Sort Of Like A Night Light.

It took a lot of courage to come out this far. Kits hands were shaking slightly when she grabbed her glass of bourbon and koka and took a sip wrinkling her nose at the taste of the alochol bu appreciating it none the less. maybe she should take to having a drink out after work more often, maye get drunk and figure out how to keep the glowing to a minimum. Kit rubbed her finger tips together, it wouldn't be noticeable yet, she frowned.

Would she get into trouble if anyone found out that she couldn't control her photokinesis when she was slightly out of it? Kit laughed to herself before ducking her head down. The tattoos along the left side of her body where visible, the tank top showed off her arm and a little of her mid section. The short shorts showed off the tattoos on her legs and she was sure she looked silly with the cowboy boots.

Not that it bothered her.

Kit was a Pilot Echo. Of course, her lack of going out and about left her virtually unknown. She didn’t mind. It didn’t seem comfortable to have someone looking at you and them screaming ‘It’s a pilot.’ From the quiet conversations going on she could tell that this place didn’t have Pilots high on their loved ones list. The glass gave a dull clunk as it hit the table and Kit let her head rest in her hand.

This was depressing. The Pilots back at the citadel were probably cruising around the ATC and having quick dirty screws with the candidates. Eugh. Kit pressed a hand through her hair and breathed deeply before puffing out her cheeks. She supposed she could find someone to talk to. Slowly she looked over her shoulder, her bright turquoise eyes looking from table to table, along the bar.  Well, no one she saw looked alone, quite a few were in seemingly engaging conversations.

Oh well, she’d be fine sitting along and drinking her booze. Such was the fate of a Pilot that didn’t value the same things as everyone else.
