Hi everyone. I'm from SotE but I thought I might try this out too. I mainly know about fantasy so if I say something stupid sorry.

Um, I believe in aliens but I doubt we will ever find them. They are too far away to ever visit or make contact with...unless we had massive lifespans of 1000+ years.

How is it stupid? Lots of people don't believe in them, then there is the other extreme...the Ralians I think their called.

Becaaaauuuse. Any edcutated person can tell you that, due to the vastness of the universe, extra-terrestrial life is statisitically almost certain, moreso if you take into account universal expansion. The chances for any given planet to be in the 'goldilocks zone', that is, the correct distance from it's star to support life, and contain the required minerals and proteins needed for life, and then for whatever event (which most scientists beleive is lightning, there's a test which indicates that it is, quite interesting, but off topic) is needed to trigger the birth or life to occur are astronomically small. But, at the same time the universe is even larger! Thus, statstically, aliens almost certainly exist. Perhaps not even more than tiny, single celled organisms, but alive none the less.

So, anyone who dosn't beleive in aliens is a stupid git. Just like anyone that dosn't beleive in evolution, that the world is spherical, or that the stars are burning balls of gas.

I'm probably walking the plank right now but that is very narrow minded. Lots of people do not believe in aliens or many other things that scientists believe. People believe what they are told, there are many places where people do not get to learn about modern science.

BTW I am in my last year in science at uni. I do understand evolution, Microbiology went deep into terriforming. I really hope I haven't pissed you off.
