Physical appearance
Height: 161 centimeters
Figure: Slim, slightly underdeveloped. She has feminine hips and chest, but only as much as not to bother her while fighting, maybe even less than that. Her shoulders are narrow, but she has a very graceful figure, much like her brother carrying a refined elegance of a noble that she is.
Hair: Deep, smooth, silky black curtain that reaches to the middle of her back, and frames her face. She has long bangs that are often brushed aside and her hair is straight, usually worn untied, with a few wisps flicked over her shoulders and falling by her face, or tied back with a pair of silver hairpins.
Skin color: Porcelain pale, smooth, and nearly colorless.
Eye color: A deep, dark purple, fading into midnight blue on the outer edge of her irises.
Facial features: Soft, only somewhat childish, and youthful, Hatsune has large eyes with long, thick lashes, much like her brother, and a softly rounded face, small nose and mouth with thin lips. She has tall cheekbones, but they aren't pronounced, and her chin isn't too sharp. Her features are soft and refined, and she has beautiful, expressive eyes. She resembles her brother quite a lot, even despite she isn't fond of that connection, and she has the same refined beauty about herself, though hers isn't as apparent as his, and she looks much more feral.
Distinguishing marks: As a noble, she was never allowed to get a tattoo or piercing.
Clothing: Usually garbed in the typical black Shihakusho of Adachi warriors, Hatsune holds onto the rules at that. Unlike Hisaki, she doesn't wear a haori, but she does wear the same white gloves as he does, only longer, reaching above her elbows. Only rarely does she wear a long-sleeved haori similar to that of her brother. Occasionally, she wears normal clothes, and when that happens, she rarely wears other colors than black and dark shades of blue, purple, or red. She likes dresses and elegant clothing, and much like Hisaki, she often wears a long coat with a scarf around her neck. She carries her sword behind the sash at her waist.

Personality
Some call Hatsune a pervert, some call her a psycho, some call her a weirdo. All three are right - there seems to be something seriously wrong about her. It's unknown whether she fakes it, or not, but a lot of people is scared of her.
She has a cold and detached personality much like her brother, but she appears dark and gloomy with something twisted at her mind most of her time rather than being serene and calm. She usually speaks in a monotone manner, and is very secretive, keeping to herself all her matters, and lets on very little of what is actually going on in her head.
She has a darkly mischievous side about herself, and enjoys playing pranks on her brother - putting worms into his tea, stealing his clothes, or adding hair dye into his shampoo. The truth is that Hatsune has very mixed emotions about Hisaki - on one side, she hates him more than she hates anything for always being cold and unfeeling towards her. She believes Hisaki has nothing but disappointment for her, and thus, tries to annoy him as much as possible to receive an emotional reaction from him. However, she cares for him and loves him at the same time - after all, he is her brother.
She can be sadistic and brutal, and enjoys fighting. She is a very ferocious, but cold-blooded fighter, and has a tendency to leave the battlefield in a very gruesome state. She actually enjoys violence and adrenaline, but doesn't pick fights without a reason. Surprisingly, as it contrasts with her gruesome nature, she is very intelligent.
However, she has a gentle side to her, even though it is buried deep inside herself.

Skills and combat abilities
Physical: Se possesses enhanced strength and physical performance both due to her training and heritage of dragon blood, and is capable of, despite having a rather refined build, lifting/pressing up to twice her weight. However, more impressive is her movement, as he can jump many times over his height, and can withstand feats that could be potentially threatening to a human.
She is highly durable and her endurance surpasses human levels a lot. She can survive blood loss or injuries that would be fatal to a human, though she is more fragile than her brother.
Her speed is close to Hisaki's, though even despite being faster than the eye can track, she can not surpass him yet. Even then, her skill in it is impressive, and she can use it as a rather deadly advantage to herself in combat.
Her main strength is her capability in martial arts. She is a master in unarmed combat and can take on a large number of armed forces without any trouble. Her skill is fabled, and she has even invented a number of her own techniques.
Her swordsmanship skills may not be as excellent, but they are still beyond the skills of 'ordinary mortals' - after all, only due to her experience, she is a highly skilled fighter. She has some skill with ranged weapons, too, and is known to keep throwing knives on herself at all times.
Magic: Like all Adachis, she possesses the power to see and communicate with ghosts. Her high levels of spiritual energy, though not as high as to require constant concealment of over 70% of her power, make a quite an intimidating opponent. She has an excellent knowledge of spells, and can use highly advanced barriers that allow her to shield herself and others from deadly forces and even magic, or penetrate solid objects in combination with her other abilities. She has some skill even in healing spells.
She possesses a rather rare psionic ability (as the Adachis are originally Aedolian/Adelan, psionics sometimes do occur in their bloodline) - tier 4 Precognition. Her visions are quite rare, not more than once a week and sometimes none occurs even in two or three months, but they are highly accurate and tend to be rather complex.
Another ability, which, however, is connected to her sword rather than being a natural ability, is the skill to travel through shadows. She is capable of jumping into a shadow and appearing in any other shadow that is in her view in a distance up to three kilometers. There is no limit to the times this ability is used, however, the shadow must be big enough for her entire body to pass through as if it was a hole in space. She is, though, capable of pushing only the blade of her katana through smaller shadows. The process is practically immediate.

Hatsune's soul-cutter is called New Moon, and is, rather surprisingly, pure white, as opposed to the abilities it possesses. It has a slightly curved blade and a circular tsuba, with a white ribbon coming out of the hilt. When she is utilizing her shadow abilities, the sword suddenly becomes entirely black.

Backstory
Childhood: Being the younger child and a girl just as well, Hatsune received little attention during her childhood. Yorikane and Sayoko were focusing on Hisaki rather than her, and she wasn't noticed much by her brother, either. They started paying attention to her more when she first displayed precognition. A few days before Hisaki's attempted runaway, she came to their room and told them that she had a bad dream, and her brother is running away. They didn't think much of it, however, when Hisaki really did run away, they started paying closer attention to it.
Teenage years: She wasn't a rebellious child, and was rather quiet, but grew jealous of her brother, his fast progress in fighting and spells simply making her, who wasn't as skilled, angry all the time. She often argued and fought with him, but as he grew older, he grew tired of her, and started ignoring her instead, what frustrated her even more.
Adulthood: Hisaki's first wife was Hatsune's good friend, and she really liked the woman, despite being much like her brother. She often joined her on trips and generally followed her around like a shadow. Hoshiko was her favorite person in the whole world, and her greatest role-model.
After the death of their parents, she lost her hatred for Hisaki for some time, instead admiring him for his courage and strength when he protected her and Hoshiko. However, that all changed at Hoshiko's death. Hatsune blamed Hisaki for it, and never forgave him for letting her die. She grew cold towards him, and since then did her best to make his life miserable, despite being promoted to his Second-in-command.
Surprisingly, she didn't hate Kiyome, and found similar love for her as she did for Hoshiko, though with less admiration and more friendship. She wished her to be happy, even though that would make her brother happy, too, and that was one of the few times when she was truly selfless. However, Kiyome died shortly after, too, and Hatsune was once again all alone on the board of Shiroisiakura. This time, she couldn't blame anything on Hisaki - but she could still hate him. And she did!
