Physical Description
Jerek is as scrawny as a pilot can be, and wears a very neatly pressed uniform. He has short, light brown hair which is cut in a crew style. His pale skin and hazel eyes, when coupled with his unnatural and unnerving sneer, give him an easily recognizable, if somewhat menacing, appearance when evaluating someone or something.

Personality
Jerek is quite intelligent, most visible in his complex planning and connections. However, most people in Aedolis are a little too high to see into that, so most know he's smart due to his wry wit and often sarcasm. He loves making puns and playing with the words of others, and has a flair for poetry and theater. He finds sincere interest in aiding others, and has studied medicine to bolster these efforts. However, his favorite thing to analyze and study is people. He adores psychology, often preferring to get information about others that most pilots could only discover through telepathy. His constant analyzing and evaluation of others gets highly annoying, and he always wants the last laugh and the right opinion. He also despises the use of brawn or brute force to achieve goals, often secretly despising pilots who always fall back on that. He gets flustered and frustrated easily, but knows when to let someone else call the shots, especially if Talisman threatens to cut him from The Network, which he is highly addicted to, due to the mass stream of information and knowledge. Overall, while his wry humor and constant psychological analysis is unnerving and bothersome, he certainly can use his persona to great positive effect.

Magic/Abilities
-Jerek wields 4 Psionic Abilities.
1. Telepathy: Jerek is a very weak Telepath, and has a personal vendetta against using it. He often finds more information through psychological probing than telepathic advances.
2. Telekinesis: Jerek is a fairly adept Telekinetic, often wielding it for minor tasks as a compensation for his lack of strength.
3. Cryokinesis: Jerek is also pretty skilled in his Cryokinesis, being able to freeze liquids with higher freezing points. He often neglects this ability for Pyrokinesis in battle, but uses it for the utility it supplies, such as creating ice structures and making paths slippery.
4. Pyrokinesis: Cryokinesis and Pyrokinesis often come packaged two-for-one, and Jerek is no exception. This is Jerek's best skill, and he has learned ways to utilize it which allow him to completely negate the need for physical speed or power.

-Jerek also happens to hold some level of skill in basic weaponry, but often prefers using his Psionic powers.

-Jerek is adequate at communication with his dragon, and the two often work together in combat.

Relationships
Talisman: As Jerek's dragon, Talisman is certainly his closest, and only, friend. Talisman, like Jerek, is fairly young and inexperienced, but both display great wisdom and curiosity. They also love watching plays together. He often assists Jerek in psychological warfare through sheer intimidation.
History
Born in the highest caste of Haviah, Jerek's father was a Pilot. Interestingly, the Father's dragon had a son, who, at the time of Jerek's birth, was without a Pilot. So, not only was Jerek already a prime choice for Pilot training, but he was sort of already somewhat linked to a dragon. Not in any telepathic way, but in terms of parallels and situation.

However, his time at the academy, at least at first, was rough. Jerek hated all physical activity, attempting to bypass it when possible. He was often tormented by bullies who were envious of his pre-connection to a dragon and Pilot. While Stage 1 was difficult, rarely did people who believed in Aedolis as much as Jerek did fail, and he maintained that standard. As Stage 2 was beggining, Jerek was already experimenting with his powers. In a few short weeks, Jerek suddenly was faster and stronger than many of the other candidates, and the bullying stopped. Although momentarily suprised, his instructors realized why: he had been using his powers. Using little bursts of flame, Jerek basically had miniature rockets propelling him, increasing his kinetic force whenever he willed.

With this power connection, Jerek passed Stage 2 and easily went through the last few stages. Unsurprisingly, the dragon's son, Talisman, easily chose Jerek, and they celebrated their new mutual bond by watching a play. Also, they decided to stop by a pop idol's concert, and cement the importance of idols in the culture. Now a team, the two were assigned to a few cases, often those involving literary puzzles or other such interesting patterns. The two are a great duo, and ready to prove their might to the world.
