Backstory:
Xalk grew up in a decent home. His mother was the embodiment of warmth and kindness. She gave him every ounce of her she could to see him grow. She taught him all of his morals and values he still holds to this day. His father on the other was a drunk that paid no attention to him except for the first couple years after birth. He lost all interest in the child and nearly gambled him away for personal gain. Thankfully only his mother knew that, and took care of the situation before word got to Xalk. One night, when he was merely 10 years old, during dinner a rumbling was heard within the house. When Xalk went to go look where it was coming from, the only thing that he found were his parents stabbed right in front of him on the dinner table. Xalk looked at his parents motionless bodies for a solid 5 minutes, not even listening to the killer's threats. Once the killer attempted to make a move, it was too late, for Xalk had gone into an emotionless state where his electrokinesis ran rampant. The entirety of his home shook along with the entire complex losing power. In an instant Xalk was at the killer's gut, he shocked him enough to paralyze him for the rest of his life, but Xalk wasn't done. He stared into the killer with his emotionless face no glimmer of fear, righteousness, or grief to be found. He grabbed a knife from the table and slit the throat off the murderer's head. The only thing that he kept from his home, still holds dear to him from that day is a blue rose that his mother had always kept in her hair. He carries it with him everywhere he goes.
Living alone was stressful for Xalk, over the course of his life he poured himself into his passion for designing systems and making them work with his electrokinesis that he has had since he could remember, alongside his abnormally strong aptitude for telekinesis. He was always invested in his work, mainly due to his lack of interaction with other Aedolans. He was screened the day after he turned 13 and showed amazing promise to become a Pilot. He breezed through the whole process with the first sense of excitement he had in years and graduated at the fastest possible rate due to his sheer intelligence and prowess with his abilities. He's currently paired with Trosko, a hearty dragon who chose him due to his potential. Over the course of his candidacy he learned to truly use his electrokinesis to power his electronics with a simple touch of his hand.
Personality:
Xalk is extremely shy, and for good reason. He never really had any true friends, when it comes to day by day interactions he's very nervous and practically has no confidence. He barely knows how to woo any girl let alone a woman. In regards to talking about his parents, hes become stoic when the conversation pops up. Otherwise he's just working.
UPDATEAfter going on a long hiatus due to a very questionable event that happened some time ago, Xalk has become vastly more confident in himself. He openly seeks to help anyone out and isn't afraid to talk to anyone.
When it comes to teamwork and combat, he is adequate at adapting to any situation. His stoic nature only appears during combat and serious situations, but he still retains his conscious of who's friend and foe.
Appearance:
Xalk has blue hair and is practically always wearing a nice grey jacket with a simple black shirt underneath alongside some jeans. Whenever he's not in uniform this is his go to. He's surprisingly skinny for his build, but has very defined calves and forearms.

It's made of 2 pieces: Blade guard/hilt combo with a revolving hole for multiple attachments, and the blade which retracts into a small knife with a grip that acts as an assembly piece for the full rapier when needed. The blade extends once attached and he can use the rapier to amp his powers to send waves of electricity. He also can use it as a way to quickly maneuver around the battlefield if need be.
Note: He DOES NOT rely on this, if anything it's a glorified shishkabob skewer on a day to day basis, he also does not bring it with him to work. Gadgets and gizmos- stuff that he tinkers with, if it's small enough to fit in his pocket, unfinished or not, he'll take it with him.
Combat State- Xalk during a state of combat or a serious situation, will become completely stoic. He still retains his conscious to know who's friend or foe. He can enhances his movements with electrokinesis but at best he can only keep the electricity flowing for 5 minutes, it allows him to move faster than normal but due to its minimal amount of use after the candidate program, achieving this electrified state has been rare.
