Front mounted weapon systems: V1: Single Pulse carbine laser cannon- Fires long range pulse laser rounds, at about 60 shots a minute, More powerful then the newly adapted Twin linked pulse laser system, The Pulse Carbine is still built for shield penetration but will do signifigant damage to light armour.
V2: 2 Twin linked Pulse Carine Laser cannons- In direct response to the removal of the Rift Raptor light fighter from Mars's arensal they developed the twin linked Pulse Carbine, capable of firing 120 shots within a minute and not being affected by the overheating problems that were a signifigant problem with the Rift Raptors Pulse Laser systems

In direct response to the success of the Rift Raptors Guass pulse laser systems Mars space program focused on improving the shot fired to give it even more range and even more damage to light and medium armour systems, even damaging heavy armour slightly. With the increase in range the firing rate has also increased to 100 shot a minute

Class history and service: The V1 was developed by the Mars space program to bring an serious threat to the now discontinued Falco space craft. Using existing technology and a strip down of the Magna Fighter the Raven V1 was developed and the proto types were sent straight into service with out signifgant changes. The ongoing development of the Rift Raptor to eventually replace the Raven meant that no additional versions of the Raven were planned.
Since the theft of the single Rift Raptor prototype the Mars space program put all resources into finding a way to counter the Rift Raptor incase it was used against them in the near future. Taking the poor points of the Rift Raptor and seeing what could be changed in the Raven the development team was able to come up with a suitible counter within 3 years.
The Raven V2 is a supiorer light fighter. Equipped with the same armour level as the Rift Raptor is render the latter's weapons less effective. The shield were upgraded to increase it's lastablitility in the field. Upgrading the Pulse Carbine Cannon by twin linking it gives the V2 much more fire power then any Mars light fighter to be produced. Changing the Gauss Pulse laser system as well to give it Extended Range and a higher rate of fire makes it a direct rival to the Rift Raptor.
Dispite the increase in wieght and arsenal they were still able to increase the performance of the engines but wether it can out pace the Rift Raptor is left to be seen
