Physical Description
Being almost entirely Fae, Nelu is very slender, though some human blood in his ancestry has influenced his height. He’s considered ‘in shape’ for his kind, but he actually has very little muscle mass, is rather lanky, and overall quite weak when compared to other humanoids his size. He’s fair skinned, with a very slight spattering of freckles across his nose. Probably his most obvious and distinguishing feature is his hair - it’s fairly short, but layers in a way that might remind a person of overlapped flower petals. It starts off a pale pink near the roots, and gradually darkens near the tips. Springing out of this unusual head of hair are many pieces that refuse to lay flat, instead curling upward away from his scalp. They’re pale green in color, and nothing he does can tame them. His eyes, vivid and expressive, are a rich plum color. Apart from these obviously not human traits, Nelu also has a pair of wings that tuck into two grooves in his back. They’re similar to a dragonfly’s in shape, and are translucent with a rainbow like sheen of color when the light hits their surface.
Nelu’s every day clothes basically consist of whatever he can find to fit his particular sense of style. He enjoys color, especially pastel shades, and anything that has flowers on it. These are not ‘feminine’ things to him - they’re things that most of his family enjoys, as they come from a long line of ‘flower’ Fae.

Personality
Nelu is peaceful and polite as a general rule - Fae are not known for their aggressiveness, and he was raised with all proper manners and etiquette back on Edanith. He believes all creatures should be treated with a certain level of respect, and he has a rather strong moral compass. That being said, he’s not human, and so his views on things can sometimes come as a surprise. He’s also from a family where one must always respect and obey their elders, and this carries over into his personality and how he deals with other older humanoids. Though he might appear timid and passive at times, he’s got a surprising amount of fight in him when needed - though he must rely on his wit and powers rather than physical strength.
Nelu is quite intelligent, having acquired a fair bit more education on Edanith than most Aedolian citizens. He likes to think things through logically and keep a cool head, rather than relying on force of emotions - a carry over from his daily meditation as practiced back home. He also views relationships and sex with a logical eye - back home, sex was for the sake of helping populate the new world more than it was for pleasure, where people got married for the sake of creating many offspring, and his family adhered to that idea. Being a virgin, he has no idea what sex feels like either, and so he can’t wrap his brain around ‘doing it just for fun’. He's not really known for having a sense of humor, and he has a habit of taking things literally (so innuendos will likely go right over his head). When emotions DO win over reason, he tends to get very flustered and usually can’t even string two words together (right about then is when he likes to make a hasty retreat to collect himself).

Magic/Abilities
A unique form of Telekinesis that allows him to manipulate and amplify vibrations in the air - most commonly sound waves. He’s used to doing this for his voice, as well as the vibrations he can create with his own wings.

Relationships
His parents and younger brother still live in Haviah, though the rest of his extended family is back on Edanith. Other than that, he really hasn’t actually been in Haviah long enough to make many friends.
Now that he’s in the Pilot Candidate Program, his first and foremost thought is just making it to round two relatively unscathed.

History
Nelu was born on Edanith, in one of the packed megacities the planet is famous for. He came into a large family, of nearly 100% Fae blood. He was his parent’s first child, but he was not lacking in playmates, for he had a plethora of aunts and uncles who had many children of their own, and all lived as nearby as was possible in the crowded residential area. Many of his family members ended up born with magic, something common to the Fae, and so he had quite a few ‘royalty status’ relatives living the posh life as a kept Edanith mage. Nelu himself had no magical talent to speak of, like his parents, and so he lived a rather normal childhood - though he could do some interesting things with his voice and buzzing of his wings, he kept it mostly to himself. He studied hard and was diligent with his meditation, and for all intents and purposes fully embraced the Edani way of life. His kind flourished there, surrounded by nature - as controlled as it was, it was far better than what they had heard about Earth.
Despite that, his parents took a trip to Aedolis to celebrate their second pregnancy - while there, they seemed to be awed by the city and it’s many distractions. They returned for vacations a few times, and once their second son had turned 12, they packed up and moved to Aedolis permanently, gaining citizenship in Haviah.
During this process, Nelu had his first psychic screening, and came up positive for mild telepathy - further investigation revealed his telekinetic prowess as well. So at age 16, Nelu found himself in the candidacy - his brother, 13, is on the watch list to see if he too develops any powers.
