Clash of the Titans (For Choco-licious)
« on: June 18, 2008, 08:05:15 pm »
Hate. Hatehatehatehate. Devi hoped that the monster could feel her hatred where ever he was. Bad enough the bastard had to carve his name on her, but he had to pick a really, really, really annoying spot to make her show off. The uniforms were just not made for it.

Papers were scattered around her, various sketches of the uniform and ways she could modify them filling the pages. She wanted to keep the uniform still looking, well, like a uniform. And that was quite hard. Though she had finally worked out one way.

And was now trying to put it together. Devi wasn't bad with clothes, though she was a little rusty at it and this was not and easy project. She stabbed the needle back into the cloth, sending more dark thoughts to her mentor.

Though, honestly, her thoughts were a bit conflicted currently on that subject. She really didn't know how she felt about the monster. He was scary and not that nice, but there was...something about him. Devi didn't like him, not by any stretch of the imagination. But she did respect him. And she didn't hate him. Well, right now she kind of did. But in a more general way, she didn't hate him. It was odd.

Though this whole thing was fucked up. And she still hadn't met her room mate yet. Who was a giant bitch it seemed. She hadn't even met her and the gorgon cow was harping at her over the computer.

Hatehatehatehatehatehatehatehatehatehatehatehatehate. Chica wished that that prick Roman could feel her hatred. He couldn’t, of course. Not unless he was stalking her or something, but somehow she just didn’t feel important enough. Hell, her own mentor hadn’t shown his grimy face yet. Just lucky too, she was ready to vent and psychic or no he’d be getting the sharp side of her tongue. She’d been hoping for a girl too. Girls were easier to handle. But instead she was stuck with Darien, whoever he was. Stupid name.

She slid along the corridors outside the living quarters which housed the candidates, as well as the various military personnel who trained at the ATC, her large duffel slung over one shoulder. Everything she owned was in that bag, which was quite pathetic really.

If her tail and her air weren’t enough, the scowl on Chica’s face made anyone coming the opposite way give her wide berth, even those who appeared to be authority figures. Even if you were a general, you don’t want to go against an angry candidate. They tended to pop and go all telekinetic.

Her muscular tail moved in wide sweeps, pushing her forward at a comfortable pace, making her hips sway in a way that Chica thought was just downright sexy. Not that she was trying to be at the moment, it was just how she moved. Her drab grey candidates uniform wasn’t exactly becoming either.

How could they do this? Sticking her with some no name loser while Alaina got to share with Vaughan. That whore. That goddamn little whore. If there was ever going to be an ‘accident’ with her goggles coming off, she was going to be staring right at Alaina when it happened. She’d look much better as a statue anyway, chisel off her face and she might even go well in a hotel foyer or something.

She passed the room in which, if she had her room numbers right, Arrow and Phenyo would be in, then a little ways down came to a nondescript door with her room number on it. Glancing a little further down she let out a disgruntled snort. Down there, where the female rooms stopped and the male began, was Vaughan’s room. The room where that ugly harlot would be sleeping, feet from Vaughan, probably dreaming about him…

Yeah, that’s the only place she’ll ever get any, in her dreams.

Another snort later she pushed the button to slide the door open and slowly wound her way inside.

Completely ignoring her room mate, or rather, the bitch who was in her room, Chica dumped her bag on the unoccupied bed. She glanced about the room. Two beds, one on either wall, flanked the room. Each had a bedside table and a series of drawers that would pull out so they were over the bed. What looked like a cupboard door was at the head of each bed, so you’d have to stand on your bed to get at it. A door between the two beds, directly opposite the entry, led into a small bathroom. She grunted. It was tiny; everything designed to fold away and save space. Her room at home was about the same size, but she hadn’t had to share.

Her eyes locked onto Devi, as did those of her hair. She had no idea if the girl had said anything, and frankly she didn’t care. “Look you,” she snarled, voice dripping with malice, “I don’t share well, so here’s the deal. This is my room. While I’m here, you will be silent, you will be out of my way. You will be furniture. I’ll try to avoid being here at all costs, but when I am, I’m god.” As she spoke she slowly slid towards Devi, making sure she made herself tall enough to loom over her. “Now, if you do that, we shouldn’t have any problems, otherwise, the pilots might have a pretty new statue for one of the courtyards.” She scowled and her hair hissed angrily, a few mouths opening to show pointy fangs.

She was bigger.

She was stronger.

She had bite.

She was going to get her way, even if it meant bloodying this little bitch up a little.

The candidate had jumped slightly as the other candidate stormed into the room. She had done her best to try and smile at her, wanting to get off on the right foot. Tail. Whatever. But the smile froze in place as the gorgon started to speak.

Devi was used to seeing strange creatures, having grown up in a melting pot of races, but the snake girl was a new one. And apparently as much of a raging bitch offline as she was online. And Devi wasn't one to take shit like that sitting down.

The girl carefully set her sewing to the side, a white bandage visible on her shoulder, covering most of it, "Listen. Bitch. This is not your room. This is our room. We have to share it."

Her eyes narrowed, the color a dark purple. Devi was used to sharing spaces and she would rather make things work with Chica then not. But she wasn't going to roll over for her. The candidate was on her feet in a smooth motion, body relaxed so she could move quickly. She had grown up in gangs and was more then ready for a fight.

"You don't fucking scare me and you don't get to fucking bully me." One finger jabbed out, poking the girl in the chest. Devi had little patience for this. She couldn't talk back or fight back when the monster hurt her. But she could with Chica and she was going to use that, "We can try this again and play nice or I can beat that pretty face of yours until it matches your personality. Your choice."

Devi might be smaller and lack the bite of the gorgon, but she was confident in her fighting ability and she was strong. She could do either option. It was up to the other girl. And if there was a fight, Devi wasn't afraid to fight dirty to even up the score. Something about a blunt object to the face tended to slow even much larger opponents.

From the moment Devi opened her mouth, Chica saw red. Well, orange technically. She always saw orange, with her goggles on. The point was she was pissed. Not only had the little whore talked when she should have been silent, she’s called Chica a bitch.

How dare she?

Despite the bubbling anger rising in her gut, Chica smiled sweetly at Devi. “Devi,” she said pleasantly, “I’m sorry about that. It’s been a hard few days, and I’m just a little on edge. I do hope we can be friends.” Still grinning, she clapped her new ‘friend’ on the shoulder. The shoulder that she’d noticed was wrapped in bandage. She slapped it hard, and dug in her nails.

Her right hand balled into a fist and swung around towards the side of Devi’s head. She put all of her strength into it. The first punch was the most important one, after all. While she did, her hair acted on its own, lunging forward at a snakes incredible striking speed to bit Devi wherever they could. They didn’t have any venom, but they still hurt like hell.

She pushed her whole body forward, hoping to use her sheer bulk to topple the other candidate.

Devi gave a hissing gasp at the slap of her shoulder. The wound wasn't that bad, but it was still tender and the snake girls claws digging into it hurt like hell. Which made her slow to dodge the girls punch.

She managed to twist out of the way enough to not take the full impact of Chica's fist, though it still stung her cheek. There was going to be a bruise there later and it made her viosion dance for a moment.

Devi moved to the side, twisting her body out of the way of Chica's lunge. There was no way she could out power the girl, the snake bitch was much larger and was stronger then she was.

But Devi was fast and nimble. And no stranger to a fight, though she wasn't as used to fighting someone she didn't want to maim/kill. Her arm came up to protect her face from the snakes, giving a small cry as they bit into her arm. Please don't let them be poisonous!

Her knee came up slamming up toward Chica's stomach as the snake girl was moving forward, hoping to use her forward momentum against her.

Damn, this girl knew what she was doing. The extent of Chica’s fighting knowledge came from beating up schoolyard punks who laughed at her or called her names, which naturally very few did after the first couple of beatings. Sheer bulk and people’s fear of snakes usually freaked out whomever she was fighting enough to make them easy to take down. Devi however was not showing any signs that the snakes striking her arm were causing her anything more than a little discomfort.

Her face contorted as the knee caught her in the stomach, stopping her in her tracks. Chica let out a gasp as the air was pushed out of her. Reeling, she flailed out, her right hand finding Devi’s hair and grabbing hold of it. She yanked down and, with her free hand, aimed a punch for Devi’s face, still gasping slightly from being kneed.

Devi tried to dodge out of the way of Chica's grab, though she wasn't fast enough. The gorgon got a fistful of her long hair and swung another punch at her. That Devi was not going to be dodging.

And the snake girl was strong. The punch rocked the girl back, her nose spurting blood. Though it didn't feel broken. That was at least a good sign. Devi wiped the blood from her face, snarling at her room mate, "You bitch. You are going to pay for that one."

Devi stomped down hard on Chica's tail with her heavy combat boots as she reached up, hands grabbing the girls head, ignoring the snakes that were writhing and biting. Then she slammed the snakes head into the wall. Repeatedly if she could stun the snake girl enough to be able to do it again.

Sheer glee painted Chica’s face when her foe started to bleed. She might have even broken the girl’s nose. Oh, that would just be too perfect, for Devi’s pretty little face to be ruined like that.

Her jubilation was short lived, as the girl bounced back and stomped on Chica’s tail. While she was focusing on attacking with her upper body, Chica had neglected to keep her tail out of harms way, leaving it wide open to being stepped on. Her boot hit near the sensitive tip, making Chica yelp in pain. The feeling was not dissimilar to being kicked in the nuts.

She was brought back to reality as a pair of hands closed on her head, making her hair start biting at them frantically. The boot that was still digging into her tail made resisting difficult.

She felt her head slam into the wall, hitting on the left side of her face. The impact made her skull ring. Then it hit again, and again. After the third hit, she was having trouble seeing. She punched, feeling her fist hit the soft flesh that could only mean one thing.

Hah. Punched in the tit, bitch!

She pushed towards Devi, tackling her with her shoulder in an attempt to get the girl off her now throbbing tail. A warm trickle of blood ran down her left cheek from the head wound that, as head wounds tended to do, was gushing.

At the feeling of Chica punching her in the breast, Devi swore loudly, quickly releasing the girls head and clutching her abused tit, "Sonofabitch!" She could feels tears prick her eyes. That was a very sensitive place to get punched.

And it meant that she was too distracted to get out of Chica's way as the girl pushed her back. She stummbled, her lean form no match for Chica's mass and power. She went down hard, her shoulder cracking loudly against the edge of the bed.

But Devi kept a tight hold on Chica, twisting around to try and get on top of the snake. It was hard to get a grip on her hair, the blood coating the snakes. But Devi wasn't going to give up just yet.

Another snarl and she head butted the snake girl right in her nose.

Devi fell, giving Chica’s tail sweet release, and let go of her head. Unfortunately the girl grabbed her and brought Chica down on top of her. She landed hard, pulled down by Devi’s weight, her body on top of Devi’s.

Then the struggle began. Now that they were on the floor it became a game of who could get on top, and Chica had the advantage there. She used her weight to pin Devi, one hand planted on either shoulder, coiling her tail up onto the girl to add weight.

A solid head smacked her in the nose, snapping Chica’s head back and making blood gush from her nose.

“Bitch!” she howled through the stream of blood that was flowing over her mouth.

The tousle began, with each girl trying to get the advantage. Chica clawed at Devi, trying to find that injured shoulder again while her tail tried to wrap around the smaller girl to pin her in place.

And unfortunately, Devi was very much disadvantaged for this. Chica was bigger, stronger and that tail gave her a hell of a advantage. But that didn't mean Devi was giving up. Her head butt seemed to have thrown the girl off.

While Chica was yelling, Devi's arm was franticully searching for anything she could use as a weapon. Because she was very much out classed and her only hope was to get a weapon of some sort.

Her hand brushed over the scissors she had been using early, but she pushed those away. She didn't want to kill Chica or even seriously hurt her. She just wanted to even the playing field a bit.

She she searched, she did her best to kick her feet against Chica's tail. She screamed as Chica's nails found her shoulder and she turned her head, bitting down hard on the snake girls hand.

Ow!

Chica lurched when Devi bit her hand, making her head bang heavily into the bedside table. Her hand yanked away as a lamp hit the floor.

Angry red bite marks showed where Devi had bitten her, making her hand throb. She glared at her, formed that hand into a fist and started manically punching Devi’s head.

Her tail managed to hook around the girls legs and began to tighten, squeezing hard. Given time, it could break those legs.

Her hair kept biting, lunging at whatever was closest. The closest part of Devi was, at the moment, her chest, so an endless rain of snakebites attacked her breasts. Chica could barely see from the blood running over her left goggle, and what vision she had was blurry, the room seeming to shift around her, but she didn’t stop punching.

Devi was not in a good place. Not at all. Her legs were trapped and there was no way she was going to overpower that tail. And she couldn't really dodge the punches from the snake girl.

One hand did its best to protect her torso from the snake bites as the other one continued to desperately fumble for a weapon. And her fingers closed over the lamp. With a smooth motion, putting as much of her body as she could into the swing, Devi cracked the lamp against Chica's head.

She was winning, which of course made Chica happy. Unfortunately that glee, combined with her vision problems, meant she failed to notice her opponent grabbing the lamp that had fallen down.

A loud crack was all Chica heard before she tumbled off Devi. He head stung where the lamp hit her, and she could feel a number of her snakes were hurt as well. She rolled onto her back, gasping for breath and trying to focus. She was not going to be the one to come off worse here.

Devi didn't wait for Chica to recover. The moment the gorgons weight was off her, the girl rolled over, swinging the lamp into the girls head again. She wanted this fight over before it got much worse. And Chica didn't seem like she was going to be backing down.

"Fucking...give...up ...already!" Each word was broken up by another smack to the head with the lamp. Devi didn't want to kill Chica, but knocking her unconscious would be nice.

Chica’s attempts to stand up, or at least roll back onto Devi, were interrupted by being struck on the forehead by the lamp again. Hard.

“Ow!” she howled, grapping at Devi’s throat, “Fucking, ow, bitch. Stop hitting me you whore!” The lamp fell for a final time, and Chica slipped into blackness. Her body went limp, hands letting go of Devi and slumping to the floor.

When the gorgon released her throat, Devi dropped back gasping for air. She didn't move for a few moments, just lay on the floor panting as she stared at the ceiling.

Fuck.

That had been less then fun. Though Devi was feeling quite a bit more relaxed. Nothing better then a good fight to get all that frustration out. Well, besides good sex. But Devi wasn't really much in the mood for that.

Eventually she pulled herself up, wincing as she moved. That girl could hit hard. She was going to be sore tomorrow. Devi glanced around, looking for something to use to staunch the blood leaking from her nose. Stupid cow. It didn't feel broken and it had better not be or she was waking her up again with a boot to the face.

Though she did think about rummaging through Chica's stuff first. She wasn't going to get blood all over her shit if she didn't have too. It wasn't her fault her room mate was a bitch who liked to start fights. It didn't look very promising though.

With a sigh she headed into the bathroom, doing her best to clean off her face a little. A bit of toilet paper up her nose and she was ready. Hopefully. Steeling herself Devi returned to the other room, stopping in front of Chica.

"Fat cow." With another sigh, Devi reached down and gripped Chica by her tail, pulling it over her shoulder and began to drag the unconscious girl down the hallway and toward the medic.

The first thing Chica noticed when she came to was that the room looked weird. She blinked and sat up. Feeling oddly cold, Chica looked down and blushed when she realised that her uniform was gone, pulling the bed sheet up to her chest. Oh, right, the fight. Her clothes had probably gotten all bloody. How she’d gotten back to her room was an interesting yet pointless question that she really didn’t care to answer.

Rolling out of bed was, surprisingly, pain free. They really did go all out here in the ATC apparently, she didn’t even feel bruised, which was really, really good. A nice fight had calmed her down some, and she didn’t want to have to be reminded of it for the next two weeks.

The lamp which Devi had used to knock her down had been replaced, the blood smears on the wall cleaned off. The whole room looked new, other than her unmade bed.

She rummaged through her bag, which had been left on the floor, and pulled out a new uniform. As she pulled her shirt over her head, Chica realised what was wrong. Shit, her goggles! She looked about frantically for them, then felt stupid when she saw them sitting on her beside table. Once they were strapped back in place the world returned to it’s usual tint. Much better.

Now fully dressed in her shirt, jacket and poorly stitched handmade skirt, Chica busied herself with packing all of her things away, stowing her bag under her bed, and hanging her poster of Cory from IF on the cupboard door above the head of her bed.

She took a moment to sigh at the image of the blonde haired, tan scaled god that was Cory, standing with his bass guitar and looking right at her with eyes that said ‘I want to be in you’. The thought made her squirm with glee and let out a little giggle, which was a really strange sound coming from her.

Devi sighed, her head still a little sore as she made her way back to her room. Damn room mate packed one hell of a punch. Though, to be perfectly honest, Devi had actually enjoyed the fight, getting to cut loose like that. And hopefully that meant that she knocked whatever stick was up Chica's ass out.

Stepping into the room, she noticed that Chica was conscious finally. And....making some really weird noise that took Devi a moment to realize was a giggle. It wasn't that far from a normal one, Chica just really didn't seem like the giggling type.

She leaned against the door, warily watching the gorgon, "So, you done being a bitch? Because I would really much rather get along with you. I don't want to spend the next three years butting heads with you."

Pushing away from the door frame, Devi headed back to her bed, dropping down on it, "Besides, it will be much harder to throw bitchin' parties if you don't want to help. And I think that after those punches of yours, I want some fuckin' beer."

Cory looked so damn hot in his unbuttoned shirt, hair all messy and cool. His firm looking tail, that muscular chest, piercing blue eyes, it all drove her wild. Maybe now that Vaughan was a candidate Cory would visit. The thought made her stomach feel all fluttery. Chica would o anything Cory asked. Anything.

Devi’s voice cut through her imaginings, making Chica jolt with fright and her dace darken. When Chica blushed there was no subtlety to it, because even if her face didn’t get too red, her hair all flushed at the same time. She leaned back, using her flexibility to hang upside down and look at Devi. Not wanting to admit that she’d been a total bitch, Chica just watched her, dropping down onto the floor and turning her head back around so she was just looking at Devi normally.

She didn’t sit, but lowered herself down so she was on a sitting level. “Yeah, I was thinking of throwing a party actually. It’d be fun to watch people get pissed and make fools of themselves. And…you hit pretty good yourself…uh…Devi.” She scratched the back of her neck uncomfortably, the looked at her hand when a large piece of skin came away. Looked like it was that time again.

Once every few months Chica shed all of her skin and was fresh and pretty for about a week. It was the perfect time to have a party actually, since she’d be looking her best, all shiny and pretty.

“Ok, so we have a party. How about the night before our next free day? That way we can sleep it off the next day and not get in shitloads of trouble.”
