Trader Phi's

Summary:

Located in the forsaken wasteland that was once a part of the great Aedolian empire known as Ipollius lies all manner of hollow homes, husks of businesses and empty shells of vehicles, now all stripped bare and claimed by the Wastelanders that dare to settle in one place for more than a single night.

In the midst of it all lies what could almost be mistaken as a bomb shelter: Trader Phi's.

One of the only known outposts for many miles until one gets to Teinar, Trader Phi's was built and is owned by a seemingly sentient droid known as Phi. Former servant to a Pilot Royal now MIA, Phi has taken it upon himself to provide for the people of the wastes using his connections and strength to bring in the extra buck and mostly endless entertainment.

Make no mistake, Phi does not run this establishment out of good will, nor does he solely for the sake of capitalising on others' misfortune: he does it for the lulz.

Phi makes sure to do regular maintenance on his establishment, and at this point he's become vital and been around  long enough that most settlers and Wastelanders know not to waste their time trying to fuck with him.

Security:

The walls are several feet thick, built with a mixture of rebar, stone masonry and repurposed sheets of metal, and as a result is not easily damaged or broken into. The windows are several panels of reinforced glass thick, with metal shutters ready to close against gunfire at a moment's notice. Meanwhile the outside of the building is shielded on all sides by chevaux de frise, with only a narrow beaten path leading to the front (and only) door as a means of entering and exiting.

The interior is similarly battle-ready, with one half of the storefront occupied by all manner of recycled thing turned chair or table, and the other half obstructed from view behind the counter. The counter is all stone and not about to go anywhere soon, and above its surface from wall to wall is a sturdy line of iron bars to keep grabby hands from getting too far. All the important merchandise is kept behind the counter, and you need to ask for it to get it. The only thing out on display are piles of fabric and racks of clothing, some of which still has bloodstains from previous owners, for folks to take and hold up for size comparisons.

Goods:

Phi's merchandise varies due to the inconsistent nature of the wastes as well as product availability in Aedolis itself. He ventures away from Ipollius bi-weekly to stock up on goods, and visits Aedolis once a month.

On any given day he typically carries the following:

-salted and dried meats
-canned food
-bullets
-maybe some basic weapons
-clothing
-fabric
-first aid supplies
-purified water
-gasmasks
-hardy seeds
-salvage parts
-scrap metal
-hygiene
-tools
-radios

He doesn't take special orders, and there are no refunds.
