Rping with the new guy?

Well I just got my first character done (link in my character directory if you're curious), and I've been thinking of some open rps but I usually have trouble making them interesting.

I don't know if this is the place to put this but anyone have any open rp to join? One that wasn't posted months ago and has been inactive since (as I see many of those) is preferred

One of my characters, Kahaku, is an engineer as well - perhaps they happen to meet at some public place and get to talking, or worked a shuttle run together and recognized each other?
