Peace and Quiet...Not (Rina-china!)
« on: January 10, 2011, 09:05:50 pm »
The Pilot Party had been something of a disaster. He'd woken up the next morning with a headache of all things (when was the last time he'd drank enough for that to happen??), with a memory of a rather irritating Pilot White, and was in quite the foul mood for at least three days after the event (mainly due to a rather prolonged argument with Aryeh about said party).
Finally though, things were getting back to some sense of normalcy. Hibiki was currently working on a rather sizable stack of paperwork perched on his desk. The desk it self was, oddly enough, facing the broad window of his office, which itself was situated on the outside of the building. Naturally, the view was just of more tall buildings, but it was something. He preferred it to staring at the door of his own office if nothing else.
As he scribbled, he left the 'guarding' of the room to his dragon, Aryeh. His dragon was no bigger than a small horse, and often followed Hibiki everywhere. As it was difficult for him to get back up when he lay down, due to his strange peg-shaped legs, he was currently standing idly behind Hibiki, his eyes closed though he was still perfectly aware of everything going on both in the room and nearby in the hall. His presence meant Hibiki could focus entirely on his work, ignoring all else and shutting out his surroundings completely.

Christian had a pretty damn good time at the bash. He had gotten to mess with Hibiki and found himself a new pet. Life was good. Though being back to work was such a drag, all that paper work and red tape that just piled up.

He had taken a break to snag some coffee, sipping the hot liquid out of the cheap cup. Heading back to his office, Christian noticed the door to Hibiki's office was open. And the grumpy old fart was absorbed in work, those ears of his relaxed.

Hibiki had given him some...interesting information at the bash. About how sensitive his ears were. Teeeeempting. He watched the kitsune for a moment longer, then decided he could afford to take a few more minutes from work. The dragon was inside, though Christian mentally crossed his fingers and hoped he wasn't gonna care.

Silently crossing the floor, Christian moved up behind the kitsune, leaned down just a little and lightly blew across his furry ear.

Aryeh opened one reptilian eye as Christian entered the room, but already knew who he was if only by Hibiki's memory of him. Well, well, well...somehow I get the feeling he is here to cause my Hibiki some more grief. That should prove...entertainin g.
Thus, the metal-clad dragon did not make a sound, nor did he alert Hibiki mentally of the approaching trouble.

As such, Hibiki was completely and totally unaware of Christian, even as he stood behind him, until disaster inevitably struck. That gust of wind on his ear sent a sharp shiver straight down his spine and the poor kitsune nearly jumped out of his skin.
"WAAAH!"
Papers veritably exploded off his desk thanks to a slight psychic backlash as Hibiki jumped to his feet, his tail puffed out to at least three times it's normal size. Spinning around, it was all he could do not to draw one of his guns from its thigh holster and point it right at what he knew would be an amused face.
"Pilot Noble White!!"
Though his voice was obviously displeased, he was sitting somewhere around violently angry and completely flustered - whichever it was, his face was already a bit reddened.

Meanwhile, Aryeh was having a good chuckle right about now.

"Yes?" Christian smiled beatifically at Hibiki, looking the very picture of innocence, "Is something the matter sir? You seem a little flushed. A fever perhaps? Though..." He made a point to look at all the papers around them, a few still fluttering down, "You seem somewhat jumpy."
