"For honor and pride? Anything."

Warning: Violence in backstory.

Name: (Captain) Hisaki Daisan no Shiroi Hana Adachi (Head of the Adachi clan)
Nicknames: (sarcastically by his sister) Your Majesty
Gender: Male
Age: 481, appears 25 - 30
Birthday: 11th January
Nationality: None
Race: Dragon-blood
Relationship status: Widowed (twice)
Residence: Shiroisakura, the residence of the entire Adachi clan
Occupation: Captain of Shiroisakura and head of the Adachi clan, Spirit Hunter
Religion: Atheist

Physical appearance
Height: 189 centimeters
Figure: Slender, lean and lithe, elegant, with thin waist, slightly narrow shoulders and the graceful build of a warrior of his position. He is tall, but while lacking pronounced muscles, and not being built intimidatingly, he has a noble grace and elegance about himself, what only supports his very refined appearance.
Hair: Smooth, silky deep black, mostly straight. It reaches under his shoulders and softly lines his face, with long bangs that fall into it, often shadowing one part of his face. It is usually worn untied, simply cascading onto his shoulders, or with a few strands pinned in a silver ornament on the back of his head during formal occasions.
Skin color: Porcelain pale, smooth, and nearly colorless.
Eye color: Dusky slate grey, very cold, with a circle of even colder twilight blue around his irises like crystals of ice.
Facial features: Hisaki has graceful, almost androgynous, but straight and sharp features, giving him a refined and elegant appearance, but expressing his calm coldness. A slightly long face with a pointed chin and thin nose, tall cheekbones under a pair of a slightly narrow, but rather large and mesmerizing almond-shaped eyes that are lined by thick black lashes, a mouth with softly shaped thin lips, and even though his features are a tad too sharp to be called soft, they have a young appearance. He is considered very attractive (and it would be a lie to say otherwise).
Distinguishing marks: He has no piercings and tattoos, as he considers them unnatural and ugly. Due to his dragon heritage, he has slightly pointed teeth, but it is only apparent when he opens his mouth wide. There is a thin scar under his ribs, but that is rarely visible unless someone distinctly searches for it.
Clothing: Even after centuries, Hisaki keeps traditions, like most of the clan he leads, and wears the traditional clothing of the Adachi warriors - a wide black robe worn with white clothes underneath, and tied by a white sash at his waist. The design of the robe (called Shihakusho) is rather simple, with wide sleeves reaching below his elbows, and a wide hakama at the bottom. Its color is entirely black and lacking any ornaments, made from a quite sturdy fabric to withstand combat. Over that robe, he wears a sleeveless white haori with a high collar, lined by a thin silver stripe on the edge, and reaching under his knees. It is a simple, but luxurious piece of clothing, and a family heirloom a few centuries old (and worth more than most people will ever earn in several lifetimes due to that). He wears white socks with his sandals, and avoids wearing any jewelry or complicated clothing, only replacing his haori with a white drape connected by a silver chain on very important formal occasions. The only other clothes he is often seen with is a pair of gloves, covering just the backs of his hands, and reaching to the middle of his forearms. On very few occasions he does replace the traditional robes with a very exquisite suit, tailored to fit him exactly, and a long, thick black coat with a high collar and silver buttons. He carries his soul-cutting katana, Blood-red Blossom, sheathed and behind the sash at his waist.

Personality
Noble, refined, and acting in a rather collected and aristocratic manner, Hisaki represents his family and its virtues both in public and private. He always seems serene and apathetic towards other people, even while actually deeply conflicted, and retains his composure and calmness even in rather complicated situations, such as in battle. He expresses his emotions so little that most people consider him almost completely heartless, and he does nothing to prove that false, as he generally acts indifferent, bordering on the verge of arrogance, to most situations he is faced with, and rarely views his opponent as being worth his time.
He is very proud, and is willing to go to insane lengths to protect his pride and honor - fight for it, kill for it, die for it, almost anything, and when insulted, he may take the insult calmly, but the consequences for whoever dared to do so will be truly awful.
However, he is very intelligent and perceptive, fully aware of the limits of his abilities, and anything he states in comparison to an opponent is usually justified. He does not make harsh threats or claims, and most things he usually says about the extent of his abilities are fully justified. He feels no need to boast, as he is confident with his own abilities and does not consider praising himself necessary. Anyone who does doubt them will feel them.
He has strong morals, which he respects greatly, and would rather take his life than going against one of his main moral principles, such as not killing the innocent, but believes in law and order rather strongly, and will never hesitate to punish anyone who breaks it - even his family or his own self, and he works very hard to keep that peace and order.
Despite the icy and regal manners he displays rather often, he does actually care about those close to him, and will go to great lengths to protect them. He takes care of the members of his family when needed, and would never betray them, what is also one of the core principles of his life. He has a very strong will, which allows him to keep these strong, and quite stern principles on all occasions.
In battle, he is notably calm and cold-blooded, at least on first sight, as he usually hides his emotions and appears calm and collected even if conflicted and angry in reality, as he used to be by nature quite hot-headed and very quick to anger. He simply shows this rage in a different way - through disdain, rather than open assault.
However, his coldness often drives other members of his family, like his sister, angry, as they consider the fact no emotional response ever comes from that man unnerving. He is also rather stern, and expects everyone else to live up to his expectations. When they do not, he becomes disappointed, and even though not letting that show obviously, he will not treat someone who has disappointed him with too much respect, only required politeness. He also seems to completely lack any sense of humor.
He is very clever, with a quick and sharp tactical mind, and knows exceptionally well how to use this intellect, which, in combination with his extraordinary acting skills and self-control, proves as a deadly weapon to him. Along with his refined manners, it creates a very good impression about him. He tries his best to be an example to others, and as he is a warrior by heart and soul, his high standards and expectations, he naturally expects them to give their best just as he does.
In his free time, he likes to paint, and has painted cherry blossoms all across the doors of his wardrobes. His skill in art is highly thought of.

Skills and combat abilities
Physical: He possesses enhanced strength and physical performance both due to his training and heritage of dragon blood, and is capable of, despite having a rather refined build, lifting/pressing up to twice his weight. However, more impressive is his movement, as he can jump many times over his height, and can withstand feats that could be potentially threatening to a human.
He is also highly durable and his endurance seems to surpass many levels beyond human. He can take heavy damage done even to his internal organs, heavy bleeding, or fractures, and even heal from injuries such as being sliced in two except for his spine without consequences. He continues fighting even after being severely injured, and appears unfazed by his wounds in most cases, what is only testament to the strength of his will.
His true strength lies in his speed. He is capable of moving so fast it is practically impossible to track his movement by sight. He uses this as a deadly advantage in combination with other battle techniques, and is well-renowned for his speed in combat. He is thought to be one of the fastest leaders of the Adachi house thorugh generations.
He is a master of martial arts, and while that is not his particular field of highest expertise, he can hold his own in an unarmed fight quite effectively. He rather prefers to utilize it in combination with other techniques.
What his true strength in combat methods is is swordsmanship. He is an excellent sword-wielder, and his skills include highly complicated techniques that take years to master, while having incredible finesse and a flawless precision at whatever combat technique he is using.
He has some skill using ranged weapons such as bows, but despises guns and shields. He finds them unrefined, and completely avoids any use of them.
Magic: As a typical Adachi, he possesses the skill to see and communicate with ghosts and spirits. The levels of his spiritual energy are, quite frankly, monstrous, and he has to permanently conceal them in order not to devastate his surroundings. He is one of the heads of the house with the highest levels of spiritual power. Few, if any, have been born with a power like his, and he surpasses even his ancestor after whom he received the title Shiroi Hana, White Blossom.
He possesses significant skill considering spells, but his focus is on offensive and binding spells, rather than healing, of which he completely lacks knowledge. Mostly, he does not require the incantation to release a highly destructive spell.
Weapon of choice: Katana

Blood-red Blossom, the sword Hisaki wields, has been passed onto him as the third owner of this magnificent weapon, as it formerly belonged to Seiki Naohiro Adachi, his ancient ancestor, and the prize of the blade alone is thought as higher than Shiroisakura itself. It is a slightly curved blade, with a vaguely flame-like pattern along the blade, and a hollow rectangular tsuba crafted from a dark metal. Its hilt is wrapped in black, with a silver surface underneath, and it has a dark metallic spherical bell on a short chain hanging off the hilt, connected to a black ribbon. This chain can be used to spin Blood-red Blossom and extend its range.

Strengths in combat: Very high spiritual power, very good offense, high speed and endurance, good swordsmanship and martial arts skills, good knowledge of spells
Weaknesses in combat: Lacking defense and no skill with guns and range weapons, his spiritual energy requires constant concealment, vulnerability to magic

Occupation and relationships
Parents: Yorikane Adachi, father, and Sayoko Adachi, mother, both deceased
Siblings: Hatsune Adachi, younger sister, still alive and rather busy driving Hisaki crazy with her antics
Other living relatives: The entire Adachi clan, a rather big noble family
Partner and children: Hoshiko Adachi, first wife, deceased, and Kiyome Adachi, second wife, also deceased
Friends: No one can be really considered his friend
Pets: None
Occupation: Captain of Shiroisakura, Head of the Adachi Clan, Spirit-hunter
Education: Excellent. Not only does he have a great knowledge about what a warrior is supposed to know, but also about a lot of other subjects. He is capable of taking control over Shiroisakura and piloting the ship for a short time period, even.
Residence: Shiroisakura, the White Cherry Tree, an exquisite spaceship providing home to the entire Adachi clan.

Backstory
Childhood: Since his birth as the first son of Sayoko Adachi, the current wife of the head of the Adachi clan, Hisaki was predestined to become the next head of the house. By that, he would be the first leader of the Adachi clan, born in the premises of their new residence, the Shiroisakura spaceship. He was treated almost royally practically since birth, and he received training in the art of war since he was able to speak and walk. In his youth, he was rather hot-headed, and hated that he was never allowed to fight with real weapons, although he put a rather big deal of determination into his training. His incredibly high spiritual presence started showing when he was 7, and caused him numerous complications, as he, while just a child, didn't know much how to control it. However, he did his best to meet the expectations of himself and his parents.
Teenage years: His younger sister Hatsune was born while he was a teenager, and wasn't too comfortable about the thought of having a sister. The conflict between him, ever eager to fight spirits and change something about the situation of the Adachi clan, now exiled from their home planet, and his parents who had much more understanding about it. Once after an argument, he attempted to steal his father's sword and took over one of the small personal spaceship the main ship keeps, but wasn't aware that its fuel tank wasn't refilled for a long time, and got trapped in interstellar space for a few hours. Only after his father managed to locate the smaller ship and retrieve it, he finally understood why it is important to obey orders, and cooled his hot temper down a little.
Adulthood: He continued his training, finally coming in control of his immense spiritual power, and displayed extremely fast progress regarding learning fighting skills. He came to please his parents greatly with his progress, and was accepted as a warrior at the extremely early age of 31 - one of the earliest ages in the history of the house. His temperament gradually cooled down, and he became a role-model heir, often helping his father with important work.
At the age of 127, he married Hoshiko, his first wife, but rather due to political reasons than love. It was a very cold and emotionless marriage, and over the 54 years it lasted, they failed to produce an heir.
However, when he was 143, an accident happened while the ship resided in the docks on Cancer for maintenance. A Grand spirit, an exceptionally powerful kind of a malevolent ghost, attacked them. Yorikane and Sayoko naturally attempted to dispatch it, however, it surprised them in the worst possible time. The fight was extremely gruesome and brutal, and not only several other Spirit-hunters have been killed, but even the Head of the clan and his wife sustained injuries that would eventually become fatal. Hisaki was given the duty to protect Hatsune and Hoshiko, but upon seeing his mother being picked up by the spirit and having her body slowly ripped by it, he disobeyed, and attacked it himself in an attempt to save his parents. However, he was still too young and inexperienced. His soul-cutter was shattered, and his father pushed him back to escape, and preserve his life to become the next leader of the house instead of dying there. He didn't obey again, and instead ran to retrieve the most potent weapon he knew of - the Blood-red Blossom, even though he knew it was a great risk, as the sword did not obey everyone, and only two people so far (including its first owner, Seiki) were capable of controlling it. To the surprise of all the present (and living) people, the sword did indeed release its full capability, and Hisaki did indeed defeat the spirit, even though sustaining heavy injuries in the process, and almost having his stomach ripped out.
Neither of his parents survived the encounter, and the young Hisaki himself only narrowly escaped death. He became the next Head of the clan at a young age, but fulfilled that duty rather well.
Hoshiko was a Spirit-hunter, too, and on one fateful night, she was attacked by a spirit she was unable to defeat. By the time Hisaki arrived, she was dying. He quickly dispatched the spirit, but could not save his wife just like he could not save his mother and father a long, long time ago. She apologized to him for not being able to love him like he deserved, and he expressed a similar emotion shortly before her death. Unfortunately, that was the extent of their relationship. Even despite the lack of love, there has always been respect between them, and Hisaki grieved honestly from the depths of his heart after her passing, as she was an excellent combat partner.
Twenty nine years after Hoshiko's death, Hisaki met Kiyome, who was not a suitable partner due to her being neither a warrior, nor nobility, but he went against the tradition and rules, and married her. She was the woman who got his heart, and he sincerely loved her, even despite the disapproval of other family members.
However, Kiyome was not able to give Hisaki an heir, either. That did not in any way diminish his love for her, though, and she was his first apprentice, and the only one he ever could open up to. Their marriage was a happy one.
Twenty two years after their wedding, Kiyome passed away due to an illness, rather unexpectedly. Hisaki grieved, not like for a combat partner as it was after Hoshiko's death, but he was completely devastated, and he was unable to recover from her death for a time, devoting himself to his work and emotionally detaching himself from all the people in his life. He set it his goal to protect those around him, and become the best at being a Spirit-hunter and warrior as he just could, as well as taking care of Hatsune and protecting her.
