DescriptionLittle more than a refitted light cargo lifter, the Witherlight has been rebuilt to accomodate more powerful, interstellar-capable thrusters, a robust power core and a few rudimentary weapons systems. The end result is a quick, maneuverable craft with more bulk than an interceptor but less so than any of the larger military vessels. The only weaponry to speak of consists of a pair of wing-mounted turrets and a short-range cutting laser. Neither are suited for space combat, and are intended to provide support at ground level. Curiously, the crew has recently managed to rig a somewhat unreliable stealth system into the aging ship.
The Witherlight is, at heart, something of a bucket of bolts. Its kept afloat by meticulous care, elbow grease and an ace-class pilot who's flown it through situations where it really shouldn't have been in the first place. Its crew are a bunch of smugglers, gamblers and ne'er-do-wells, so perhaps it's only fitting that their ship reflects this.
Oh, and whoever gets the name gets a cookie.
