So... last night I couldn't sleep, and I started doodling characters. Sadly, I started doodling them on lined paper. I haven't had a chance to ink them or anything, but I thought I'd post them anyhow.

Perch! He looks a lot like my little brother.

Liv, taking off his vest and looking a little naughty. Or just badly-drawn.

I'm kicking around a more stylized way of drawing him here.

Liv winking. And leaning on something invisible. Another sorta style.

Just a quick thing of Liv in profile, with a haircut, rather upset. Maybe because of the haircut.

So... yeah! Now that I have the basic design down (Neel is next) I'll start doing actual graphics. This is cool. I've never done character art before.

Thanks, dudes! ^.^ I'm addicted to drawing Liv, apparently without his shirt. I can't color these yet, because I haven't got photoshop at home, buuut I will soon, or try GIMP or something.

Anyway, here's Liv rather worried, probably just after Roman has taken a glance at his terminal.

Now he is angry.

Being badass, perhaps in a training exercise, and showing off his usual outfit, which involves nice shirts and vests.

Surfing. Apparently he likes that. Also, his pose indicates he's about to fall over. My drawing mistake or an intentional humorous addition? I think we all know the answer to that, but heyy...

Perch is worried.

LOL. Matthew Goode (not a character), and I cropped that from a NY Times Magazine interview. Wonders of photoshop, eh? I'm trying to stick with drawing on this board, though I have a photoshop gallery here if anyone cares.

OKAY! So this is only somewhat-less-than-half-mine, in the neverending quest to get a proper drawing of Liv. Damn, he's hard to draw (I will keep trying in upcoming days--also, watch for Alesku). I love how Liv looks completely different in each picture I or anyone else draws of him... I'll get it someday.

Therefore, my awesome friend Alena, perhaps inspired by my forty straight minutes of rapturous exclamations over RotE, tried her hand at drawing him.

LOL I don't know Watchmen, but Alena is a big fan, so maybe there was some inspiration going on. Thanks for the compliments, it's all her. I'll pass it on.

I like it. I don't see the resemblence at all, but I guess that's a picky artist thing? >_> I never see resemblances unless someone's copied/trances. P: I also know ( from personal experiance) being told that " 8D your guy looks like so-and-so" is bloody annoying and eye-twitchy XD It's not flattering.

I like the colour you made the lines so they didn't stick out when you coloured! And that's a nice job on the shading! >_< Shading is a b*tch sometimes.

Edit: Sam. XDDDDDDD That's awesome. Jae is the next mona lisa.

Wasn't really trying to be offensive, there's not much of a resemblance really, the red hair and the freckles reminded me of him XD. Could have said Liv looked like Annie even because of that hehe.

Which may be more accurate. =P
