A Not So Day Off.
« on: June 24, 2011, 01:14:23 am »
Rhys closed his eyes and ground the side of his fist into his forehead. All this remembering stuff was hard, which was why he was gliding through the hallway in his civvies which was a pair of sweatpants and a wifebeater. Both were crisp and clean, the whites were white and the greys were grey. If Rhys was anything, he was a clean boy. It was a rest day, which meant his hair was wet from the shower he took after working the only weapon he had. His body.

He felt... More calm, than usual. Maybe a side effect from those pills his mentor gave him. Nice-ness makers. He snorted to himself and pushed a hand through his hair. He was too big and scary for people to mock the pink and teal lines that ran over his body, at least he liked to think so. His datapad was under his arm and he moeseyed his way to the rec room, there was always something nice about the buzz of chatter when he was trying to study and understand. The silence of the Library just made him want to scream and make noise.

It took longer than normal for him to get there, but once he did he'd sat himself down on the side of a couch and stared at the datapad. If he could read through this he'd be able to focus better and remember more visions, which would keep him from being scientist-meat. It was a win win for everyone.

To anyone else in the recroom, Rhys just looked like a very confused young man who was frowning deeply at the holographic device between his hands. Sure he could read it, understanding it was an entirely different matter.

Cain looked over at the boy on the couch . He looked either pissed off or confused, and wasn't wearing his uniform. That was odd, as they were suppose to wear them. He put down the paddle and ping pong ball, and walked over to him.

His black tail swished behind him lazily and his ears were up in a way to suggest he was curious about Rhys. He didn't have friends really, although he had spent time talking to Eli and  Vaughan recently. Acquaints, but at least he was trying right?

" Whats up?"  he asked.

Rhys looked at the boy and then waved the pad back and forth to indicate it.

"There are words on it but I don't know most of them and I don't have a dictionary." He chuckled and looked back down at it. Rhys looked down at himself, out of uniform, and then smiled at the boy. "I'm Rhys. Who'er you?"
