Physical Description
Simone has short dark purple hair in a reverse bob style their skin has an olive complexion. Sim's body is female but they don't feel feminine, even if they do appear quite feminine by traditional standards. His eyes are black and quite large, accented by a rounded face with soft features.
Prefers to be in uniform and doesn't show much of a personal style other than occasionally doing make up to try and make his face look sharper.
Personality
She tries to be impartial at all times and has no problem not letting her opinion show. Despite her almost clinical stance with most people, especially other Pilots, their kind face makes people feel at ease... Until entrance to another Pilot's mind is demanded.
Simone accepts that her chosen career path makes others nervous around him at times. Despite this they really value fairness and equality, which seems counter intuitive given the nature of her job (and the Aedolian government).
Outside of work Sim is relatively introverted and spends much of their time in the lead rooms enjoying the psychic quiet time. Sim has never been good at making friends due to both her more introverted nature and the nature of her job. While they would like to be more sociable both of those factors often keep everyone else at arms length.
Magic/Abilities
Telepathy- While all Pilots are at least efficient in telepathy this rather mundane ability is Sim's strongest asset. She is very gifted in this regard and has been since she was born.
Telekinesis- Very mild telekinesis, just enough to get by.
Skilled in close range combat and firearms.
Relationships
Pilot Lufti / Chance- Simone actually likes them both and finds it fascinating that they are two separate and distinct personalities co-inhabiting the same mind and body. Sim is usually the one to access their shared mind and is writing a detailed case study on the compartmentalizatio n of their brain. She was the one who came up with the term body-mates to console Chance when asked what he and Lufti were.
Evelyn Lyre- This is the only person's mind they have been ordered to enter that actually terrified them. Simone is still uneasy when it comes to Evelyn.
Her family consists of her father, non birth mother, and mother as well as 5 half siblings and two full siblings and a few step-siblings. She also has a large extended family, basically all of which are military or Pilots and they all get together occasionally. Her father is in the military, as is her birth mother, her non-birth mother is a Pilot and is someone she has always admired and looked up to.
Pilot Royal Cameron Matthers- Her 'Non-birth mother' (her father's and birth mother's wife, yes the three of them are all married to each other and in a relationship) and head of the Matthers family.
Alaine Matthers- Their birth mother, she is an officer in the Aedolian Military and a reflectivist.
Dijaris Matthers- Sim's father, a soldier in the Aedolian Military, he has some strong telekinetic abilities but no telepathy so he was never selected for the candidate program.
History
Simone comes from a family known for being in the military and Pilot program. Their actual name is All but few call them that. The name All came from the story of when she was born... Or even before that technically. From the time she was in her mother's womb she was displaying psychic abilities, a rare phenomenon that her father and non birth mother were very proud of but terrified her birth mother who had never had a psychic child before and was a reflectivist herself... Accept during her pregnancy with All when the fetus not only invaded her mind but seemed to be beaming the thoughts of others into her head as well.
It was a lot for her mother to handle and she had to be hospitalized early on for her safety and the baby's. Simone was on a watch list before birth because of this and when the government asked for a name to call the unborn fetus in their records her dad said "I don't know what to call it at all!"
Depending on who tells the story the minister either misheard her dad or just had no patience and wrote down "All". Another family joke about what ended up becoming Simone's official name is "Well all Matthers are psychic but not all Matthers are Pilots, even though All Matthers is a Pilot." Simone is not usually amused by this.
Her birth mother has never been close with her and mainly ignores Sim or avoids her. After Simone was born their mom had very bad post partum depression and was very traumatized by her pregnancy. Her non-birth mother was the one to really raise her and name her Simone. Her birth mother actually managed to convince herself that Simone isn't her child.
