__________________IN-DEPTH STUFFPhysical Description Fang is a bit short for his species which is usually around six feet tall. His large wolf like ears are brown and rusty red with white tips. His eyes are a spectacular shade of green. His tail like his ears is reddish brown with a white tip. His body, unlike other ‘furry’ humanoids is not covered in fur but is smooth with a bit of white chest fur, like most mature males of his species.
When in his four-legged form his whole body is covered in the rusty red and brown fur you see on his ears and tail.
Clothing: Fang wears the uniform of his people’s royal guard, a black tunic with silver trimming. The black trousers that go with it have two vertical silver slashes that go from hip to ankle, denoting the rank of officer.
Personality Fang is the quiet one you never expect to be anything more than a hydroponics technician or a janitor. He doesn’t tend to butt into conversations, he only responds when spoken to directly, and even then it with minimal dialog. He has a few interests he pursues with a single mindedness that is actually rather impressive. As a warrior he is a silent killer. He doesn’t yell, he doesn’t roar, he simply fire his laser pistols and leave a trail of bodies.
He is not a cold blood killer however. In fact killing makes his feel ill but it is the only thing he has ever known. He loves children and small creatures. His personal interests include a small planetoid he had terra-formed to have the same atmosphere as his home planet. The planetoid is called ‘Home’, and is populated with native animals from his home planet. This is where he plans to retire.
Magic/Abilities Fang can shape-shift to a four-legged Canine-like form like all of his species. He is also telepathic, like his kind.

History Fang was born on Fenra prime, his people’s home planet. He was abandoned on the door step of a Warrior Caste Fenren, Fang of Winter, who took him in and raised him like a son, even giving him his name. Fang was raised to be a warrior from that first day. He entered the ranks of the Royal Guard at twenty three (equivalent of about eight years) he finished his training at thirty-nine and entered the Officer Training Academy.
At forty-five years of age he was sent to a Fenren colony to deal with a rebellion. When he arrived he found there to be no rebellion only a trap laid by a personal enemy who was jealous of the relationship of Fang and Winter Moon. Fang was the only survivor of the planets total destruction which he was accused. He was ‘persuaded’ to take an early retirement and voluntary exile to avoid charges of murder and genocide. He is now a mercenary.
Species Description The Fenren species is a shape-shifting race that is both bipedal and Quadrapedal . In Bipedal form Fenrens resemble humans except for large canine like ears and a tail. Their bodies are largely hairless in this form, except for their ears and tails. Coloration varies, though browns and reds are more common than blacks or whites. Markings also vary. If you can imagine a dog or wolf a Fenren exists that looks like that.
Males: Larger than the females, mature males have a a patch of fur on their chests. They typically stand at about 6 feet in height and weigh about 180-250 pounds. Males are stronger and more aggressive than females (mostly) however they are typically kept low in the ranks as they tend to be impulsive and unpredictable.
Females: Smaller and faster than males, females are known for their calm and collected mannerisms. Females tend to be about 5 feet in height and weigh in at 100-150 pounds. Female features tend to be more vulpine than canine. Females make up the majority of officers in the Fenren military, Fenrens are ruled by a female queen, although in times of war the queen’s consort is often put in charge of military actions.
Young and breeding rituals: When young Fenrens tend to have little control over their shape-shifting, and transmit telepathically without intending to. Young are protected fiercely their mothers, never letting them out of their sight.
Sexual maturity is reached at about 30 years of age. Most Fenrens mate for life however informal pairings are common among warriors. Males are protective of their mates and get extremely jealous when other males show favor to their chosen mate.
Formal pairings are made by a Fenren Cleric, or by a superior officer. Breaking off a formal pairing while their mate still lives is a huge insult to the one who is being ‘divorced’. If a female breaks off a ‘marriage’ the male is usually exiled to prevent violence. The same is true when the female is one being ‘divorced’. Mating with another while in a formal pairing is a huge taboo. A amle caught with a female other than his bonded mate is castrated and exiled. Females who cheat on their spouse are sent to ‘farms’ where they are kept away from male until she has been ‘reeducated’ .
