Physical Description
He's still a big guy, tall as he is built and strong as hell. At one point his skin was likely a mocha color, however after so many years of tattoos put over top of tattoos, it has darkened to a light brown, interrupted by weaving patterns of black ink and the pale gray of too many scars. His hair is a mixture of extreme dark brown and black, and it's now kept free of braids. It's wavy in texture, and potentially hints that he came from a tropical island region originally. He also sports a fancily shaven trim around his chin and jawline, rugged and sharp. His eyes are mismatched; the right eye is permanently damaged from a fight he doesn't even remember, completely blind and an eerie milky white. The left eye is a gold like the metal, shining and sometimes burning amber in dark lights, almost as if it glows.

Personality
Kirkley's got a lot of conflicting emotions in him, built one on top of another over countless centuries of interacting with others, dealing with loss and love and countless lifetimes of emotions he was never meant for.

On the outside he seems like a rather normal guy; he can socialize with just about anybody and no one would guess he's over the age of 50. He's gotten good at burying things deep down and not talking about it; he refuses to. Not like they'd believe him anyways. He can be funny and sweet, still able to care for just about any stranger he meets, empathizing with them and offering to help where he can. He's not a saint--he's lost his humanity a couple of times and had to struggle for many years many times over to find it again.

Get him by himself however, and depending on how much he trusts you, you'll see a different man altogether--mostly just one who's extremely worn down. He's exhausted, plagued by loneliness. He tries not to dwell on it too much, throwing pity parties for himself usually just make it worse. If he focuses on it too long it'll get to him and he'll spend another five or twenty years at the bottom of a bottle, and he'd rather not.

Kirkley just tries to get by on a day to day basis, living life in the moment, not letting himself reflect on the past; it's kind of a defense and survival mechanism, really. He's pretty fed up with dealing with his existential depression.

Magic/Abilities
Amaranth's Enchantment:
Kirkley is gifted/cursed with immortality along with his ability to transform into a prehistoric beast. This makes him like a pseudo were-creature of sorts, and yet different. He can transform at will, however it isn't painless, with much shifting, growing, bone breaking and re-arranging, it's not very pleasant to witness firsthand.
- Increased regeneration
- Immune to diseases
- Increased strength and agility

Relationships
Bifrost-
Kirkley's soul mate, to be put simply. He died 3000 years ago, and Kirkley had been searching desperately for him to reappear in this galaxy ever since.

Ain- An ancient dragon and Kirkley's longest standing best friend--also the only one who he's gotten close with who is even remotely close to him in age. They understand each other, protect each other and do their best to help each other get by.

Shen- Kirkley's son who occasionally tags along on his pirate-y adventures!

Aesir- The current reincarnation of Bifrost.

Hesperus- What was once an intensely romantic relationship has steadily turned platonic over the years; the two know each other well and are close friends. He's Kirkley's First Mate on the ship, and one of the few people in the galaxy to know so many of Kirkley's secrets.

History
Kirkley was never meant to be immortal. To be honest, from the tribe he came from, he maybe should have lasted to age 40 and then keeled over from a cold. But shit happens, and sometimes you get cursed by a god's enchantment in a prehistoric skull and one thing just leads to another. Like being the eternal companion of said god for the rest of the foreseeable future of the universe.

His mind was not built for immortality, and forty-five thousand years is a lot of memories to try and retain. He's forgotten a lot, much of his past experiences getting pushed to the back of a mind never allowed to age, and often can only recall things unintentionally in dreams. His life is one long smear of a timeline; different ages and events bleed into each other and he can never remember what happened first, where or when, or who was there and who wasn't. He's met so many thousands of people, lost so many friends, had so many loves, it's rather difficult for him to take it all in. So he just... Doesn't. He doesn't think about how old he is, he tries not to reflect on the past, and he just tries to live in the moment right here, right now.

But there is one thing, or rather, one person he can never forget--Bifrost... Amaranth.

And over the past 3000 years since he last died, he's driven Kirkley a little nuts.

He's joined countless wars, explored dozens of nations, searching under every rock and tree and building in the hopes that Bifrost would be reincarnated and they'd get to see each other for a third time; so far, he's been unsuccessful in finding him. He goes through bouts of depression and mourning, wondering if he'll ever even find him again, if he'll ever come back, if he's just waiting for nothing. Alcoholism comes and goes before he finds something or meets someone that gives him the courage to keep trying once again. He doesn't tell just anyone about his true goals and desires. He's tired of being laughed at and made fun of, and he can't blame anyone for calling him crazy. He's literally trying to find a needle in an infinite number of haystacks.
