1. Race name Nohrer's Wasp (Pronounces Norr)
2. Characteristics These creatures are a large hybrid of a wasp and a praying mantis. They are about a foot long and half a foot tall, minus the front legs.
Their front legs are like the praying mantis's legs, sharp and rather lethal. They have small spike like designs covering them and they fold down like a Mantis's legs. They have large black eyes that are colorblind but allow them to see many more directions than say a humans' eyes. They have a long set of black antennae which they use to communicate along with their front legs.
Their back half is more wasp and bee like with large fluttering wings and a stinger. The color scheme is a dark yellowish brown with black accents in different places depending on the creature and its genes.

4. Special abilities and distinguishing features
The stinger of the males is fairly poisonous. There is already an antidote in developments with the hunters and some testing has already been done. The venom isn't poisnous if just one stings you, but several? That's when it starts to get dangerous, and where there is one...there are several.
They have a long proboscis and how it's used is rather disturbing. When a group have taken a mutant or sometimes a human down to eat they have stung it several times. This poison enters the bloodstream then helps melt down the skin and muscle into a more liquid like consistency then they slurp it up and gather nutrients that way. Normally all that's left is a skeleton with patches of skin.
5. Life cycle
They have one Queen and then one other female that helps her give birth and takes care of her. The Queen's job is to just lay eggs. She can produce about 1000 eggs or more in a month. After about two weeks the hatchlings are fully matured and most times push out of the nest to go and form their own. However they only produce during the spring and summer months.
6. Social Structure
There is a female in charge of all the males in a hive like situation but Hunters call it a Nest. In a nest there are normally two females and then about 25 males of any age. They take care of the young wasps for about two weeks before shoving some out and keeping others.
