Look At All The Lonely People. ((Draco!!))
« on: April 08, 2009, 10:41:12 pm »
Today was a bad day for Satori Clare.

She was wandering around the halls feeling horribly bad for herself by this point. She had been working bad to being alright. It was in sight, she had almost forgotten...the pain that came up with Adawulf, just the thought of him. It made her body ache with a phantom sort of pain she couldn't ever numb. All it took to bring the pain full fledged back like it was new all over again was a call from her Step Mother, Anna Tam. That sweet movie star of a woman.

Satori had never enjoyed that woman's presence, her voice, or really even just the idea of her. Normally Satori would just pass up the call, but she had hoped her Dad was on the other end as well, or maybe she just wanted something to distract her. Instead he was nowhere to be found. Perfect. That ruined any hope that this call had of ending well. But for some reason she hoped, prayed, that just this once Anna wouldn't be the bitch from Hell.

The topic of conversation though, was anything but what Satori wanted to talk about. Apparently, she had forgotten to mention that Adawulf (just thinking the name hurt) had been TRIMed. She had spoken of him to her Dad, and had left it opened. The last thing anyone wanted to do during a loss was recount to everyone over and over, though it seemed to always be the case. No matter what kind of loss it was.

Anna had been reading the papers, she had seen Satori and Wulf together in some of the gossip features. The tattoo session, shopping, just out and about. Satori contained a full fledged growl into gritted teeth instead. Anna wanted Satori to make her "proud" which to her meant, marriage and being famous, hopefully marrying someone famous or another Pilot. The woman was still obsessed with controlling Satori's life, even when they hadn't sat down and really spoken in about two years.

The last thing Satori wanted was to make Anna Tam proud. She wanted the exact opposite. She wanted the woman to despise her. To never call, to refer to her as the black sheep of the family. Most of all she wanted Anna away from her father, but from this distance she had no claim in the family anymore really, she wasn't in the house and her Dad never understood what was wrong with Anna.

"Well, Anna he wasn't...my type." Satori wanted to dispel this conversation as soon as possible. She should have remembered that complaining about the man was the last thing she should have done. To Anna, Satori was always the lesser in whatever coupling she was in. She was the one who should sacrifice everything. She gave her full speech she use to give her about movie star's sons she tried to set Satori up with.

"You really should be less picky, I mean obviously the boys are who date you. The scorpion tail isn't something to get passed very easily." Satori felt a rage rise in her she had never felt before, for a brief moment she erupted, spilling every curse and problem she had with Anna into the phone. The sadness was consumed gone, Anna hung up yelling back into the phone.

So now, Satori wandered the halls, avoiding the call she knew she would be getting from her Dad. The circles under her eyes were obvious, she hadn't even bothered to cover them up. She even had her wrist organizer turned off. No communication from anyone but Lantenac. Marshal was busy, as he normally was lately, Lamb was ear deep in paperwork. There was no one to talk to, so she walked.

Remi hadn’t paid much attention to any of the candidates beside his own with the passive hand to pat on Gabriels head. He knew of them, but he generally stayed away from the ones who’s Pilots he found distasteful. Because of what he was, Remi never had false threats and he never lied to his candidates. Candidate rather. Remi had never taken on a second one after Izya died. Had barely seen his daughter after Izya died. Had barely lived after Izya died.

Of course he’d heared of it.

Everyone had.

Remi moved his thumbs over the rings on his right hand ( or left, I can never remember which hand I put his rings on ) and pressed his other hand deeply into his pocket, walking to his rooms. He looked like he always did. Half asleep, messy bright yellow hair, hooded pink coloured eyes. Shirt was undone slightly, untucked out of his black pants.

On his way back to his apartment he spotted her and he could feel his heart breaking. The look in his eyes was the same he probably carried to this day, a still healing wound that left him nearly broken. His was a clean break. He knew Izya was dead. Wulf though. Wulf was in TRIM. Remi didn’t let his thoughts stray and all he did was stop and remove his hands from his pockets.

“Satori...”

Remi tilted his head to the side and gently grabbed her shoulders. They weren’t close. Passing. The odd conversation when he had to. He was never open. But now they had something in common. Something almost no one else in his place currently felt, amazing enough. Perminent loss. The constant screaming ache that pulled at you when ever something wonderful happend, because they’d be missing on and there was no way that you could show them.

Licking his lips he smiled down at her and tilt his head. “Want to talk?” Remi paused before dropping his hands and pressing them into his pockets. “You’d be surprised with how well I know what you’re going through right now.”

The Pilot didn't even notice Remi, didn't know that he spoke till his hand on her shoulders broke the spell of melancholy. She processed that he had said her name and she met his eyes. For a moment her complete sadness was on her face, she tried to cover it quickly but she was too slow, and the smile she did manage to get on her face was far too weak to be real. She cursed herself. She must have run into him and didn't notice, she needed to put her best face on quickly make sure that he didn't see her like this. He wouldn't want anything to do with that anyway.

Then he spoke, she felt like he saw right through her. Her mouth felt very dry as she tried to think of what she could say to get out of this situation, say that he must have the wrong person? That she was fine? She didn't need to talk she was dealing with it alright? She licked her lips still feeling parched and thinking that maybe she wouldn't actually be able to speak at all when he got to the point that he wanted a response.

The way he looked at her...
who had he lost?

She had never really known Remi, wasn't sure of his story in the least. She didn't have many friends and he didn't seem to either. He seemed to be a hermit, she never saw him much of anywhere. That sadness in his eyes...she had never noticed it before. When he released her shoulders she heard a choked cry in her head that she stopped from making it to her throat. It was good to have someone touch her after so long. Comforting.

She looked at him for a second like she had forgotten how to have a conversation and how to feel anything. Then her face broke her eyes started to tear up, she tried to blink it back but she was too far gone now. She wanted to say she needed to go home when she opened her mouth something much different came out.

"Remi..." Then her voice grew quieter. "Yes, please. I'd like that."
