Physical Description
William has the physique of a working man, with a burly frame and leathery tanned skin. His arms are covered with scars and burns closer to the hands due to years of workplace accidents. He has a kind face, with deeply etched laugh lines that compliment deep blue eyes that sparkle with curiosity and wonder. He has a pearly white smile and booming hearty laugh that are both nearly concealed by a thick, messy, dirty blonde beard that contradicts a perfectly smooth, bald head. On the back of William's neck, on his top vertebrae, is a small, intricate, chip that blips red every 30 seconds or so.
Personality
William is a very knowledgeable person, but he would never let that get in the way of him having a good time, he's constantly looking for an excuse to piss an evening away drinking and gambling with anyone looking for a good time. The only thing that really sets William off is anything related to his work (which he despises)
Magic/Abilities
William is an absolute genius, creating and patenting dozens of new inventions, many of which go towards benefitting the company he works for, and some of which become widely commercially used. As far as fisticuffs go, William is decent with a hammer and wrench, and aside from that he's shit outta luck. Security isn't his concern after all.
William also has a chip implanted on his spinal column that allows him to communicate directly with any crew members aboard the Solar Express, as well as communicate with the train's artificial intelligence by thought.

History
[WIP]
As a child growing up in the frontier, William was extremely gifted with machines, repairing his first jumpdrive when he was only 8 years old, and it was obvious he wouldn't be there for long. Fate came knocking on the door some years later as a young adult when a friend from William's childhood came to him with an offer, join him and travel the stars, and he would be fabulously wealthy. Not one to turn down a deal like that, William took up his friends offer, and became an employee at the Solar Express.
