R&R in Superfluous [open]

Setting his Raider down just outside of Superfluous, Warhawk saw the locals slowly approach his ship from the monitor. Exiting through the cargo bay he watched them removed their cargo out the hold. Slipping into his sleeveless duster he drew up the hood and settled an earpiece in his ear. Deciding the wait before he starts his next jobs. Warhawk, after taking his two hundred and fifty pounds of rare metals as payment, pulled out an ancient wheeled atv and started it.

Hearing the engine rumble, he waited till the locals were out of sight before peeling off down the same trail heading towards the town. Minutes drew on as he went on autopilot. 'So alone.' he thought as the town came into view. Pulling up along side the saloon, Warhawk shuts of the atv and sighed inwardly. Dismounting he walked around to the front, his gaze scanning around. Shouldering through the swinging doors he sat at corner table with his back to a wall. Rolling his shoulders Warhawk propped his booted feet atop a chair. "Can get ya anything darlin'?" Settling his gaze on the curvy saloon girl he smirked slightly. "Just a beer." he replied. Seeing the girl nod and leave, he settles in for an long stay.

Setting an datapad from his home world on the table, Warhawk watched the last video in a playlist that his mother made days before her death. Reaching and touching the screen with a finger he could feel the saddness condense in his heart. 'I miss you mom.' he mused closing his eyes against the unshed tears. Rubbing his face roughly, Warhawk shook his head to clear it. "It never leaves nor gets better. No matter how long it's been since the original incident." he said to himself.

Hours had passed as he nursed the beer in his hand. Ignoring any attempts at small talk, he worked a story that had finally wormed it's way of his head. 'Things could've been different if idiots hadn't ruined everything.' Warhawk thought, pausing to reaccess his surroundings. Seeing no trouble, not that he excepted any, he resumed typing away on the pad.
