Let the Words Fly (Moonie!)

Keithen walks through a crowd towards a bar counter with a empty pint mug. He sets it on the counter and whistles to the bar tender who looks up at him, "One of your best please." Keithen asks with a smile. He has just arrived at Synesthesia after a long day on the job and brought his own mug as well. It was pretty late in the evening when he got off work and all he wanted was to go to everyone's favourite place to drink and well drink and socialize a tiny bit. It really didn't take much for him to get talking. Like one and a half pints of drink was usually enough for him to get a bit tipsy. He didn't give a shit he was here to have a good time!

After drinking his first pint in a dew minutes he asked for one of their most complex drinks with a bit of water, "Right away sir." The bar tender responded and went to work with Keith's order. Keith watched the lights reflect off the glasses of mugs, wine glasses and other shiney surfaces. Ever since he got his glasses he could never get over how colorful the world was compared to the darkness he lives in for the first eighteen years of his life. The colors never got old to him as did everything else he was able to see now. He looked at the dance floor watching people dance while waiting for his order. It being a complex drink would take a moment so he took out his phone and checked the Pilot Chat very quickly before putting it away. He had made plans to meet with Alec earlier here in Synesthesia to hang out and spend the evening drinking and chatting but as far as he could tell Alec didn't arrive yet he didn't know for sure with so many people. Oh well they'd find eachother somehow.

The bar tender put down a glass of water for him not wanting to keep the Pilot waiting on one of his orders and went back to the other drink. Keithen picked up the water and began drinking it while still look around enjoying the place.

No work tomorrow meant that Alec could do whatever the hell he wanted tonight. What better way to spend a free day than hung over to the third degree? For that he had to do some serious drinking tonight. Well, not really. He'd never had a super high tolerance to alcohol. Which was good, because that meant he didn't have to spend tons of money on booze. A handful of shots would get him plastered just enough to accomplish his goals.

Drinking alone was just depressing, though. Had to drag somebody down with him for the night, because it was hard to say if he would even be able to make it home by himself. Always better to have someone to help keep an eye on him and cut him off if necessary.

Tonight as he strolled into Synesthesia, what a fucking name, Alec made a beeline for the bar. It was the most likely place to find his designated drinking buddy for the night. They'd made the arrangements on the Pilot Chat to meet up. Was he late? There was a decent chance he was definitely late. Ah well, he'd had to run up to his apartment to shower, change, and pretty himself up. You didn't go out to the hottest club without making yourself look good.

Who knew who he'd run into here? Wouldn't do to blow a chance at a smoldering hook-up.

It wasn't hard to spot Keith at the bar, hard to miss him. How many Pilots even wore glasses? Alec was pretty sure it wasn't very many. Honestly, glasses could be very sexy in that 'hot nerd/dork' kind of way.

He slid his way over, maneuvering around all the hot, scantily clad flesh that was in his way. Tapping lightly on the bar to get the attention of the tender he flashed a smile. "I'd like a Red-Headed Slut, please~" He turned towards Keith as he waited for his shot to be mixed. "Sorry if I kept you waiting."

Keithen was so lost in the colors and the music he didn't realize that Alec was walking up and jumps a bit when he taps the counter. The sudden vibrations and sound spooked him a bit that's all. Once he realizes it was Alec he calmed down. Having heightened senses made a few good jumo scares at times.

Once he had got the tenders attention and ordered himself a drink then apologizing on keeping Keithen waiting Keith smiles looking at Alec, "It's cool."

Alec has gone an extra mile or so to make himself look nice for this club. Which was perfectly fine and understandable particularly for such a big place for everyone to go to and relax and pass the time.  "You ready to have a great drinking night?" Keith laughs and after a moment their orders arrive, the bar tender putting their drinks in front of each of them. Keith finishes up his water. He was definitely looking forward to this, it'll be interesting indeed. He takes his mug and swirls it feeling the way the drink moved around the mug before making a cheering motion with it. The poor bar tender probably won't know what hit him at the end of this.

"I am ready to have the best drinking night!" If Alec had noticed the way Keith had jumped, he didn't comment or show it. Instead he quickly picked up his shot when it arrived, grinning as he mimicked the cheer before knocking it back quickly. How else did you partake in shots? He set the glass upside down on the counter and grimaced slightly. "Woooo, the first one always burns a bit. But in such a good way. Bartender, keep those coming."

People probably didn't realize just how stressful Alec's job was, listening to everyone else's problems day in and day out, wrestling with their emotions while not allowing his own to bubble up out of control. It was a job he loved, but it was exhausting. Tonight was going to be about blowing off a whole lot of steam.

"So after I get another shot, you want to dance?" Alec asked, glancing out at all the people dancing to the very lively music. The mass of writhing bodies would have been intimidating on another night, but his throat and stomach already tingled as the second shot was placed in front of him and he knew his brain would be fuzzy within another few minutes. He picked up the second shot and quickly threw it back, plopping the second glass down next to the first. "Oh yeah, that hits the spot."

Keithen drinks the pint of drink he got after Alec cheered also. It was a bit weird tasting fruity, with a but of chocolate taste and some bitterness of a beer. It was a nice combo. He is gonna have to get more of this! He finished it up when Alec finishes his first shot, listening and nodding in agreement.

Pints were sort of a mouth full for him, it wasnt the best for his stomach either to drink one pint so fast, "Bartender I'd take some more combos but make them smaller then a pint. Surprise me." The bartender acknoledges the request and starts making a vaiety of sizes of drinks, setting one down and Keith sets to work. He liked sampling every bartenders drinks, see what he liked and what he didnt.

When Alec asks if he wanted to dance after his second shot he was nearly done with the drink, finishing the rest of the glass up, "Sure! Lets dance!" Keithen would have been a bit worried if he was a tad bit more uptight tonight but this was a night for fun. Not for worrying about his glasses and everything else. He picks up a new drink, this time a bottle of beer, and pops the cap off of it starting to drink it. Maybe another few drinks would make him tipsy, it really depended on what the tender made him. Oh well he would find out soon enough! He gets up itching to dance for once in his life with a happy and chilled expression. Maybe he was already a bit tipsy afterall.

"That's the spirit!" Alec cheered as he grabbed Keithen's hand, tugging gently as he headed for the dance floor. He was not an awesome dancer with amazing skills or moves, and without a little liquid courage probably wouldn't have been capable of being dragged onto the dance floor himself. Being good didn't matter when you were tipsy!

As soon as they were in the dancing mix, Alec let go of Keith's hand so he could throw his hands in the air and start swaying to the beat. Of course the music was always upbeat and fast, so it was probably closer to flopping around than swaying necessarily.

Keithen hears Alec yell, "That's the spirit!" And grab his hand which surprised him about and begins to drag him to the dance floor. Keithen laughs and barely manages to put his bottle of beer back on the counter thinking pretty slowly, "Gonna come back for you later, my little bottle friend. Probably." Yeah that was probably a silent lie, he'd forget about it pretty soon.

Whenever Alec let go of Keith's hand and started dancing to the music, Keith started to as well, keeping with the rhythm of the music (just barely). He was an okay dancer, probably good enough to get by a round or two of a dance contest but that's it. He'd leave that for the professionals. But he managed to not look like a fish out of water. Just barely.

The music was okay but the vibrations were kind of throwing him off and the drinks also. So if he trips it'll be okay the other dancers would think he just had to much to drink. So he just let loose.

It was easy to let go of things. Stop worrying and just absorb himself in the music. The beginnings of a tingling buzz coursing through him. Alec had really needed a night like this, and was just glad he could find someone to go along with it. He wasn't sure if he might have chickened out on dancing if left alone to his own devices.

Having another Pilot along helped.

Especially a very cute one that was willing to drink and dance with him. The floor was crowded and bodies were bumped and pressed together constantly. For the most part it was just fine. He found himself dancing with people practically gyrating against him.

This was fun. Very fun. The people bumping into eschother, very happy and having a blast as well. The smell of some of the alcohol also lingered in the air but is quickly vanished with someone waving their arms, wooshing it away. A few times he was almost knocked down but he didn't let that happen. No one wanted a dominos of people falling over. But otherwise he was having a blast.

Alec seemed so also which was good. The alcohol was also still taking an effect on him as well, slowly and surely making him more typsy by the second. Eventually it'll stop but remain in his system for a pretty long while. However eventually he got sucked in by the crowd, oh well, he begin to slowly make his way back but got lost in the crowd. Then and there Keith was happy he had his glasses, he would probably be on the other side of Havitah if the whole city was like this. To him it was sort of like a water bed now. He was still having s good time atleast.

Alec was having a good time. It was easy to lose track of time as he danced. Had he been there for a few minutes or much longer? He wasn't really sure. It was also a mystery where Keith had disappeared to. They had been dancing near each other just a second ago, hadn't they?

He was pretty sure they had been.

Stopping his dancing and giving a quick scan of the crowd didn't magically make his friend reappear, so Alec decided to check back at the bar. Maybe Keith had gotten thirsty. Now that he thought about it his mouth felt just a little dry. Seemed like a great time to grab another shot to him! After getting his drink it took him a few moments to remember why he'd come to the bar in the first place.

Oh yeah. Keith.

Well, he wasn't at the bar, so Alec waded into the mass of dancing bodies, weaving in an out as he looked for his misplaced companion. "Keeeeeeeeith."

He didn't even consider that it would be hard to hear him over the music.

Keithen was lost. So lost it seemed like hours had gone by while he enjoyed dancing, eventually his senses couldn't take much more of it and he needed a nice big bottle of more beer. This crowd seemed huge and never ending.

He had to stop dancing/walking to get his barings. He stood there looking around taking off his glasses and rubbing his eyes then putting them back on im hopes that'll help. Then he heard what sounded like a whisper of his name. Be couldn't pin it out though, just a rough general direction

After a minute he finally manages to get through the dance crowd. Glasses - check. Everything was good. He swoops by the bar and grabs another bottle if cold beer, breaking the cap and drinks it. Then goes to look for Alec, "Alec! Where are you dude!" He peeks through the crowd of dancers, taking more drinks of the beer.

Funny thing about big crowds and disorienting music, even sober it would have been hard for Alec to really go through all those dancers. He probably got turned around four or five times, ending up squashed between the same people over and over again.

Getting nowhere, Alec tried to untangle himself from the dance floor, which proved to be a feat in and of itself. Wait, wait, he definitely heard his name. Ah! There Keith was, with beer. Perfect!

So perfect, that when he finally did break away from the dancers he stumbled right over his own feet and crashed into Keith. He threw his arms around the shorter man, clinging to him as he very nearly dropped to the floor completely. A giddy giggle came from Alec as he just kinda managed to halt any upwards or downwards momentum, just...leaning and hanging off Keith.

"There you aaaaaaaaare. I lost you, and then I went to the bar, but you weren't theeeeeeere. But now you're here!" In his tingly brain that sounded like a great story.

Keithen by now was pretty drunk, a pint of a fruity drink, then a glass, then almost two or three bottles of beer. He got slammed with the alcohol truck. Welp there goes the clear mind.

And then someone throw his arms around him and basically leaned saying things drunkenly. The force was almost enough to send him tumbling but he just barely caught himself, yeah it was Alec. "Here i am!" Keithen laughs. "You know what?" Keithen finishes off the bottle, "fuck I forgot."

He smiles and begin to walk to the har, "Want one more drink. Or two? Or three?" His speach was slurred and he definetly wasn't thinking to straight.

"Oh yessssss." Alec laughed in response. After all, if a few shots were this good, then obviously more was much better! Just getting to the bar was an adventure. He had somehow managed to drape himself over Keithen, just kind of cuddling against him as they tried to walk. It was amazing they were even able to stay on their feet!

Thankfully for Keith, Alec released his hold on him, opting to slump a little onto the bar instead. "Mmmm, another slut-headed red please!"

The tender looked at him a little sideways, since he had managed to mix his words up and could barely stand with the help of the bar. Making a decision he shook his head with a laugh. "Call a cab and go home, while you can still crawl into the backseat."

Keith struggled a but when he arrived at the counter, the dead weight if another Pilot who was drunk as well added to the slight but fun problem.

When they reached the bar and Alec ordered anothed drink and the bar tender shook his head and said no and to go home Keith shrugs and finishes up a bit more if the beer before picking Alec back up like he was and walking out the door offering him the beer, "Hope yo like bear." He giggles stumbling a bit out the door.

Tipsy Keithen definitely didn't give a fuck about much at this point. He was sure deep down they were gonna pass out somewhere. If not pretty soon.

Alec was going to have regrets in the morning, but at least Keithen was kind enough to put up with his drunkenness. If not for the other Pilot Alec would have probably had to crawl out of the club. Instead he wrapped his arms around the shorter man and allowed himself to be half carried out the door.

"Beer is gooood." Any alcohol was good by this point. He took the bottle and sipped it, giggling and stumbling over his feet again. This time he really was like a lead weight knocking into poor Keith.

Alec ended up on the sidewalk, giggling and unharmed, just really, really drunk. Somehow the bottle had also survived the fall. He took another drink from it, but it was really mostly empty at this point. "Aaaaand, Pilot dooooown. Lesh go home."

Keithen laughs loudly at Alec's response to the beer he handed him. Then there was suddenly a heavy feeling of someone as though they were dead weight, knocking him over onto his knees.

He turns around seeing Alec giggling with a some how unbroken bottle of beer. When he said something about Pilot down and going home Keithen just lost it. He starts to laugh even more holding his stomach.

Eventually he gets his bearings and stumbles over to Alec and picks him up and starts to head back home, "I don't know which of our.... hoomes.. you mean.. so juuuusr goonnna.... wing it!" Yeah that is what he was going to do, Wing it! Nothing could possibly go wrong!
