A stroke of bad luck [Open!]

"Go, just go..." Shunsuke pressed his hands onto the controls of his vehicle, and attempted to start the engine. It made a faint sound, moved a few inches forwards, and... Stopped. The past fifteen minutes got him less than two feet forwards. Truly desperate, considering he still had miles and miles of distance to cover before getting to his sisters' house. Desperate. The engine jus refused to start, no matter what he did.

He pulled his phone out of the pocket of his coat, and selected Naori's number, ready to call her. The battery of that was almost out, too... But after a few beeps and no response, the familiar sound of the device turning off rang in his ear. No, his transport breaking wasn't enough, his phone had to turn off, too. Hopefully someone would find him soon... He might even die here if that wouldn't happen! Suffocate from the thin air, or catch a cold here and...

Shaking his head to get his mind off it, he climbed over the front seat to the back, to retrieve an oxygen mask. For now, he wouldn't need it, but after the oxygen levels in the car would go down, he would definitely feel an need for it. He gently set it down onto the seat next to him, and fastened his scarf.

What a stroke of bad luck! If someone wouldn't find him before nightfall...

Dusk's ship was positioned in what he assumed what was the middle of nowhere, although he couldn't be sure. Aerial views would reveal several smatterings of small settlements, and a few could easily slip past surveillance. From what he could observe, the more distant areas from the huge cities also seemed to be more lawless, a place of constant flux as people tried to make their mark on the world.

The fact that he was hiding out in a dangerous area only added to his paranoia when a blip on the radar pinged itself on the display. Not only that, but it seemed to have came to crawl before stopping completely. Had someone seen him? Performing surveillance on him possibly? Obviously a single dot on a radar wasn't going to tell him much. He needed visual confirmation of whatever this was.

A hatch opened up as a drone was jolted to life. This one was armed, just in case this was something to be concerned about. It looked a bit scrappy, but what could you do when your main source of resources was from scavenging?

The drone started trekking towards the unknown object, by no means in a stealthy way either. Hopefully it was all a false alarm, Dusk did not like the idea of replacing another drone.
