Since Cyrus had offered, Temple took him up on it. He grabbed a fork, sat next to Cyrus, and plucked a bite right off his plate. "Back out into the subterrain tomorrow?"
They'd both of them had to take a leave of absence from their duties on account of their...situation.

"I ate while you slept off your hangover," he said, but Temple didn't go far. He shut the laptop down, then joined Cyrus at the table with his own cup of coffee. Not black. He took his full of sugar and milk.

"Coming right up, then."
Temple couldn't make a lot, and he couldn't make anything fancy, but he was decent at the basic things he knew, so what Cyrus ended up with was a plate of serviceable breakfast food, but a whole lot of it.
"Enjoy," Temple said, and just to see if things really were different he gave Cyrus's shoulder a squeeze and let his hand trail off down the man's arm as he walked away.

"That's the idea," he said. Now that he knew this, them, was in the realm of possibility, doing things for Cyrus gratified him in a whole new way.

"Just ordering some clothes," he said, and left it at that. Oh, he'd tell Cyrus what he ordered if the guy asked. But if he didn't ask then Temple was prepared to go ahead and let it be a surprise.

Temple was up way before Cyrus, having actually not drank much at all at the club.
He made food for himself and made sure to keep some coffee hot for whenever Cyrus decided to rouse. Other than that, he spent his time ordering a few clothes online. Nothing fancy or expensive, just y'know...some skirts he thought Cyrus might like to see him in.

And as before, he encouraged Cyrus toward his bedroom via a hand on his back.
After so long in the handcuffs, it felt off not follow him in there and get into bed beside him.

It was a good thing Cyrus couldn't see Temple's smirk. Might have ruined the moment.
He kneaded Cyrus's shoulders, enjoying the feel of Cyrus's body beneath his moving hands. "I am a bit on the feminine side."

Temple was about to get exasperated, but he had to remind himself that Cyrus was hungover and aching and anxious. So maybe reassurance instead of snark, just this once.
"You weren't," he said, hands dipping downward to massage the base of Cyrus's skull. "It was hard to tell you no."

Which didn't change that Temple had done the right thing in refusing him. Nearly-falling-over-drunk wasn't any better than blackout drunk to Temple's mind. But he let Cyrus have this one.
"Fine," he said, fingertips kneading Cyrus's head. "You knew what you were doing."

Temple scoffed. His hands returned to Cyrus's head and he took up massaging him again.
"I'm not sure I believe you. You couldn't even stand up straight without swaying back and forth."

Yeah...yeah that had happened. Trouble was, Cyrus had no way of knowing just how badly Temple wanted those things.
"But I liked it!" He gave Cyrus's shoulder a shake, trying to draw him out from shrinking into himself more. "I wanted you to kiss me and I wanted to keep going. I only stopped because you were too drunk to realize what you were doing."

Temple's insides performed an unpleasant sinking sensation at hearing the guilt in Cyrus's voice.
"You didn't!" He hands left Cyrus's head as he sought the man's eyes. "Don't worry about that, you didn't try to force yourself on me at all. You made a pass at me, that's it."
Gods, Cyrus was remembering a very different interaction than Temple was.
