Mechites
« on: August 01, 2010, 10:05:21 pm »
1. Race name Mechites or Mech-men.
2. Characteristics
Generally, they are humanoid figures made of metal and look much like a mecha downsized to human form. Some are larger, some are a bit smaller, but all have a humanoid appearance. They usually have some sort of weapon on them, either built in or on a holster, seeing as most forms are for combat. A rare few are for construction, but they are very rare, seen only on the most essential of buildings. They are not completely robots all the time, however, some being part man, part machine, forming an interesting cyborg. Almost all have personalities of their own and a mind, either artificial or natural, that functions.
3. Homeland
They're found wherever a human can be found, really. They have been rumored to have been started being built on some distant planet hidden from the known worlds, and the technology was jettisoned here, and they were constructed. Mechrites have been known to be found mostly on the planets, prefering to find work wherever their specialty lies.
4. Special abilities and distinguishing features
They have zero magical or physcic abilities unless they are mixed with a sentient being of flesh, but are very durable and have perfect control over their emotions. Most have things such as heat vision and tactical displays, all for a design to give them optimal control over a battlefield. For the construction types, there are usually extra arms and tools for welding, placing, and more.
5. Life cycle
For the pure robotic kinds, as long as they're kept in good maintenance, they will live forever. However, if they are cyborgs, then they will as long as their flesh self.
6. Social Structure
These beings are usually treated rather downgraded, seeing as they are usually merely robots. Even though this occurs, they live as ordinary people would, but are usually found as mercenaries and soldiers and construction workers. Not the most conversational people, but people they are.
