Physical Description Ethel is very petite with fair, pretty features. She has large very dark brown eyes, high cheekbones, pale skin with a smattering of freckles from cheekbone to cheekbone, and a rosy mouth. Her hair is dark brown and short, worn in a mild right-parted pompadour style. She has a proportional amount of curve to her body. When not actively pulling an expression, she appears like a pretty, harmless young lady.

She has a very distinct style when it comes to clothing-- black cotton trousers, shiny black boots with white spats, a white blouse with a black waistcoat, a black bowtie, a suit jacket with horizontal black and white stripes, black leather gloves and occasionally large old fashioned circular sunglasses and a top hat. When the mood strikes her, she paints her lips a deep seductive red and her eyelids with smoky grey. She also wears a gold chain with a gold swan pendant that can only be seen when her shirts are unbuttoned-- its eye is a diamond, its body made of narrow oval sapphires as feathers. Sometimes she carries a black, silver-topped cane for dramatic effect.

Her most noticeable alien features are her sharklike teeth and the way her eye sockets flush a mottled red-black when she is angered. It would be easy to miss that she wasn't entirely human.

Her most common expressions are a smirk, a lopsided smile, a raised eyebrow, and a devilish grin with mischievously lowered brows. She generally has a very confident, wide stance and walks with a swagger.

Personality Ethel-- usually known as 'Haute'-- is ridiculously cocky in almost any situation. She knows that she's clever-- a genius, even-- and she knows that she's good looking, and she knows that she has abilities that give her huge advantages over average humans. Her self-confidence is through the roof, and she is greatly narcissistic. Her own goals are first and foremost before all other concerns in her life, and her friend are often entirely dispensable.

Haute has a deep love for the dramatic, and will indulge in pomp and bravado whenever she feels it is called for. She also often uses dramatic speeches and displays as a way to distract and bide time as her plans unfold, like a street magician drawing eyes away from the actual trick until they're ready for their big reveal.

Haute also has no qualms about injuring, killing, threatening or torturing to get her way. She doesn't usually need to interrogate, instead diving into the minds of others and turning them inside out to find what she needs, but occasionally other methods are required.
