Today was the day...the day the big man discovered whether or not he was a father. Gregor had woken up with a feeling that he hadn't felt since the war, a kind of nervous excitement as he tried to anticipate just how the day was going to turn out. Many times, Gregor found himself tempted to peek at the results - it would be easy, with him having clearance - but he forced himself to have some restraint. It either would be - and he strongly suspected it was, considering her resemblance to his old flame - or it wouldn't be. And if it wasn't, they could walk away, no worse for wear, other than a smidge of embarrassment from the Pilot Chat.
He supposed he was anxious. It had been a long time since he had looked forward to anything. Or even had anything to look forward to, for that matter. And this, now? It was big. He didn't have high hopes that they would turn into some sort of family, especially considering the sort of relationship she had with Grisham, but then, at least, they'd know. He'd already told himself he wouldn't try to move in and shove Grish aside, as the Hellion Squad Commander was someone Gregor respected highly and worked with on a fairly regular basis. There was no reason to mess up a good thing, regardless of the people involved.
And so, he made his leisurely way to the genealogy center, his steps measured, moving neither with excitement or hesitance as he opened the door to the office and stepped inside. He signed in at the receptionists window, a full six minutes early for the appointment, and a quick glance upward showed him Sparrow's name scrawled a single space above his. She was already here, it seemed - he hasn't bothered to look and see if she was already sitting in the lobby. As soon as he finished, moving to take his seat, he saw her, though. Her, and her big ball of fluff that had seemed to become the Hellion mascot in record time.
He moved to take a seat across the way from her and a couple spaces to one side, propping one heavy booted foot up on his knee as he pulled out his com and set it on his thigh. He glanced to her with a small smile, and regarded Pixie with a similar look.
"Good morning," he said quietly, not wanting to disturb the quiet in the office overly much. "How was your trip? Not too rough, I hope?"
