SilverLuna:
''Thank you kind lady'' Emily said with a smile. Although she could not hide her tears. She gave the lady a polite bow for as far as she could though with her arm still being held.

''Thank you.'' Dallas said before he and his wife returned to the city where Farren would be waiting to take the girl back home.

''Do not sob Emily. If you'd just behave you could have stayed with us.'' the stepmother spoke.

''I'm sorry mommy...'' Emily said and looked back to Evadne briefly waving before silently following her parents.

Even as the three of them made their way back to the city, Evadne watched them go, holding up a hand briefly in farewell as the little girl was dragged back there. Tears glistened in the young child's eyes as her parents roughly escorted her back with them. Evadne felt her own eyes start to water, but unlike normal tears these were of a warm golden glow, possessing their own internal heat.

By this time the trio were already gone, and Evadne sighed as she contemplated what to do now. The Star would stay here for a couple of hours before she too would head into the city. Mayhap she would come across the little girl again. For now, she contented herself with watching the people around her as the children played, the parents supervised and the animals that were here frolicked. Very close to all the life she observed from space, but at the same time, oh so far away still.

SilverLuna:
At a hotel where they stayed in a rather luxery room, Farren who appearantly was a sort of butler helped Emily pack her little suitcase.

''Will Master and Mi-lady be alright on their own?'' he dared asking.

''Come back when the girl is home. There are a few servants in the house that will make sure Emily will have food and will see to it she studies.

The girl just clinged on her doll. ''I don't want to go home...'' she sobbed softly but if Farren heard he did not respond and her parents did not hear. They were at the door and bad both Farren and Emily goodbye. After all there was work to be done.

''Farren... do they hate me?'' Emily asked.

''I am not sure little lady.'' Farren replied. ''Your father finds it hard maybe to be with you.''
''Because he thinks I killed my real mommy?'' she asked as Farren closed her suitcase.

''I will bring you a nice treat when getting back.'' Farren suggested. ''How about a nice basket of strawberries?''

''I love strawberries Farren but... I just... need a friend. Someone to play with. Someone who does want to me my pappa or mamma.'' she said softly.

Farren took the suitcase and the little girl's hand. ''Unfortunatly someone with my age can not find another job quickly and I am a live in butler. I can not risk my job for you.''

''It is alright Farren I understand. I heard pappa say once that when I have come to age I could perhaps be a part of an arrangement. Whatever that is...'' she said as the two left the hotel.

Underneath the starry sky at the Meeting Place, Evadne sat back against a tree and focused on all the life around her with a smile. The aura around her glowed in response to all the children playing with each other, having a grand old time. Then she was quickly reminded of the little girl who didn't have that in her life, due to neglectful parents. Her light dimmed a little as a result, but was still there as such an ethereal light could not be completely extinguished.

The Star keenly observed all those around her for some time before getting up, starting to make her way to the city gates, inside all the glass domes where metal, glass and concrete made up the very foundation of the peoples' lives there. To her it was a very unnatural way to live, but the earthbound Star went with it as she had done so many times before in order to adjust to something unusual on other worlds.

Millions and billions of years of life saw to it that there wasn't much the Star hadn't seen before, especially one who was given the freedom to travel anywhere in the universe at any time she desired. It was entirely possible that one day her situation could change and with it that freedom to explore would be gone. However, it wasn't so much a depressing thought as it was something that all her kind accepted as it were. Some that couldn't descend now may be able to later, as well as the opposite were true. Such was the nature of Stars and their very existence.

Evadne heard the distinct sounds of gasps and 'who could that be?' as she made her way inside the first city of the great nation called Aedolis. It was nothing unusual to her as she had experienced this very thing countless times, it long ago having ceased to really affect her. Looking up, she no longer saw open sky, but a myriad of walkways and platforms stretching for as high as the eye could see. Cars and other vehicles whizzed on by, their loud noises only part of all the cacophony evident here. Various machines did their work efficiently and without complaint, as they possessed no soul inside of them, mechanical things that they were.

Eventually she found a small piece of nature in this synthetic place, a small garden plot where she took the time to sit down and just relax, still observing everything around her. Several people came up to her and chatted with her, and Evadne welcomed them in turn, chatting with them as well. Soon, she was alone again and the celestial being hoped she would once more meet the little girl. The sadness prevalent about the small child was not something easily forgettable, especially not to a Star.
