Multi-phasic scanners
Used primarily in scanning objects or people. Linked with a database, the scanner helps to discern everything right down to the molecules, giving a usually accurate and fair report of the object in question.

Molecular Reconstructor
A sort of medic on the go, the reconstructor allows for the rebuilding of a damaged biological. It uses a special form of energy to reattach and regenerate the cells that it targets.

Site-to-Site Transportation Systems
Unlike from Star Trek, the site to site transportation systems do not break down people and simply ‘fax’ them to a location. Instead the site to site transportation systems will envelope a person in a thin bubble. The bubble will then accelerate all matter within it, causing it to appear at the appointed location. The object stays intact and unaffected, simply causing it ‘appear’ at any given location.

Light Bending Cover Technology
Otherwise known as a cloaking unit, the technology bends light and most sensor technology around the ship in order to hide it from visual and scanner sight.

Universal Translation Systems
Of course, with better technology, came a better understanding of language. Using special algorithms and a vast database, the UTS can help to understand pretty much every language out there. Installed within most communication devices, the UTS is almost always activated when it comes into contact with a language it isn’t set for default.

Fire Suppression Systems
At the turn of the century there came a new breed of science, with powerful and stirring ideas. Marvellous inventions were created, like the FSS. Using special focus crystal technologies, a laser system simply absorbs the exothermic reaction of the fire and instantly drains the fire and causes it to die. It’s similar to removing the oxygen from the fire, cutting off the fuel source, but instead it’s almost instantaneous.

Sub-spatial Bubble Technology
Creating a sort of bubble around the ship in question, the bubble pinches itself into subspace at the front, and releases the ship at the back, propelling the craft at faster than light. The more energy put into the bubble, the faster the ship can go, without the need or worry of running into objects, having entered sub-space.

Hyper Singularity Drives
Encasing a quantum singularity inside a special containment device allows for a craft to successfully travel faster than light, but at a price, as the generators can be fickle machines and often have troubles harnessing the correct energy. Not to mention using a singularity can have disastrous results if it were ever breached.

Point Plasma Warp
One of the safest ways of travelling, the Point Plasma Wrap is a drive that simply causes a ship to suddenly exist in a predetermined spot. While Point Plasma Warp burns a lot of energy, it cannot be denied that it is one of the fastest ways of travel, though one of the most expensive. These drives are usually only outfitted on large Star cruiser Class vessels.

Spatial Wormhole Generator
One of the most unique ways of travelling is simply the SWG. Creating a wormhole in front of the ship, one must choose where the wormhole will end. Entering the wormhole’s event horizon will send the ship traversing through it, passing through suns, planets, even black holes. However, the danger of the SWG travel is that creating the exit for the wormhole is extremely dangerous, as one can end up smashing into a planet.

Time-Space Dimension Warp Creator
Ever wondered what it would be like to punch a hole into the fabric of time and space in order to travel? This handy little system can do just that. A small generator core that uses an enclosed dimension, harnessing the power from a second dimension in order to gather massive quantities of energy, this new type of protogenerator can punch holes in the universe, allowing one to simple fly their ship from one point in the universe to another. However the effects of punching a hole through the time-space continuum are still unknown.

FLOAT
Faster than Light Over Accelerated Time system. The FLOAT system was designed to basically make the ship infinitely lighter, so light that it is able to simply slip through time itself. Since in space, time is overruled by distance, one simply accelerates time itself, and the universe will then move around the ship. This can cause great problems, as one can end up inside of planets, suns, ships, and space junk.

Slipstream Technology
A wildly used drive, Slipstream creates a tunnel in subspace itself, one that allows a ship to freely travel through the tunnel without worry of interruptions. When a ship enters the slipstream tunnel, the forces in the subspace tunnel projects the ship forward at alarming rates, allowing one to move over great distances in minutes. With a properly used slipstream tunnel, someone could variably move from one side of the universe to the other in a matter of a standard earth lunar month. However, Slipstream isn’t used inside planetary atmospheres, as it can be devastating when it opens up that tunnel of subspace, creating a sort of hole that explodes with great ferocity when the ship enters.

Jump Drives
The jump drive is one of the most powerful drives in existence in terms of movement. The jump drive basically causes the ship to jump slowly forward, until it gains speed and travels faster than light itself. The most incredible thing about a Jump Drive is that the forces of inertia are not exerted on the ship. It means that the ship can move in any direction INSTANTLY when travelling by jump drive. It also means that the ship’s inhabitants or objects within do not succumb to inertia. It is a powerful drive but unfortunately fighting is rather impossible at these speeds and at the instantaneous jump directions.

Zipper Drives
A rotating plasma drive engine leaves an ionic trail behind it in a form not so dissimilar to well…a zipper. The drives propel crafts using small bursts of plasma injected into the system, a very cost efficient way to save on fuel. However, ships over a hundred feet cannot be outfitted with this particular drive, as it will not propel them.

Magnetic Propulsion
Using a combination of magnets and auto-sustaining electricity, a ship traverses space using this almost silent and undetectable engine system. The drive system is incapable of going in reverse, just as most drives are, and can be prone to having the polarity reversed, turning the ship into one large magnet.

Pure Energy Drive
A pure energy drive, or PED, is an alien created drive system that uses special crystals that resonate and create a vast amount of energy which is utilized in a special fuel-less engine that requires only the crystal’s energy. All parts are mechanical save for the crystals, which use a special technique of exerting inertial forces to slowly push the vessel around. However, PEDs are vulnerable to attack and have been known to overload and cause explosions which may result in a black hole.

Ionic Mass Expulsion
Using the laws of physics, the IME simply releases Ions using a special ejector to propel the ship around. This is a commonly used engine that can be outfitted into any star ship needed, though, the bigger the ship, the more IME drives it will need to propel itself.

“Smart” AI Super Computers
With its own distinct personality, the AI super computer was built to serve. It will always do what it’s told by whatever official owner is registered. The computer is usually used to store data, run the systems, and as well monitor the crews with internal sensors. The Smart system is basically an advanced form of autopilot, where if need be, you can turn the ship to manual.

“Dumb” AI Super Computers
Like its advanced cousin, the computer was built to serve, running all basic systems. However the computer does not learn like the smart system, it simply does what it is told and runs things within the optimal set parameters.

Advanced Biogenic Computer
One of the outlawed computer systems, created by Aliens, is the ABC. This computer is made up of multiple brains hooked up to electrode systems which send and receive data through neural pathways all around the ship. A cornucopia of these living brains acts as advanced computers, though they are ‘installed’ with their own personalities, but are generally compliant. Whether the brains are alien or humans is undetermined, but these alien ship systems are rarely used for looking too human, and too cruel.

Magnetically Powered Generators
Utilizing magnetic coil generators and a vacuumed system, the MPG can create massive amounts of power with very little effort. The MPG is almost always on and working, and is virtually silent. It can even be coated in scanner resistant coating to stop it from leaving a magnetic trail in space or being detected with scanners. The MPG however has a lot of working and moving parts, so maintenance is a large key for it.

Plasma Inducted Cores
The PIC is a modern marvel, using plasma and antimatter to create stable releases of energy, hooked up with fluidic circuitry, the PIC is a versatile system that can create stable energy with very little effort. However, the PIC must be fed with unstable antimatter and plasma when it runs low and it can be a costly and dangerous endeavour. However, on refined plasma and a form of stable antimatter, a ship can run full system for well over a year with little trouble. The key with the PIC system is to have a ship capable of transferring power to necessary systems in almost instantaneous times, or else the ship will suffer from energy loss.

Universe Expansion Engine
The UEE was brought from Vega during the last century. It is a form of spatial energy trapped within a rapidly turning engine. The device harnesses the energy from other universes in order to create vast amounts of energy. This energy is Generic Universal Energy, or GUE, which it means it can be used to power just about any device, whether Terran or Alien.

Zipper Class
Installed with minimal weapons and a zipper drive, the Zipper class is usually an attack fighter that is used in conjunction with a space station or a larger cruiser it can dock with. The Zipper class doesn’t have very many shields, but a small detachment of these fighters can turn the tide of any fight. Small, fast, and reliable, they’re very good at dog fights and the like.

Cruisers
Larger and more durable, the Cruisers are much larger than the Zipper class, and carry more of a punch. With strong armour plating, reliable shields and multiple weapons, the Cruisers are the backbones of any fleet. Good for taking hits and carrying multiple Zipper class ships on the hull.

Orbital Class Cruiser
Weighing in at over nine hundred thousand tonnes and almost four football fields long, two hundred stories tall, the Orbital Cruiser is a devastating machine. Coming in a wide variety of shapes and looks, the Orbital Cruiser was meant for orbital attacks. Mounted up with some of the largest lasers, powerful generators, and even a special gravity generator to stop ships from escaping easily, the Orbital Cruiser was meant to be the protection of the stars, able to help defend off entire fleets. The cruiser’s holds carry several battalions of Zipper class fighters, able to help defend the cruiser from smaller attacks. The Orbital Cruiser does not land however, as it is much too large to leave the atmosphere.

Raven Class
Larger than the Zipper Class fighters, the Raven Class was meant for one thing and one thing only. Bombing runs. Carrying a small crew compliment of only four people, but loaded down to the teeth with a great deal of spatial torpedoes, the Raven Class was meant to be a stealth attacker. Holding very little shielding, it has instead a cloak, allowing it to move mostly undetected.

Phoenix Class
Just as large as the Raven class, this fighter holds no torpedoes, but instead is the opposite. Loaded with heavy weapons and powerful shields, the Phoenix class was meant to take a beating and keep on kicking. With a crew compliment of fifteen, the Phoenix class is loaded with almost twelve turrets and cannons, mostly manned.

Farshot Class
Like the catapult of the ancient times, the Farshot Class was meant to produce carnage. The Farshot class can open spatial rifts that are incredibly violent and unstable. These rifts can last for an upward of a day and grow to over five hundred feet in every direction. Like black holes, they were meant to suck things in, using intense gravitational pulls to crush whatever is within it’s grip into compressed atoms. The Farshot class however produces a special shield frequency that allows it to slip into these spatial anomalies and use them as a tunnel system. The ship however only has enough power to keep three of these anomalies up.

Pod Class Carrier
The Carrier is a mighty beast that weighs at ten thousand tonnes and is just over two football fields long. Though it is only seventy five stories tall, like its larger cousin the Orbital Cruiser, this Carrier was meant to destroy. However, it is used to knock out defensive systems before it sits in orbit and releases thousands of transport pods onto a planet. This is mainly used as a way to get thousands of troops onto a planet’s surface.

Firestorm Class
The Firestorm class ship is used with several hundred others of the same class to do one thing. Scorch the land. Sitting in orbit, they collect radiation from the stars and just from space in general, and focus it into a spreading beam. When it hits the surface and spreads with the hundreds of other releases of the deadly beams, it supercharges the air into a sort plasma, which explodes and removes everything, cleansing the planet.

Gallant Class Fighter
The Gallant Class was just like the Medieval Calvary Knight of Ancient times. Used as heavy backup or front line assaults, protected by a thick armour and shield with somewhat powerful weapons. Like the Zipper class, the Gallant is a larger, slower version of the fighter. With room for five people, the Gallant was meant to be a turtle ship, one that could fire in different directions while a pilot avoided attacks. The Gallant was always the backbone, helping the Zipper class in a pinch.

Blasters
The need to kill never left, and with it came a more advanced weapon. Using superheated energy, the blaster can rip through most matter with little ease. It can be foiled by such things as energy shields and tuned magnetic resonators to deflect shots, or in some cases, simply spread the energy so thin that they do nothing. The blasters can be set to incapacitate a target, where the energy used simply disrupts neural circuitry and causes the person hit to enter a paralytic state. Blasters can come in all forms, from heavy firing machine guns, to almost derringer sized weapons.

Plasma Weaponry
Plasma damage is heat based, while some weapons use a form of kinetic energy to deal damage. Encasing plasma in a high intensity energy shield ensures the plasma will travel at the speed of light to its target. The energy field ensures that the plasma stops acting like a gas and more like a laser.

Tachyon Weapons
Powerful beam technology that uses a high concentration of radiation to cut through armour. Not very effective for fighting against a shielded unit, but using high doses of it can cause holes to appear in shields. Tachyon technology uses a limitless conductor to create the Tachyon Particles but it still needs to recharge, therefore it can’t be continuously fired, but with such high yield it doesn’t really need to be fired constantly.

Phasor Weapons
Phasor, which stands for Phased Octanganel Refraction takes energy and sends it through a crystal. The crystals are rather easy to create, and therefore most ships are installed with a few compliments of these weapons spread out on board. The Phasor is a great weapon, but like Tachyon Technology it is a beam weapon that is fired in bursts.

Singularity Drivers
Singularity drivers create small projectiles that utilize a massive density. When in space, the ability to throw a projectile of massive density at your enemy is keen. The object is surrounded by a bubble of ionized helium, keeping the heavy density at bay until it reaches the intended target, at which point it will explode and cause damage to ships.

Photonic Weapons
Photonic torpedoes solve much of the problem of speed on previous missile generations. They act almost like bolts of energy but have a guided warhead within the energy field. The result is a weapon that is much faster but just as accurate as previous generation missile weapons.

Kinetic Gravity Weapons
A KGW is a special weapon that uses an unstable form of matter to inflict damage. A gravity field surrounds the unstable mass so it may be accelerated to its target. Once it reaches the target, the field collapses and the mass returns to its natural state, which causes immense amounts of kinetic energy to be released.

Neutrino Shells
These don’t technically exist, in fact you can’t see a Neutrino shell. Instead, Neutrinos produced are simply a by-product of the mass created in another dimension. If the mass was stored in the current dimension it would simply be too large to utilize. So storing it in another dimension is proper. When fired, the shell will travel effortlessly through space until it comes into contact with another significant mass and then reform in our dimension, causing great amounts of destruction, and the resulting explosion can be dangerous.

Anti-Matter Torpedo
Basically the AMT has one chamber filled with Anti-Matter. When the torpedo hits a desired object, the anti-matter contacts the matter, say the armour of a ship, it explodes. It’s basically using the ship’s own armour as a weapon, an effective strategy unless the ship has the shields up. People also use two chambered AMT, where one chamber has matter and the two will collide causing an explosion.

Null Technology
Null technology is a dangerous and outlawed technology. Using a special system, it creates a beam which when contacting any matter, it causes all atoms to lose cohesion and shoot away from each other. Basically speaking, it causes the atoms that make up most matter to spread out from each other. It almost looks like a person is disintegrating right before your eyes.
