His alarm clock beside his bed rang and a hand shot out from beneath his bedding to slap at the snooze button. It took him a few times but eventually it went off with a sharp click. Giving a little groan, the shape beneath the blankets moved, the whisper of fabric against fabric loud in the gathering morning. Some light shone in between the blinds, shining straight into his eyes. Blinking, he looked up and around before he stretched and wiped the sleepiness from his eyes. He was going to go out today and look and see how the music industry was doing. He had heard that one of his favorite bands was releasing another new album today and he wanted to get it so that he could get even more ideas about what to do with his music next. He was running out of ideas and he needed something jump start his mind and so he had decided to go out today and get the CD. Giving a little grunt, he came out of his bed and went for the shower, immediately dipping beneath of it to wash himself off. He didn't want to go out into public and potentially run into someone that enjoyed his own music and style and scare them away with his smell. so he finished getting himself all clean and shaven before he came out, wrapping a towel around his waist and he ran his fingers through his hair, ruffling it up and spreading water everywhere as he left the bathroom to get ready for his day out.

He pulled on a pair of his loose green pants, wrapping a belt around his waist. Pulling on a black fishnet shirt, he pulled it down over the top half of his torso, the end of the shirt not even reaching his belly button. A bright orange shirt went on top of that, the zipper up in front, something that he left open to show his skin beneath of it. He moved his jacket and his shirt to better show off the skin beneath and after he pulled on his bright yellow and orange hair, he looked at himself in the mirror, putting on his highlighter orange eyelashes around his black eyes, so pitch-black that they almost seemed empty, soulless, lifeless. He had no whites around his eyes so it was hard to say what color his eyes would have been were they not black all around his eyes. Maybe they would have been blue or even green if he were to not have fae blood in him. It was really the only thing that said that he wasn't human. His eyes and in some respects, he was pale enough that he could be considered inhuman in that sense too. He was pale no matter how much sun that he went out into, and he was very skinny, all giving him an almost ethereal quality to his skin. He was certainly a beautiful creature though and he knew it. It helped him with his status in this part of the city. He was an entertainer through and through at the end of the day.

Making his way out of his apartment, he made sure to lock it up tight after him and he hummed happily, pulling a lollipop from his pants and undoing it, he started to suck on it as he made his way to the music store towards the main part of the city. He hummed as he walked along, skipping precariously on his several-inch high platform shoes. He skipped expertly over all of the different cracks and pitfalls in the roads as he walked along. Giving a little surprised sound as he reached the music store, he walked into the place and he looked around, smiling as he picked up some of the new cds when something else bright and shiny attracted his attention. It was the newest type of camera that was the cutting edge. It was so small and yet it was supposed to be incredibly powerful and really amazing to use. He picked it up, his lollipop that was shaped just like a penis and a set of balls balanced between his lips as he turned the piece of equipment over. It was brand new, something that just came out today but surprisingly no one was out there yet swooning over it besides him. Maybe it was just because it was so new or maybe just because he was far too geeky for his own good about this sort of thing but already he was trying to think about what kinds of pictures that he could make with this camera and how they would be different.

Today was just one of those days where he needed to get away.

Away from the Citadel, away from the ATC, out into the city where he could lose himself in the crowd and go, mostly, unrecognized. Besides, he had some urgent business to attend to! One of his favorite bands had released a new CD and a new World of Warlocks expansion pack had just come out, complete with new playable races and everything! He swung by the game store and picked up the expansion pack first, grabbing a second for Alaric.

They needed to play this thing yesterday.

The music store was next to the game shop, so he meandered over there, firing off a text to Alaric along the way and not really paying attention to where he was going. At least, not until his shoulder bumped another body and he snapped his head back up.

"Oh, sor--"

Then he got a good look at the guy and cut off.

It was a dude. At least, he thought it was a dude. Anyway, there was a person.

In crazy clothes.

With a penis lollipop.

Gabriel stared. Then he stared a little more and, biting back a laugh, he pulled out his phone. "Okay, I just gotta. Don't move," he said and closed an eye to frame the shot, snapping a quick picture. A second later and he'd fired off a mass text, because that just begged to be shared. And hey, the guy had no right to complain! With those kinda clothes and that kinda sucker, he was kind of begging for attention.

Gabriel would know. He was a fellow attention whore, minus the penis lollipop and plus better clothes.

In his opinion, which was of course the only one that counted.

He loved to get the best and the latest when it came to things like electronics. After all, the life of a DJ demanded that he get his things together and keep up on everything new and fashionable. But the clothing, well, that was his own choice and he had to say that he rather enjoyed it. Giving a little smile as he looked at it, he held it in one hand while he fished around in his back pocket for his wallet. Afterwords though, he looked around, wondering what else there was that he could buy from the store today. He had some time to kill before it was his time to go to the studio and work on his music after all. Suddenly though he was being bumped into and he blinked as he looked over at the other male who had ran into him. He blinked in surprise, his completely blackened eyes disappearing from sight before they reappeared again.

Without seeming to really care what the other thought of him, he gave a little smile and he took a little bit of a step back. Hearing the beginning of an apology, he shook his head but then the other male cut himself off and it earned another blink of surprise from him. Well now what was going on? Silence stretched between them, settling like a mantle over the two of them. The two of them stared, looking at one another for a long moment before he saw the hint of a laughter on Gabriel's face. It was a little bit of an insult but at the same time it got him the attention that he desired so why would he be too scandalized? He allowed the other to take his picture a few times, not moving as he was bid, even though he did pose a little like he was used to doing in front of the camera.

"Hello to you too. I'm Nikuyoku, or Kuku if you would rather. What's your name?" He asked as he smiled at him, still holding the new piece of equipment in his hands. He was unaware of the mass text or what it was that he was saying but it didn't really seem to be that big of a deal. After all, people gape and take pictures of him all the time after all.

"Oh, right, hi!" Gabriel said, snapping his phone shut and pocketing it. "Sorry, got distracted. Meant to say 'hi' earlier but, y'know. Got distracted again." Hey, when the 'gotta share this' bug bit, he had to scratch that itch. What could he say? He was technology's slave.

Good thing the guy--Kuku?--didn't seem to mind. He'd even posed. Yep, just as he figured, he was in this for the attention and seemed used to it. No harm done!

Shifting the plastic bag holding his games to his other arm, he extended his hand and smiled. "I'm Gabriel. So, uh, you a model or something?"

Sure, he could have just probed his brain, but the whole point of being out and about was to get away from all the psychic static. And being around a city full of people with unshielded, unprotected thoughts projecting all over the place? It could be a little much when you let your own shields down a bit.

He didn't mind all the pictures. If anything, it just made him feel as though he were as famous as he knew that he was. If he was asked, he would have posed and if wanted, he would actually pose naked without a problem. He didn't have a problem with himself and so he wouldn't have a problem doing anything for anyone else. And besides, this man that was here with him now wasn't bad to look at at all and it was rather flattering to know that his picture was going to be on this man's camera, as short a time or as long a time as it was destined to be there. Giving a little smile at him, he shook his head and gave a little giggle behind one of his hands. "It's okay I don't mind. But next time just ask and I will take a picture however you want me to," he said with his voice down at a soft sound, bordering as a purr as he took a step towards the other but still keeping just a bit of distance between the two of them. After all, he didn't want to push the other away, not when he had just met him. Now later on if this other male decided to continue hanging around him, he couldn't promise that he would always be on his best behavior. As it was he was having trouble wrapping his arms around the other's neck and smothering him with what was probably unwanted affections so with the mindset that not everyone was gay like he was, he kept his hands to himself.

The rustle of plastic bags was loud in the store and his gaze flicked down to his arms before he reached to shake the other's hand, smiling back happily. "It's a pleasure to meet you Gabriel. I am a model and a fashion designer but I'm more known as being a DJ at Synthesia. I don't know if you've ever been there before or not though," he said as he looked up at him, looking to see if there was any sort of recognition even though if there wasn't anything there then he could understand that too. After all, not everyone was for frequenting the night scene but every now and then he met someone who did go to the club. "What are you looking here for?" He asked as he looked around the store, taking back his hand and letting it go back to help hold onto the box that he held in his hands. He was pretty sure that he was going to end up buying it. After all, he had the money to spare and new things were always necessary when it came down to living in the societies of the day. He couldn't imagine being able to read the thoughts of anything and everything around him. It was hard enough trying to live around the people whom he couldn't read their thoughts; he couldn't imagine being more than he already was. His pitch-black eyes looked up at him with little emotion behind them, eerie in his features and yet oddly complimentary to everything else that he was wearing.

...Was he...hitting on him? Nah, probably not. He was probably just reading into the 'I'll take a picture any way you want' comment, but he couldn't help being a little wary after that one Pilot had been flirting so aggressively with him. He hadn't even picked up on it for a while because, generally, he wasn't used to it unless it was the over-the-top fake flirting he did with Alaric or Roman.

"Oh, that's alright! Just making a...uh, a photo journal type thing! Yeah, it's for an underground blog," he said with a smile, bullshitting. It was the truth in a broad sense; he liked snapping shots of some of the weird stuff he saw around the city and spamming his buddies with it. "Y'know, capturing the spirit of the city and highlighting the finer points of our great nation. Raising local awareness of various subcultures. Art appreciation. That kinda stuff!"

He started to rummage around some of the CDs, starting in the Pop section, which was closest to them. He paused when Kuku mentioned Syn and looked back up. "Syn? Yeah? Huh! I hang there sometimes, yeah. Dunno if I've seen you before, but I probably didn't go on the right night."

Finally, he found what he was looking for, pulling out a CD by a band called 'TelApathy' and holding it up. "Ever heard 'em?"

That was one thing about him. He was a shameless flirter and wouldn't stop unless he was told for sure that the other either didn't want it or didn't go that way. If that was the case, well he would stop for the most part and there would be no harm and no foul hopefully, but until that point he was quite open about what he liked and he was quite open about making it known when he had found someone that he was interested in, and well right now Gabriel was his main target, the poor thing. When he said the words, he meant them exactly as they came out and his eyes searched Gabriel's face trying to figure out if the other male had caught onto it yet or not. He didn't like to think that he was an aggressive flirter per se, but perhaps some people could take what he said and how he said it in that way too he supposed. The other male made up an excuse as to why he was taking his picture, and Nikuyoku smirked at him and nodded his head as if he accepted the lie but in his mind he was thinking that maybe the other male was using his pictures for more...dirty things but that was his mind running away with him. Little did he know that Gabriel had sent it to his friends and had even written a comment to his friends about the way that he dressed up. "Ooh I see, I'm glad to be in your blog then. Hopefully people will like what they see," he said with a little chuckle. After all, his entire livelihood depended on people liking what they saw.

Gabriel's attention was then turned off of him, and he watched him as he rummaged through the CDs, and he couldn't help himself but wonder what in the world the other was looking for. Nodding his head with the admittance, he tilted it to the side. "It's not surprising. We play gigs on Saturday nights most of the time, usually about two or three weeks during the month. You should come out and see me sometime," he said with a smile, looking at the CD that the other had pulled out of the many discs that were sitting there. Looking at the title, he reached to take the CD so that he could take a closer look but after a moment, he shook his head and he offered it back to the other male for him to take. "No, I haven't really heard them before. Are they good?" He asked him, giving a little thoughtful sound. The name tickled at the back of his mind but he didn't really know who they were. He couldn't keep up with all of the different bands that called this place home, but at least the name rung in his mind. Where had he heard it before? In a sudden thought, he pulled out his phone, opening it and hoisting it up so that the other could see it for sure. "Can I take your picture? I like to keep a running blog of all the people that I meet that talk to me," he said as he waited for a response. It was only fair after all, right? A picture for a picture just seemed fair.

"I like 'em!" Gabriel answered, turning to lead the way up to the register. "They're sorta pop-rock but every now and then they throw in some eclectic stuff. Got some heavier stuff sprinkled in there, a couple dance beats, some grunge. They're good, just really under-appreciated, which is a shame. They've been around for years."

He could have easily babbled on and on about it and the other 'under-appreciated' bands that he loved, but that was when Nikuyoku asked if he could take his picture. Eh? Gabriel paused halfway to the register and turned to look back at him.

"Huh? Oh, yeah, sure!" he said with an amused grin, wondering if the guy was lying about this 'running blog' the same way he'd been lying about his 'underground blog', but whatever! Wasn't like he was sucking a dick lollipop. Besides, he liked the attention, too.

And nothing, absolutely nothing, could beat all the mortifying things the Pilots' public relations representative made him go through.

Nothing this guy could do with his image could be weirder than that.

He didn't count himself as weird, he just thought that he was...eclectic. so far, he hadn't had very many complaints but quite a few people did look at him like this guy just did; as if he had just sprouted some horns and a tail to boot. Oh but wouldn't that be cute, having an outfit like that? He could make the horns, that would be no problem, and tails...well...he would have to think about that one. It was hard enough to move around on stage in some of the outfits that he wore, having a tail with him might just make him trip or something like that and he didn't particularly want to do that. Giving a little mental note to look into it, he realized that Gabriel had been talking and he hadn't even been listening! It was a common thing for him to go off in his own mind and not pay attention but even so it didn't stop the horror from creeping into his mind. What if the other had been saying something vital to the conversation? Realizing that he was missing more, he came into the conversation when Gabriel was describing the dance beats and he gave a little smile and a nod of his head. Dance beats he could do and he liked listening to them. They tended to give him ideas that he needed to continue to be original and out of the box. "I see. I'm sorry that I haven't heard them yet. Perhaps I should go back home and look them up then if you're saying that they are so good," he said with a nod of his head.

After he asked the question, he waited for a response and was pleased when he got a positive one. He liked to take pictures. After all, pictures could last for generations and he loved being able to look back and cherish the memories even if he never saw this other person again, he would always have some sort of reminder about this meeting. Perhaps he was lying about his blog or perhaps he wasn't. He did have a blog that he posted stuff on but who knew where this picture would end up. With the question, Nikuyoku gave a chuckle and a shake of his head. "That's a dangerous way to phrase the question," he said before he gave a thoughtful look, tapping his chin with one of his fingers. "Ah, why don't you just pose for me like you do in your band shots? Your favorite pose," he said as he took out his phone, entering camera mode and waiting for Gabriel to figure out what he wanted to do. He found that if he were to say what someone should do, how they should pose, well, the picture didn't always turn out looking natural, didn't always turn out looking like the photo subject was any good and it was a real shame. So he wanted Gabriel to do what he wanted but if he really had no idea then Kuku would step in and suggest how he should pose himself in order to get a good shot.
