Personality: The perfect example of all Pilots; distant and brutal deep down. However, due in part to the intense training and the family situation he grew up in, he now completely lacks all emotions except comfort in that Aedolis is the perfect empire. He doesn't let petty emotions cloud his judgment, effectively making him an efficient leader. He always has a smile on his face.
Appearance: All that remains of his former body is his head. The rest of him is covered in metal with nanotechnology coursing through its wires and circuits. Two pairs of sharp metal wings are attached to the back. There are three ports on the back of his head, three on his neck, and three on each of his shoulders, used to connect to the Network and namely the Axis Point. His hair is white and his eyes are an eerie shade of blue.
Background: Born to upper-caste scientists, Jericho was their guinea pig, a test subject for their nanotech experiments. At the tender age of six, his psychic powers surfaced, albeit at a very subtle level. At thirteen years old, he was discovered by the Aedolian military and was about to be taken to the Advanced Training Complex, but the parents were not simply going to let them walk away with their test subject. They used their nanotechnology to fight back. An explosion occurred, killing both parents and leaving Jericho unconscious and paralyzed from the neck down. However, the Pilots saw that the boy could be saved; they used the nanotechnology along with their own military resources to cover Jericho in a newer, more refined body and restore cerebral connection. When he awoke, Jericho announced that he was glad that his parents were dead, and that he would willfully undergo training to become a Pilot. After the grueling physical and psychic training, he became an accomplished Pilot at age twenty, a Pilot Noble at age thirty, and eventually the Pilot Imperial at age forty.
Anything else you'd like to add? Yes. His dragon's name is Ętherzion. His shape is akin to that of a Chinese-style dragon with the head of a modern-era fantasy dragon. He is about thirty feet in length and weighs in at about eighty-two tons. His body, too, is covered in nanotech-rich cybernetic armor. Synthetic hair sprouts from his forehead and reaches about five feet, and two large horns curve forward like a skull dragon's horns. He also has a Chinese-style mustache. Two yellow eyes peer out of the metal mask, as well as a third eye on his forehead.

There are some problems with your dude.

One. Aedolis doesn't search outside Aedolis. (This is fine if you mean the headquarters of Thanatos, Inc. But they don't conduct research there, so... Yes.)

Two. Logically speaking... He'd be dead. I don't think you can survive more than a minute if... you're 3/4s gone.

Three! No one gets taken into Candidate training until they're thirteen.

Four. He wouldn't pass until he was at least 18, no matter how powerful they are or how long they've been there, or when they started (thirteen) they stay until they're 18. Or if they're over 18, they stay for three (or four, I can't remember ) years.

Five. Could you just write Aetherzion? It's more simple, and you still get the same sound as far as I know.

He became Pilot Imperial at age 40 but is now 45? So he's been Pilot Imperial 5 years already?
Couldn't you make it that he only became it recently, and not render a sizeable portion of RotE's history moot?
