WIP. This is framework and shall be updated throughout the course of roleplay. I also wrote this a little too late at night so uh...expect errors that shall be corrected once I'm feeling more awake.

Nemo, I 'finished ' this as promised but lemme know in pm or skype if something needs to be modified!

_______________QUICK STATS

Name  Bryant Kinley Artair
Age 21
Gender Male
Species Human
Ethnicity Edani
Height 5’8”
Occupation Currently: Colonist-Terraformer & Siorus Local Militia, Soon: Pilot of the Gemini Project
Residence Planet Edanith. Currently , he resides in the small town of Siorus (its population just barely substantial enough to qualify it as a town). Siorus is , mostly, a dust town with a few patches of green and farmland. A neglected ,forgotten and abandoned colony…Siorus no longer receives any funding or protection from the Edani government and has grown accustomed to defending herself from the savage wildlife and criminals that seek to ravage her. Despite being in the midst of a wild and lawless territory, the colonists have learned to unite and create their own sense of order. The town is governed by a Mayor and her council of eleven. Said Mayor and Council are elected(every three years) by the popular vote of the townsfolk.

Physical Description

Natural Body

His appearance is average for an Edani youth. Standing at 5’8” and weighing about 147lbs, he bears a lean and muscularly toned physique that belies the frail mage stereotype. He has broad shoulders , long limbs.

His kindly visage is youthful, round (with a little baby fat in cheeks) and full that ,with the help of his large and expressive cobalt blue eyes, makes him appear quite boyish and innocent.  A short, somewhat dark golden mess of hair rests atop his head with long bangs that hang down just barely clear of his vision.

His complexion is fair and mostly unblemished. He does bear a couple of notable scars , the most prominent of these being some long claw marks that rake across the middle of his lower back.

He carries no weapons. He doesn’t need them, silly! He’s a mage!

Apparel

Typically, he adorns a white and green poncho. The poncho is a long sheet of fabric with a hole in it which is pulled over the head and rests over the shoulders, draping over his torso and falling just below his waist. The poncho possess a hood that may be drawn up over the head to shield himself from the elements. Underneath the poncho he wears a simple loose white shirt tucked into form-fitting blue jeans. It isn’t uncommon to see him sporting a white cowboy hat atop his head. And how could the outfit be complete without a pair of dark earth-colored cowboy boots?

Gemini Armor

WIP. Will be figured out in rp or something. I’m also too lazy to think about this at the moment. Lol… >>;

Personality

Bryant is a simple fellow with a warm and laidback nature. He’s a young man with the heart of a child, in a sense. He’s upbeat, curious, playful,  laughs easily and isn’t one to let very much dampen his spirits. He likes to make a game or a joke out of everything and tends to use humor to deflect whatever ill feelings he might have. On occasion, he might take his humor unintentionally too far.
He has his broody moments though. He is constantly in fear of being discovered as a Mordecai-less mage and being punished for it. He doesn’t , for a moment, feel that what he’s doing is wrong because he uses his power to help Siorus.

There is a somewhat ugly side to his personality though. Byrant is fairly overconfident in his abilities (particularly magic) and tends to use almost any chance he can get to show off. Of course, he’s only SO fortunate that Siorus really doesn’t get any outside visitors who might have a mind to report a Mordecai-less mage to the government. His arrogance also tends to make him somewhat lazy. More often than not, he will rely on his magic to help him accomplish tasks (no matter how simple they might be). It doesn’t help either that he’s a disorganized procrastinator and will put things off as long as he can before rushing to deal with it all at the last possible moment.

He’s also prejudiced. Mistrustful of anything that doesn’t appear human. He HATES Aedolians and space pirates/thieves/outlaws and that kind of thing. He also kinda hates the Edani government and blames them for many of Siorus’s problems (even though he’s not even sure whether his accusations are true or not) .  All of these types of people are SCUM as far as he’s concerned.  >.> He also views psychics with a certain level of unease and mistrust. He doesn’t feel comfortable with the idea of a person who could enter his mind and know what he’s thinking, you know? Pretty creepy.

Fears: Snakes, psychics (lol) ,windstorms (who wouldn’t?), dead stuff.

Magic/Abilities

Non-Combat Related

Terraforming. With earth and water magics, he can move/shape the earth and draw moisture from the ground to create small ponds or streams. He doesn’t have any plant-based magics.

Horseback riding. The only form of transportation in Siorus.

Gardening. The most manly thing ever.

Combat Related

Personal Magic
Elemental. Capable of utilizing the four elements : earth , fire, water and air. No Mordecai is necessary to trigger or control these abilities HOWEVER without one the level of mental concentration required increases as well as the physical toll ken on the mage for requiring a greater level of mental focus. Channeling times for most spells are also increased. The magic is, however, FAR more potent without a Mordecai. Just slower and very difficult to master.

Artair is very skilled in two of the four elemental schools. It is important to note that he has NOT mastered them because such a level of proficiency takes MOST mages a lifetime to achieve – and some may never even reach it.

Specializations:
1)   Hydromancy-Also known as the art of water magic. His strongest element. He can draw moisture from anything but animal organisms (this includes humans for those unfamiliar with biology). This moisture can be molded by his will. He can alter the temperature, freeze it or make it scalding hot.
2)   Geomancy – He can move earth and rock or shape/break it to his will.

Magical Applications
He uses his magic, primarily , for terraforming and defending Siorus from any hostile threats.

Gemini Abilities/Magic

Magic Boost
The symbiotic relationship with the Gemini unlocks greater potential in ALL magical schools, but especially enhances his otherwise crappy mastery over fire. His water magics remain , by far , the most powerful though. Connection with the Gemini decrease his channeling time and greatly increase the potency of his powers. Note: I will go into further details about this if necessary.

Gemini Body Armor
Enhances physical abilities, making the wearer stronger and faster than the average human being. Other abilities are presently unknown. I guess Nemo and I will discuss this.

Gemini Specific
The Gemini itself possesses a natural arsenal of weapons which he may access and assist the Gemini through the link they share. Such weaponry includes:

(The following was copied from Anna’s profile because I am WAY too lazy to rewrite this right now in my own words. K? Thanks. )

- shoulder-plates can part to expose spine launchers the pilot can fire and guide even in midflight with a chemical with the assistance of her telepathy. These launch with enough force to drive through metal plates like butter. Her body produces multitudes of these to replace ones fired within minutes.

-On her abdomen, the pilot can direct plates to slide loose and let loose stingray-like levitating creatures that can produce a good deal of bioelectricity. These cannot live for long away from her body, so they flit in and out of the symbiotic slot in her lower abdomen to rest and recover. If these 'void rays' are slain, she regrows a set amount of them on her own. The pilot controls these with the help of her telepathy.

-The length and shape of her neck conceals her most deadly of armaments; a series of crystals that produce and refract heat and light form special glands all along the inside of her neck. With the pilot's help, she can gather enough power to aim and fire the beam of bio-plasma.

-Aeron's wing ailerons and claws can be made to  vibrate at supersonic speeds. In atmosphere, this produces a good deal of heat. For the claws, it makes them all the worse! For the wings, the vibration, directed outward, produces a thunderous shaped explosion that causes no harm to the Gemeni. Out of atmosphere, the cutting power of the claws becomes many times greater, and the wings, vibrating as they do, can produce electric charges that can be directed down the neck and down the specifically shaped head of the creature to allow her to fire strokes of lightning.

When a pilot is chosen, they are pulled into the Gemeni's special chest cavity, and receive a symbiotic - a living thing that links itself into their bodies and nervous system, allowing them to interact with the Gemeni and its mind, yes, but also call upon a measure of the creature's power, forming a kind of living suit of powered armor around them, greatly enhancing their physical abilities and giving them access to abilities on foot - heat claws, a spine thrower rifle thing, that sorta stuff.

With a pilot's help, she can navigate in space using the vibration of her wings to distort velocity, and with maneuvering thruster pouches under certain plates in her armor she cannot access on her own.

History
Nine years before he was born, Bryant’s parents made a deal with the government to venture out into uncharted and dangerous territory and terraform the area. The project was fully funded at the time and the volunteer colonists were adequately protected by its soldiers. However, over the course of about four or five years after the founding of Siorus, the government’s support dwindled and eventually was cut off entirely for reasons that aren’t quite clear. The only thing the people of Siorus understood was once this happened, life became a heck of a lot rougher for them.

The town faced many hardships, namely frequent attacks from all manner of criminal ilk and savage , flesh-consuming creatures (or monsters, as the townsfolk like to call them). There were also powerful winds that kicked up great sandstorms, and drought. Many good people were lost, but the majority survived and , after learning to unite and work together, the community flourished and grew stronger. In a sense, it became its own little world in the middle of a desert hell.

By the time Lee and his wife, Tracy had conceived their first child (Bryant), the town had already managed to grow trees, grass, flowers and even a small lake and an impressive variety crops and farm animals from Earth had been grown and bred.

Bryant is a farmboy born and raised. Much of his life has revolved around helping his family maintain their own farm. However, as a mage, Bryant’s responsibilities have increased...

His talent for magic was discovered early in life, around the age of four or five when he demonstrated the ability to make the water move and shape however he liked- well, not exactly how he liked because that level of concentration was beyond him at that point but he could make water behave in a manner that wasn’t natural and he would entertain himself for hours raising water from the lake, attempting to shape it into spheres (that often ended up horribly misshapen ) and directing them at poor, random townsfolk and giving them a rather unexpectedly wet surprise (also an unwanted one)  .

The townspeople tolerated the boy’s innocent little pranks at first though Bryant’s antics and his pride in his unique abilities somewhat isolated him from the other children his age. There were other mages , of course, but none of them behaved as Bryant did.

His shenanigans were quite harmless, really, but as the lad discovered his ability to manipulate other elements and the pranks became a little more hazardous , Bryant’s parents were pressured into finding a suitable mentor for their son (since, ironically, neither of his parents were mages) who would teach the lad some discipline and control.

He was nearly six when he entered under the apprenticeship of the elder mage, Gilbrid. Gilbrid was a stern but patient teacher who , even to this day, still educates his eager young charge every day from the late noon after a long day spent working on the family farm. From Gilbrid, not only has he learned to use his magic for terraforming, but he has also learned to use his magic offensively to protect the people of Siorus from whatever threatens it.
