2. Characteristics
The Astika seem to be a mix of more human characteristic and Kadru traits. They tend to have scales that are normally blue, green or yellow that cover portions of the body but not all. They have human like skin but it is normally very pale and they can sunburn somewhat easily. Where the skin is tight across bone, like cheekbones, wrists and other joints the tint of the skeleton can be seen which is generally a dark blue color. They always have the fan like ears but they are extending out of a human lobe. Their eyes are also snake-like.
The more dramatic Kadru characteristic the Astika can have are a jaw that unhinges, the forked tongue, a large amount of scales, and even the gills that allow them to breath underwater. These traits don't present themselves as often as others.
If the Astika leans more towards the Kadru side of themselves they can become very animalistic and predator like. This can cause them to gain all sorts of grace, speed, and just all out prowess, however it can also cause them to detach from the world around them and start to view the people around them as a meal, not peers.
3. Homeland
Just about anywhere. There are still various theories on where they might have came from and why there is no large concentration of them anywhere in particular.
4. Special abilities and distinguishing features
Special abilities normally include serpent like speed, grace, and an ability to withstand more adrenaline entering the body and remaining clear headed.
5. Life cycle
Lifespan: 100-110 years
Their life cycle is almost exactly the same as humans except for a few small details. The amount of time in the womb is shorter by a month. Once the Astika are born they age very similarly except just a little bit faster. They are ready earlier than humans to reproduce and hit their full size faster that humans normally do as well.
6. Cultural description
The Astika tend to be very warrior type people. They like an adrenaline rush, it's basically in their genes. They also can't seem to stay in one place, or with one person. They are never quite satisfied with what they have an can sometimes be completely unsatisfied with their situation and just drop whatever is happening and move on. The Astika can be rather brutish and enjoy getting into fights, they find themselves built for it.
They also tend to be rather conflicted because of the human and Kadru combating in their system. This conflict can lead them to become more in touch with their Kadru side, when that happens they can lose sense of their human selves. If this happens with an Astika they can become exceedingly dangerous and become Predator amongst humans and the races like it.
They have no exact culture that is known because the origins of the Race itself is still in question. The Astika only have characteristics that seem to repeat themselves in other of their race in personality.
7. Religion
Differs individual to individual.
