Physical Description Kael is a lithe young man, dark skin and prominent facial features reminiscent of African ancestry. His long hair is styled in tight braids, often pulled back in a ponytail and dyed a dark cobalt. His few mutations show themselves on his flesh as photophores, uncanny to those of deep sea life. These light generating organs form rings around his wrists and ankles, lines along his eyelids and lips, and dots lining his extremities. After leaving his home and pursuing the life of a vagabond he indulged in foreign, materialistic hobbies, using what little wealth he accumulates to accessorize his body in gold plated body jewelry. Among these additions are a medusa, 2 neighboring brow rings, and a navel barbell. Despite his interest in piercings, Kael has no desire to look into tattoos as a form of body art.
His primary choices of clothing include tight undershirts, form fitting pants or bodysuits. Consistent to his wardrobe is a large, navy coat, made from cheap mimicry materials such as the faux fur trim. He almost always wears flat boots, not finding heels worth the discomfort, and being able to move with ease is vital for the harsh regions he frequents.
Personality Freedom-loving at heart, the vastness of space is an attractive get-away for the young vagabond. Though, Kael's content, humble nature brings him to feel most home in the cluttered slums of various stations and planets. His extroversion drives him to settle in these places for short time periods, working small jobs, bonding with locals, and being quick to make the connections necessary to budget his next trek across star systems.
Albeit his lifestyle puts a dent in his social and romantic lives, Kael harbors a great deal of loyalty and dependability, and those who make it past a thin shell of moodiness find him easy to connect with. He remains difficult to trip up or extort as well, having grown up in a world where being cunning as well as quick on your feet is necessary.
Magic/Abilities While learning no magic on his homeworld Teinar, Kael proves most handy with a blade, using a boxcutter for both daily use and self defense. While on his travels he managed to learn firearms, but his lack of skill with most easily obtainable handguns as well as ammo management makes them unappealing. Kael can climb and run freely, making up for his poor strength in endurance. He does best to keep in shape even while between ports.

History Born and raised on Teinar, Kael's eagerness to self express and indulge in a variety of pleasures and freedoms led him to purchase a small, unsightly cargo ship from a merchant and re-purpose it for space travel. He left his homeworld at 19, finally setting his sights on the easily accessible Station Cancer. Kael's life on Teinar had trained him for the mindset needed to not be chewed out by the near hazardous nature of the station's shady businesses and potentially dangerous patrons.
The lack of regulation on Cancer led Kael to discover the vices of illegal substances, primarily in narcotics. While having grown a fondness for lighter stimulants, the high demand for such substances by locally-bound dealers and various contacts gives him decent work in selling whatever ingredients or plants he picks up on his travels. His habit in honesty makes him liked by most residents, and Kael relies heavily on repeat customers. He also takes a lot of pride in keeping some morality in the harsh setting, refusing to sell particularly dangerous narcotics despite the tempting rewards.
