Physical Description

Host - V's current host body is of a Edanith male civilian. 5'8" in height, and quite brawny in build, though he is beginning to look as if he's starving. Blonde hair is cut short and a bit of stubble is beginning to form on his chin from a few days of not shaving. His clothing is covered in red dust from wandering the frontier, the colours and patterns barely recognizable through the layer of filth. The callouses on his hands show him as a working man.

V - V is a bipedal, though his limbs are elongated compared with his torso. His thinness would give one the impression that he's starving, and while Syntherians are already relatively scrawny in comparison to a human, V is starving. V's eyes seem all black, as the pupil is in a constant state of dilation, evolved from a primarily nocturnal life. If needed, he has a second eyelid that acts as a light filter for daytime travel. However, the most startling thing about V is his fingers, or what stand in for them. The actual fingers are small stubs that barely protrude from the palm, however the claws that extend from them are incredibly long, designed for nimble precision, and vicious attacks. V's skin is a deep blue, faintly shimmering and glowing in the dark.

Personality

Syntherians are seen as unemotional, even by the most stoic of people. They just aren't born with high emotional capacity. The do feel some semblance of emotions, but not nearly as strong as many sapient species. To see a Syntherian smile is almost unheard of. V is no exception to this, and is often comes across as detached. This stoic nature is lessened when a Syntherian is merged with a host, as their minds become connected. The first host connection can be overwhelming, and it is not unusual to see them break down and cry. Generally, V is a calm hunter, caring little about other species unless he requires a host, or if they impede his progress.

However, as mentioned before, V is starving, and not in a perfect state of mind. He's become more prone to lash out and attack those he comes in contact with. And without anyone to watch and ensure that the merge and separation are done carefully, his claiming a host kills the one he merges with. As Syntherians are selective with their hosts, many people may die before V finds one he is willing to keep.

Magic/Abilities

Other than their merging capabilities and physical prowess, Sytherians have few unnatural abilities or powers. Some may develop a weak form of telepathy between close individuals. V cannot.

Relationships

None

History

V lived peacefully in the Vulfuhre system, on his home planet of Cahallan. His job was a "Runner", collecting exotic animals and plants to be traded with the neighbouring planet. It was a simple life, and V found enjoyment in the freedom it gave him. However, unbeknownst to the Syntherians, their star had begun to die, preparing to go supernova. Their neighbours had seen this, and fled the system, without warning or offering assistance to Cahallan. The Syntherians hadn't thought to travel into space, other than to trade, being quite content with their home, and had very few ships in which to evacuate. V managed to make it on to one with a small group, leaving any family he had behind.

The ship had been fully stocked before leaving, but trading ships were never meant to travel so far, losing thruster power between systems. As days turned into months, the rations began to dwindle. Hunger began to set into the crew, and tensions began to run high. Eventually, violence broke out between them as their carnivorous instincts set in. In the end, V was smarter. Stronger. He survived long enough to drift into a pirate cruiser. They planned to take apart the ship and use it for spare parts. They didn't expect the alien life-form to attack their squad, merge with the one survivor, and learn about them from the memories kept in the mind.

As such, V infiltrated the ship. He was discovered after a short time, as people began to turn up dead rapidly as he began host hopping. As the pirates attacked, and he fought back, the ship was damaged, crashing into Edanith. Hiding inside a wounded pirate, V waited until a curious community of frontier colonists, taking control of his current host. Learning that there was a city somewhere on the planet, he collected as much as he could from the wreck, and headed out to find it.
