Muddy or Not Here We Come! [Zero]

Getting swept up in the moment was starting to become a serious habit and Jain wasn't sure if she was too keen on it or not. The Old Jain, the one who shied away from the world, who went to work and then straight home to her room again certainly wasn't one for fun. Then there was Cabe and Jesse who dragged her into their antics and she tolerated it. Cabe taught her it was alright to be afraid and that she wasn't alone. Jesse's departure taught her life was too short to live like a nun. Orphen taught her to trust in someone more than herself. Then along came Ren who taught her the biggest lesson of all. He taught her that she was worth something and that she owed it to herself to do what she wanted to nurture that inner spark of hers.

Maybe that was why at the drop of a hat, she'd called in vacation days, sent a hasty text to Orphen, and hopped the rail to Ryun to go play in the sun with her friends. The Old Jain never would have been so spontaneous. The Old Jain had a bucket of sick leave and vacation days to use up too. Until Ren, she'd never missed a day of work for anything, not even when jobs went south and she got hurt or it felt like walls were caving in and she just didn't care anymore.

The New Jain, the Jain of today though was so very different. It was likely for this reason that she was standing ankle deep in warm, wet, sticky mud in a bathing suit that basically consisted of a pair of very short pair of short shorts and a tight sports bra. The elastic band itched in the centre of her back and it took all her effort to not uncross her arms and fix it.

Old Jain and New Jain aside, she still regretted bringing up wearing a bikini. While her outfit technically counted as one, she would have preferred to be more fully clothed in her rematch against the cheating Raven Commander, Keiko Zomu. She was still riding her high of salt and vinegar though, so most of her thoughts were trained on ways to beat the other woman at her own game.

Jain took in the form before her that was not all that different from her own. They were both slim women with dark skin and on the much shorter scale of things in the realm of Aedolian giants. The Pilot cast a glance towards a pair of goofball giants that she found herself loving so deeply and dearly. There was Cabe cheering her on and Ren with a dangerously mischievous look in his eyes. She scowled back in return, although the crinkle of her nose and tiny upturn of her lips completely negated any venom in that look.

With a deep sigh and a determined setting of her jaw, she nodded to the other woman. "Are there any rules for this or no holds barred so you can't be accused of cheating again?"
