Ysa Brazen had just finished going over the defence plans in case of the station being breached and invaded. She had parted with the Lieutenants and they were now already scheduled to meet their Officers and soldiers to start the actual preparations and manning. By some sheer chance, it left the Commander with a few precious unscheduled minutes to clear her mind and think things through.
She stood on a platform that had a good view over the military docking area on this platform. Beneath her everything was buzzing with life as mechanics had ships to get ready and equipped as well as pilots and their crews were readying their ships and going over procedures.
Ever since the Aedolis declaration things had been crazy, there was so much to do and the list never got any shorter. So much on Ysa's to-do list was delegating jobs to others and having for most of her working life been one to do things as well as order, this was hard. Looking down at the space ships, she remembered how nice it had been to run around readying her old ship before a big run. But never as big as this one, and she'd be cooped up in the space station trying to save her people from getting killed out there.
She sighed, then picked up her small computer to figure out where she had to be next.
