CH. I – Painting a Portrait
As a subset of the human species, Caiber differ little from their genetic cousins in terms of obvious physicality.  With two arms and two legs, Mars is tall – though not quite as tall as others of his kind, well-built, although not overly foreboding.  His figure is broad, firm, and lightly colored.  Lack of contact with UV rays has left him largely pale.  His hair is short, often slicked back, and a vivid white-blonde with eyes a deep cobalt blue.  Facial features make him appear gaunt, his nose however, is broad from the nostrils and wide at toward the bridge. His lips are full, chin and jaw sturdy.

+ CAIBER +
Caiber are generally tall and stronger in physique than a standard human. They are often fair-skinned, though tones can vary, with varying hair colors – ranging from starry night to bright neon.  They have increased longevity, capable of living for decades without any appearance of aging, possibly capable of living for centuries.  Their bodies are covered in various plugs and ports which are self-closing, those originally created in a laboratory setting.  Sterility is high among their kind, although there are a few cases of successful interbreeding with humans and other species.

They tend to bond very closely with one person, and do not often stray. Their mental abilities lend to superior intellect, with a vast range of psychokinetic abilities.

 + NOTABLE MARKS +
Several ports and plugs ride along Mars' body, namely along his arms and legs.  These help inject him with certain fluids/drugs necessary to sustain him.

CH II – Mental Make-up
Mars dislikes rash decisions, actions made in haste without consideration to the consequences.  He is an intelligent, thoughtful person, empathetic to others, with no desire to spread hate and violence.   The same can't be said for the rest of his kind.  He was a soldier once, fought against ruin, but war had taught him that it brought only suffering.

That being said, he's loyal to those he loves and cares for, and would do what he feels is right to protect them.  He has a strong sense of what he believes to be right and wrong. As easily he feels he connects with people, disconnecting with them has a strong effect on him. He can sense others even across vast distances.

Much of his suffering as left him disillusioned with life at large, in particular humankind.

+ FAITH +
Religion has no meaning to him anymore, if it ever did.

+ HABITS +
TBA* through RP

CH III – Social

+ RELATIONSHIPS +
Vex – Estranged Lover – Last detected to be alive, location unknown.

CH IV – Abilities / Skills
+ CAIBER +
He has many basic psychokinetic abilities attributed to his race, among them astral projection, vast distance telepathy, creating force fields, telekinesis. Mutation allows for some Caiber to form abilities unique to them. Some can manipulate elemental forces, encase their bodies in metal, communicate with computers, teleport, create body doubles, mind control, and even super-charging their bodies into walking bombs – an ability referred to as “going nova” - killing themselves and wiping out life for thousands of miles.

CH V – Gear / Equipment
N/A as he is currently asleep on a derelict ship.

CH VI – Reflections of the Past
+Race Description and Background +
Caiber are bioengineered replicants to their human counterparts.  In a sense, they are a subspecies, created in a lab by the Forge Empire to save it from extinction. They were created in a time of war, for war, to fight an enemy too strong in number.  They are powerful psychic-kinetics, with ranging abilities.  Their gifts were not given without cost, the Empire using drugs to both power and control them, among them a powerful steroid known as Hydra.

They were strong enough to withstand elements that would otherwise kill a human easily, their mental prowess harnessed to predict enemy movements in combat, and respond accordingly with superior reflexes and strength.  However, what made them better, also separated them from the rest of the humans within the Empire.

When the war was over, there was no place for them, and their numbers had grown a billion strong. Decades passed, Caiber attempting to find life in a time of peace, to little avail. Time had given to mutations in their gifts, addiction giving way to to the breaking of their own humanity. Many of the Empire's citizens were scared of their intermingling, stating they were too dangerous to be among normal people. Caiber were ostracized and discriminated, and the Empire's forces forced them to be quarantined on a deserted world, devoid of life.

Instead of being resigned to their fate, they built their world into a haven for them.  A home. And things were peaceful for a time. Some could even say tensions had dissipated. Caiber created a civilization all their own, a government, a faith, a military.

Some, however, were not satisfied with Caiber exclusion, and pushed for their total annihilation, when a Caiber had a meltdown and destroyed an outer rim planet.  Once that had happened, their fate had been sealed. Their Empire began complete genocide of the creations they had made.

Despite their abilities, they were hopelessly outnumbered and years of fighting had left many Caiber mad from post-traumatic stress, drug addiction, and more.  Their weapons had been seized, their home world now destroyed.  Only 500 managed to escape, boarding a vessel and drifting off into unknown space.  There was no destination, no plan for escape. They boarded the vessel hoping to find peace, the ship was set with systems on auto, the survivors placed in cryogenic sleep.
