The Lopsided Fight/A Difference of a Opinion [Ailill or OPEN]
« on: November 10, 2016, 10:07:22 pm »
Agidyne held the practice glaive in a low ready grip with the blade pointed down. Sighing inwardly as the other Pilots and Candidates circled him. Having his mind locked down tighter than a Royal's marriage, he kept his blue gaze down . 'There will always be problems in my life.' Agidyne thought, sliding his left leg back. Paralleling the glaive to his leg he braced for what was coming. Hearing them getting ready, Agidyne took a steadying breath and narrowed his gaze on the biggest one in the circle. "Y'all made a mistake well you choose me to face. While I might lose, I'm taking most of you with me." he states neutrally.

Then the fight began with Agidyne taking the first swing. Falling into the combative autopilot that he was partially known for, he worked through the group gradually. His blows at full strength and not held back, using the glaive to block several sword swings. He saw his blood drip off his hand. Swinging his weapon to clear some room Agidyne leapt out of the circle and slid to a stop. Drawing in several quick breaths, he glanced over and saw several Pilot Royals watching the lopsided fight he was in. 'Probably enjoying this fight.' he mused before being dogpiled again.

As the fight drew on, Agidyne felt more and more blow whittle down his guard. A blow from a training mace launched him off his feet. Flying back several feet he caught himself the glaive's but. Using the change of directional vector to swing back into the fray, Agidyne twirled like hell bent dervish striking out on anyone unlucky to land in his path.

After some unknown length of time, the last Candidate finally bowed out of the fight. Through Agidyne thought the man's two broken ribs may had convinced him to stop also. But he wouldn't know as his own injuries, deep bruises and light sprains, signaled their presence. "All this because a difference of opinions. Should've seen that coming." he said to himself. Placing the glaive in it's place he paused his trek to look at Pilot Royals again. "Pilot Royals, did you enjoy the entertainment this afternoon?" Agidyne inquired, instantly burying his pain to hide it from them. 'No one needs to know how I feel.' he mused, his body adopting a parade rest stance. He's go to stance when dealing with those above him in rank.

Pilot Royal Cameron Matthers had only caught the end of this disgusting 'brawl' for lack of a better term, and the first thing the Ministry Director did was start writing down names. She prided herself on knowing the names and faces of each and every Pilot Aedolis produced, the Candidates she found the names of by going into their minds. It was not a difficult task, and the Candidates were probably all unaware she had even pulled the information from them. She was glad to see that none of her children were involved in this matter.

She hummed softly as she approached the other Royals who had merely been watching. "I suggest you alert our doctors post haste of the situation and get Pilot Cnyte to medical immediately as well as any other injured Pilots. Do not bother with the now former Candidates as they have been immediately TRIMed. And Pilot Royals... Excuse me Pilot Nobles, I am just updating your rank effective of your immediate demotion along with that of everyone involved in that... Display. Please expect to hear from the Inquisitor's office shortly in reference to your court marshals. Now if you will excuse me."

She had of course called for the medics herself, she obviously could not expect these Pilots to do something as simple as their jobs. She walked down the hall as other Pilots arrived on the scene, some from Candidate Affairs, some form the Inquiry, others obviously just ready to assist. Someone must have alerted them when the fight began for them to be here so quickly.

One of the inquiry officers stopped when they saw Cameron. Simone had not been expecting to see her adopted mother at the ATC, especially given the call they received. "Pilot Royal Cameron Matthers." Sim said saluting their own mother.

"Simone, I am glad you are here, if it does not conflict with your current orders I would appreciate you dealing with Pilot Cardinal Agidyne Cnyte yourself. I would like to know the cause of this brawl for the court marshalling." Cameron said with a small kind seeming smile.

"Yes of course." Simone nodded, noting the 'Pilot Cardinal bit', before heading off to find the main person of interest in this whole mess.

Pilot on Pilot violence and crime was taken extremely seriously. No one involved would get off easy.

Cameron on the other hand headed off to find Ailill, the entire reason she had come to the ATC in the first place, now with a new purpose.

Simone reached the area where the fight had taken place, some of the Pilots involved and all of the Candidates were already being detained by a mix of Inquiry officers and Candidate Affairs personnel... Simone noted that Pilot Cardinal Rheeves, a Seeker, was also there assisting. Odd. The Seeker Office would not have been called in for this. Still it was of little concern at the moment and Simone needed to shutout the psychic static and focus on the Pilot she approached. Agidyne Cnyte.

"You will be transported to medical shortly and we will discuss the cause of this incident on the way, understood?" She said looking at the other Pilot.

"Respectfully ma'am, I don't need medical, they're just light sprains and some deep bruises. Injures I have dealt with before and can work on later. So can we get to get to the discussion over with sir. Since I know I'm already in trouble to start with." he said neutrally. Picking a spot just over the other's shoulder, Agidyne focused on it to help take his mind off the pain. Taking calming breaths, he kept his mind empty and his feelings leashed. 'Trouble always follows me, no matter the location.' he thought dully. Memories of his past played in the rear of his mind like a slow ticker tape.

His step father's beatings probably lead into his barrier he used to keep everyone at arms' length. He recalled others telling that his loner tendencies would come back to bite him one day. Which he knew already and accepted, once he started his Pilot training. 'I am somewhat broken and lonely. Maybe they had a partially good reason for coming at me the way they did. But they probably should have it done in private and not in the ATC.' he mused.

Thinking out loud was never a good idea around Simone Matthers. Most Pilots knew it was in bad form. Most Pilots were nervous around her. Most Pilots would never dare to call her 'ma'am'. At least Agidnye corrected himself.

"That is not your decision or call Pilot Cardinal. Now what started this incident. Please remember that I will later confirm the information directly so lying is ill advised." 'Directly' meant going into the other Pilot's mind.

How had this Pilot avoided being TRIMed during candidacy? It seemed so unlikely. But somehow he had graduated and even been promoted once, well now demoted back to Cardinal...

Simone looked at her communicator as a message came through. "So You are aware, you are being court marshalled, and have been demoted to Pilot Cardinal as well as suspension and network lock out of a undetermined length. I am sure your Dragon will have more than a few words for you as well. If they contact you via telepathy please alert me, however mine will also let me know so once again, lying is ill advised."

Agidyne just nods, he figured it might happen when they came at him."Highly doubt it, if it's not mission or training related in someway. We don't talk, ever. Not the usual Pilot/dragon relationship I know, but it was how it worked out." he states, his tone neutral sounding to his ear. A quick check of his telepathic link with his dragon proved his statement correct. No feedback from the dragon whatever so ever, complete and utter static on the other end. Sighing he just glance up and back to the spot he picked.

Was this Pilot actually that dense? "I do not mean for a social call or even to ask if you are ok, I mean your Dragon will surely be contacting you regarding your punishment and about your involvement in what just happened." Simone stayed even toned but even he was having trouble not getting annoyed by this Pilot. Sim had never heard anything bad per say about Pilot Cnyte but really she didn't recall hearing much at all. He had never been called in for inquiry or anything so how had something like this errupted with no warning?

"You have also failed to answer my question. What started this incident? Also... Where did you get a glaive from?" A Pilot fighting with a glaive? That was more than its fair share of odd on its own. Why didn't he just use psionics or a gun? What was this? Ancient Adela?

"Apparently they heard about my indifferent outlook on being a Pilot, which I see as just a job and nothing more, and decided to strongly disagree with it. Plus they don't consider me a real Pilot for several reasons that goes back to the begining of my training. But I sorta saw it coming, so I accept that. I don't hold against them, don't consider myself that egoistical to judge them. Not my place to anyway, others can happily do that on their own." he replied. Looking towards the glaive, Agidyne recalls watching Hamakaze practicing with it for hours. "The glaive was my step sister's, brought it with me after she vanished and my family situation erupted in a spectacularly massive clusterfuck. And if you are wondering I wasn't using any psionics or a gun, it was not to be tempted to kill any of them. They were just stating their opinion. No need to kill anyone for using their given right to disagree." he added truthfully.

Closing his eyes in a preemptive measure, he buried the pain so far under a wall that he barely noticed it. But he knew that it would come back to haunt him, it always did. Which is why he wanted to be clear of everybody before it happened. No one needed to see him in his burst of anger/sadness fueled tears. It was his burden to shoulder, and Agidyne choose to do it alone. His demons never affected his mission performance in any noticeable way, just his social and personal outlook. He figured no one could or would understand him in any meaningful way that would be beneficial towards him to start with.

How did this Pilot graduate Candidacy in the first place? "Just a job? You do realize you are a Pilot don't you? You are elite military and you will be till you die. If you no longer wish to be a Pilot you have a few options but they all end the same way. However this incident will not be taken lightly."

Moreover... how had Pilot Cnyte not been suspected of being a Gospel before now? How had he not ended up in Inquiry before?

Simone was more than frustrated with this guy and both dreading and looking forward to delving into Cnyte's mind. The doctor's came over to Simone and she nodded to them before looking at the other Pilot. "Your answers are unsatisfactory, after you are checked medically you will be escorted to the lead rooms for inquisition."

After medical cleared him, Agidyne sat in a room hooked to monitors that showed his complete life story in all it's glory. His relative happy childhood, the deep near soul crushing anger and sadness of losing his mother and step-sister, his emotionally numb stint in a state ran orphanage, and the detached anger filled time as a Pilot. Hearing the memories play back, he focused on the central monitor that flashed the Inquistors' questions. The answers they sought appeared with associated memory. Though the ones about Gospel made him want to scratch his head. While he may be a Pilot and may have read something in passing at Gospel, but he didn't know anything about the group. Mainly because he was deep into a joint manhunt for a certified psychopath on Edanith's frontier.

The senior Inquistor stared at the other Inquistors nursing intense migraines from just being near the seated Pilot. 'How does he keep it together with that emotional baggage in his head. "If was up to me, I'd give him back his rank keep him on missions to distract him from his past." he mumbled under his breath. While rubbing his temple in an attempt to alleviate his own migraine.
