[Feltrion system, 0145 hours.]

The small blue one man vessel jumped into the system after leaving Cancer and discovering a distress call from a Wolfen fleet, Mason saw this as a chance to spend time to help his fellow brothers and sisters in what ever they needed, he flew into a asteroid and came out over it to see the wreckage ahead, a large Colony vessel torn in half from a explosion and smaller Vessels turned to heaps of scrap that drifted in the cold space. he swallowed hard as he felt a knot in his throat at the horror he saw before him, the sight of thousands of Wolfen colonists dead in space. he turned the ship's main engines off and let the ship come to a complete stop and he drew in the sight and slammed his head down on the console as tears filled his eyes and dripped down his fur covered face. "AI, commence... Scanning for survivors... Who ever did this is going to pay." he ordered the computer before looking at the ships again to see the burns marks of Wolfen Laser cannons on the hulls of the ships. this turned his sorrow into anger as he noticed the attacking fleet jumping away and the Battlemaster's flagship warp away, he turned the engines back on and flew toward the colony ship to see if there were any survivors of his people.

Among the scattered wreckage in the near unadulterated dark on the surface of the asteroid, the occasional flicker of an arc cutter could be observed.  A relatively small mech toured to and fro, cutting welds and salvaging mechanical refuse into a freight container.  If it were piloted by a person, they either didn't know or didn't care that there had recently been a massacre here.

"What a mess.", he says to himself, reclined in the saddle of his cockpit.  It's pitch black inside, given that interior sight isn't necessary.  Among the cables and wires, there is a sort of helmet on the upper half of the pilot's head that feeds him the visuals from the mech's cameras.  On his arms are a set of weird gloves with still more wiring extending in neat bunches up into the frame, his mechanically-enhanced legs working the pedals that move the machine as a whole.  "These parts are choice, though.  The locals definitely lost the fight, but Aedolis lost some serious rigs out here."

It may be of note to the observer that the scrap being taken is chosen very meticulously-- Most of it is comprised of components for serious combat mecha.  There's a huge black market for such things, particularly among Aedolis' enemies.  That being said, what parts remain intact of the life support systems that used to provide for these people are presently being unceremoniously gutted and placed in the bin right along with them.

He looked around as his AI scanned the area to see the small flicker of the arc cutter, he turned his fighter around and turned on the autopilot to stop at 0.5 Units as he put on the helmet to his compressed hardsuit along with a handgun in the case this salvager was dangerous. " AI, continue scanning while I check this area out."

<Yes sir, scanning is 15% complete.>

He got out of his seat and opened the airlock in the side of the ship and waited for the pressure and air to transfer before opening the next door and out side with his pistol and thruster pack on. he gave himself a push from the fighter to the asteroid and landed with his gun aimed at the Mech. "Put your hands up where i can see them!" he barked as he loaded the gun and aimed it at the mech.

A small spacefighter.. An active one, too!  This, he thought, might have been someone who had been part of the attack.  More than likely, however, it was another raider here in search of parts.  The rear-facing camera spotted the large Wolfen long before he was close enough to say anything.  The communication channel opens and he hears the person speak to him, replying without so much as skipping a beat in his work.

"Are you serious?  If you wanted to fight you shouldn't have gotten out of your ride.  This thing is armored, too, so you can shoot it with that all day.  How about you try starting with 'Hello, how are you?' instead?  Huh?"

Mason let out a low growl before putting his handgun away "I just want to know if you saw what happened here? this fleet had friends of mine in it." his visor's computer came on to reveal a distress signal coming from the Carrier not too far away from the asteroid.

<This is EF Vernin, we have been attacked by the Santorian fleet and need assistance. we have several wounded and need a place to take refuge.>

"It seems I have survivors to help, I would be glad if you can help me help them." he said as he moved his hand to the side of the helmet and pressed one of the buttons to respond to the call <This is Mason Cleo of House Stormclaw, I've picked up your first call from a nearby system. Keep an eye out for a old fourth generation interceptor.> He stood there for a second and gave the mech and it's pilot a polite bow before floating back to his vessel with a few puffs from his thruster pack and back into the fighter.

Even as he speaks, he continues shredding the remains of a downed Aedolian mech frame for its organs.  "Sorry, fido.  By the time I get to a battlefield, it's been a long time since anyone living was on it.  I don't have the kind of weaponry to be in a hotzone, I just sell junk on Cancer."  He didn't have any interest on answering any distress calls without some way to protect himself, and the quadrupedal mecha with 'BIG GUY' painted on one of its armored spaulders was clearly not designed for the dangers of battle.

"Fine Akkrura, just go on with your business... I would offer escort back to Cancer Station but it seems you don't need it." he said over the radio before flying his fighter toward the damaged carrier to see a freighter with auto B houses and a small Corvette class gunship docked next to one another in the hanger <This is Mason Cleo, I'm right outside of the carrier, the enemy fleet has already departed.> the two ships left the Hanger and pulled up next to Mason's small fighter.

<Thanks Mason, we just got word that one of our scouts found a planet suitable for us. But we need to resupply and tend to our wounded.>

<There's a station in the next system over, I'll give you the coordinates.>

<Thanks, we'll contact you and our scout once we reach the station.> The two ships were enveloped by a green light that passed over their ships and sent them on their way.

"So scavenger, are you in need of an escort?" the Wolfen pilot asked as he did a quick scan on the ship's systems and Identification.
