A New Family Member ((Amori and Flybat!))

Makani was checking out her outfit in the mirror. She had the luck normally to be able to throw things together and they came out looking amazing. She could just make things work. She didn't even really think about it. That fact had driven some people she knew crazy. Today she was wearing a pair of tight jeans with faded permanent marker and holes in them. Her shirt was a black silken fabric that tied around her neck and at the center of her back. It looked somewhat refined and somehow complimented the beat up pants and chucks. Her hair was pulled up in a pony tail with a few strands hanging down at the sides of her face. She grinned and nodded at herself pleased.

Makani knew she tended to dress better when Fi was around. That's just the way it was. She slid a pair of silver hoops into her ears. They were going to go out and have a few drinks with Jax then come back here and hopefully keep drinking. This was the day Fi would meet Jax. Makani hoped she liked her. Maki and the girl had hit it off pretty well when they met. Makani figured that Fi might like Jax better than Rupi since she was a little more chill. Might be better for her headaches...maybe. Jax was one to encourage Makani's partying.

Makani walked out of her room adjusting her earrings. Her ears were fully visible with her hair up like this. She like to show off how different she was than other people. She thought the ears were sexy. There were occasions that she felt self conscious, because she wasn't exactly sure of the extent of her differences. She just knew she was. Sometimes she wondered if her brain worked differently...if that's why she acted the way she did. Then she would drown the thoughts in liquor. Which is what she needed to go do now.

She walked down the stairs and to the garage with a bounce in her step. She hadn't gotten to hang out with Fi in awhile so this would be nice. She looked between Serpentine and the other bike she sometimes used and decided on the other one. The bike with no name. She'd rather drive Serpentine but she had to be careful, and she was lucky enough to have had the money to purchase it. Might as well use the thing.

She had decided they should meet at a restaurant instead of Gravitation. It wouldn't be as loud for Fi that way. She was starting to deal better with the whole in love with her best friend thing. It was something she had to get passed. She was starting to feel better about it but she still went out of her way to make sure Fi was comfortable, that way she would stay around longer. She left the garage more than ready for her first drink.

She pulled up into a spot and shut off her cycle. She slid off of it and leaned up against the side of the building. She assumed it would be no smoking inside so she pulled out a cigarette and lit it. She hadn't had one in a few hours so she was jonesing for it. Now she'd just wait for her girls.

Buzz, Buzz Jax looked at her new not flashy cell with a smile. A night on the town, as the saying went. Perfect. Plus she'd get to meet Fi. They hadn't ran into each other yet. Something about Fi having awful headaches.

Jax felt for her. Headaches sucked, and constant terrible headaches well that would be hell. Garret would probably have something for it, maybe Jax would bring that up. Jax shook her head. Enough pondering what will happen. she chided herself.

"Clothes" she muttered. She wasn't really one to dress up, least not in dresses or skirts. Something clean would work. She pulled some clothes out of her clothes bin that looked half clean. Tie dye shirt with a small white skull in the middle of the spiral, and some black baggy pants with loads of pockets. She slipped them on and stumbled into the bathroom to spike her hair.

Flipping on the light switch, she winced at the bright light. "Less alcohol, ah" she said quietly. Her head wasn't pounding, she just felt a bit sore and tired. Nothing a night out and some good food wouldn't cure. Slipping her phone into her pocket, she dabbed some hair wax into her hair. Having both hands free, she began to work the wax in, smiling at the result a few minutes later.

Popping her knuckles, she went out to the garage for her bike. She hadn't had the time to spruce up Spokey yet, so she just set there with her dark purple paint looking sad. "Night on the town, look alive!" Jax said happily giving the bike a pat.

She spotted Maki outside and parked her cycle near by. "Whoa, looking fine" she exclaimed, feeling under dressed. Oh well, to late to go back and change she thought. "So Fi hasn't showed up yet? Hope she's feeling up to it"

Fi didn't want to. Fi really didn't want to. She never understood why she had to go and meet new people with Makani. Sure this was a person who was going to be part of their group now but still...why did they have to go out to a special place? Couldn't said person just move in and then they could meet? It would save a hell of a lot of time and save her from possibly getting a headache. Maybe..it all depended how this person was..

They had better not be a pain for her sake...and well for their's as well. No she wouldn't cause any damage or anything but having Fi irritated or upset or angry at anyone was never really a good thing anyway.

Fi was tempted to just stay in bed. She had just managed to get rid of another headache. Chances were if she did stay Makani would message her or call her constantly which would result in another headache. There could be none of that. So there she was, changing her clothes and what not. She pulled on a dark blue tank top and a pair of comfy jeans. She felt no need to dress up or anything. Chances were she wouldn't stick around too long if Makani had chose some place loud or some place she found annoying.

Fi slipped on a pair of shoes after that and brushed her hair gently before leaving her room. It was quiet. That had to mean Makani had already left. With a small shrug she went to the garage and grabbed her bike, not caring too much that it was her racing one. Though it probably would be best for her to invest in a bike for leisure rides. Another time.

---

Fi pulled up to the location. She hadn't heard of the place before or well she had and just forgot, either way it didn't sound familiar. She shut the bike off before hopping off it and walked over to Makani and what she could only assume was the new girl when she had spot them. "So is there any specific reason we had to meet here and not at home?" she asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

Makani gave a wide smile at Jax when she complemented her. She spun around and gave a small bow to the girl.

"Thank you ma'm." She ashed her cigarette and blew it away from Jax. "Nah not yet. She hates leaving the house a lot of the time she's so grumpy. That's why I need happy mechanics to party with." She took another hit and ashed the cigarette then put it out on the wall when she spotted Fi's bike. She grinned and flicked the butt across the parking lot.

"There's our girl." She said pointing a finger towards Fi and her bike. "Don't get offended if she's grumpy or not happy to be here. It's not you it's her constant state. Also..."She put a hand on Jax's shoulder. "Have fun and don't be nervous." Makani lifted her eyes to see Fi strolling up looking agitated. Her greeting was less than enthused.

"Fi, Fi, Fi. If I didn't get you out of the house you would never leave. Honestly. Also I'm buying us all a real meal." She made a tutting noise at the gray haired biker. "Fi this is Jax. She wants to be our mechanic, and I want her to be." She moved her hand from Fi to Jax like they needed to be told who the other was.

"Hey Fi." Jax said waving even though they weren't that far from one another. She wasn't put out at her lack of enthusiasm. It was cool.

"Thank god I'm not the only one under dressed." She commented smiling at Fi. "Though am a tad, well not hung over per se, just a tiny bit tired from all the partying we do. Nothing a good meal won't cure though. So anywho, hope this place isn't all dresses and such"

She was a bit more talkative than normal, but yeah she liked meeting new people. It was odd, sometimes she was really talkative and other times just chill. Eh, she tended to rant a bit around strangers.

"What's so wrong with that? Being at home means less headaches." Fi mumbled. That was of course a prime reason she didn't want to leave that often. Going to work was bad enough and always caused a great migrane for her to deal with the rest of the night. It only made her hate people a bit more as well. So going out for her was never very good.

She glanced over at the Jax and arched a brow. "....Hi." Under dressed? She was under dressed? Her form of under dressed would be Makani when she was drunk and walking around in no clothes. That was under dressed. "If you want her to be the mechanic then she's the mechanic. Do you have to get permission from me for that?" she said, glancing back at Makani.

When Jax started to talk again, she looked back over at her again. Except this time she looked even less enthused than before. The girl sure did talk a lot. That could be a problem....and she was another partier. Another problem. "Makani parties. I don't. And if it's all dresses I choose to go home now."
