Physical Description

Just google "C.C. Code Geass".  Bam.  There you go.  CC, Cain,  Looks just like that.  It wasn't intended at first, but as I had Cain's appearance come to mind I realized it looked similar to CC from one of the most epic anime's ever.  Then,  Her name was Cynthia Ciel... "C" and "C" so I just copy'pasta'd.

The difference however;  Is she has cyan-blue eyes and black hair.

She has "The Mark of Cain", which you'll see later on.  The Mark of Cain is a complex special tattoo that was to be used to control The Escapist, who was a Reaper.  The Reaper had suffered incredible damage and had been dormant in a Spirit Form sealed away before it could come back.
Thus the Cain Project was made,  to seal the Reaper into a body controlled by a complex network of Nanites to do their bidding...
They were in for a shock when the Unlucky Seven merged with the Mark of Cain, and the Nanites just became another tool for the Escapist to use.
The Mark of Cain is located in the small of Cain's back.  It appears to be merged with the Unlucky Seven, which lays over it, its marking seemingly fused to the Mark of Cain.

Personality
Cynthia has two personalities....
Firstly; The sly, sneakiness, and disdain for Government is brought on the the Escapist.
Cynthia is a sly, sneaky, and scheming girl who plans, plots, and calculates. She enjoys stealing, and learning new facts. She's very inquisitive and curious by nature. She hates being forced into social standards. She may seem heavily anarchic, and generally hates everyone in power and the way they go about ruling.
She has strong ideal's on what leadership should be, how things should work. However; She rarely shows these herself unless pushed into leadership. She believes leaders should, and any REAL leader does. Anyone else is just a worthless sham.
At heart, she's quiet and thinks about what she says before she says it. She considers all sides to an argument before picking her own side to approve of... approve of meaning she'd never fight for anything unless pushed to.
She's seems rather lazy sometimes, but that is just her indifference. She's passive, and generally doesn't think much of anything is worth her time.

Secondly; This aspect is remnants of the unenlightened self that developed until the age of 18, when the eternal spirit of the Escapist merged with her soul.
This side of her is highly illogical and makes Cain cringe to remember her despicable behavior.
Generally when around males or anyone she likes, Cynthia becomes shy, quiet, and rather submissive. This isn't due to typical teenage girl crush-like sensation, unless its someone she does actually like. But because of inner deeply ingrained fear. Fear that has been with her since a little girl.
She is withdrawn, timid, and may seem impatient in this state. Her thoughts are rather jumbled and she seems to skip around a lot as she hurries to get on, or say the right thing.

Naturally, Cain also shares the same traits as other Reavers.
"Soul Reavers are notorious for their immortality. Stab them, burn them, impale them ... and they will live. Speedy metabolism not only kicks off food digestion but provides almost instantaneous healing. Limbs cannot be regrown, but if the original is found and placed against the stump, it will reattach. Their high metabolism also means that it is almost impossible for them to get drunk off of alcohol (though many have bypassed this problem by creating their own mixes, usually containing poisons such as cyanide). All of the species can teleport from one planet, or realm, to the next - but only if they have a clear mental image of their destination, or they will be inadvertently sent to between: a cold, dismal, black place which is neither here no there and has made many a Reaver go mad because it will numb their senses, their minds ... They can telepath with one another no matter the distance, a secretive form of communication. All Reavers can reave, or devour, the souls of the living (and undead). This act replenishes lost energy at the cost of completely, permanently destroying the victim."

Relationships

History
(which is completely optional for anyone to read *shrug*)

Cynthia was daughter to a royal family of a country to the far east of Shinrei on the planet of Haven.
It was dominated by tall mountains that made travel on foot all but impossible. Cities were built into mountain sides, or built in the sky as giant flying cities. Often, it was a combination of the two. Flight technology only aiding in the support of the cities that were anchored to tall, spire like mountain sides.
As a result, most cities scaled Up and Down rather then side to side on a flat plane.
The cities naturally had many "layers" within them and often designated social status, richer being higher while the poorer being lower.
The citizens typically never want for Sky, the layer's being roofed over with holographic generators that lace the sky to create images of blue sky and even moving, tangible clouds (Tactile sensation applied using ambient wave generators, applying varying force and signals to stimulate various sensations, such as moisture)
The Country had many smaller cities that floated around Major cities that grew food products to support themselves and the bigger cities.
The country; whos yet to be mentioned name is Taiyke ("Tie"-"Key"); had a predominately Oriental culture and design to it.

This is where Cynthia grew up. She grew up as the daughter to the countries "Toshun", a word similar and even deriving origin from the word "Shogun". As such, she grew up wealthy and never wanting for anything; mostly because she literally didn't want for anything.
She hated the tight, restricted schedules forced on her by her father and the silly not-witted laws he came up with and forced on everyone else. She hated that she couldn't go anywhere, or do anything even in her free time without being tailed by her units of her father's personal guard.
She saw only suffering in the lower classes, The lower levels not even having working Sky Generators in many occasions, or when they did they were faulty and often caused man-made disasters within the level called "Flux Points", Flux Points being areas where the Sky Generator's systems malfunction and generate anomalies varying from heavy illusions, to small distortions. That's not the real problem however; the real problem was the same systems that cause Tactile sensation going in overdrive. This can have a random effect, it can make you feel like your on fire, encased in ice, fried by lightning, simple unadulterated pain, or rarely; pleasure in varying degrees from mild, to intense and mind numbing.
To top if off, Flux Points appeared randomly and very suddenly without warning.

Still, her Father never did anything to fix these Generators even if the whole Layer population was writhing in pain.. well, or pleasure, but still.
This injustice made her hate her father all the more.
One day however, she managed to escape. She was only six at the time. and she didn't exactly escape so much as accept one of the Castle's maid's invitation to go out to the town for a "secret mission".
It was one of her favorite maids who was always so nice to her. She made it seem like a fun game at first, to hide from father and enjoy the towns without the guards following all the time.
And it was for the first while, until several hours later she found herself nine cities away and in a strange abandoned military base taking off to leave the country.
It was there, where she met bad people. People her father was so paranoid in keeping her safe from. She understood why he protected her so much, and wanted nothing more then to return home.
But that wasn't happening. It was there she learned to fear Man.

The flying base docked eventually in a smaller country where she was unloaded with a few other young children she learned where all royalty to other strange countries and kingdoms some she knew and some she didn't.
They were all moved from the flying base and onto many smaller aircraft that took them all away, taking different paths to one place;
The Facility.
The facility is where she spent the next twelve years of her life. There, she was experimented on. Though she had little to no pride or sense of embarrassment any longer.
She endured tough endurance exercises as well as mental training, the latter typically linked to the former in some way; such as if you got a question wrong you had to endure x amounts of what ever torture they thought up that day.
Many of the other children died off from the exercises, others died from abuse off the scenes, more still died from brutal competitions between the Subjects.
There was an even sixty children, they were all tattooed with they're Call Number; a bold stylized number laced with barcode inked with a special concoction of dyes and nanites that could track them if they ever escaped, or kill them on the spot by remote detonation.
Each was labeled as "Cain" followed by the number, the Cain project to resurrect someone...
Cynthia was Cain XV, or "Cain fifteen".

Twelve years. Twelve long, brutal years.
Finally, on the twelfth year the Captors declared testing was over. And that almost all of them would die that day...
All the children were placed in cocoon like machines with many wires and pumps protruding out from them. Inside the cocoons the machine injected them with various chemical compounds, and exposed them to certain types of radiation.
All the kids, now anywhere from fifteen to eighteen, were wracked with lethal pain, seizures, and visions of terror.
All died... except one.
Cynthia Ciel... missing Daughter and princes of Taiyke.

What had happened to her wasn't any different, she felt the same pain, fought the same convulsions, and endured the same terrible visions. But what she had that the others didn't was the Favor of the great demon god; the same dark god that was the goal of the whole experiment- The Escapist.

The Captors were all followers of this dark god, or so they call it. In truth, the Escapist is just a victim of bad reputation. Being in the wrong place at the wrong time, but having the wit and skill to get away safely. Sometimes he did bad things, yes, but he wasn't evil. He was just unlawful is all. Typically his schemes were against nobles or royals where were oh-so full of themselves. But did history remember that? no. Though he was heavily amazed these humans discovered him. Many times had the Escapist witnessed and evaded great falls and slipped away from epic fights between gods of Chaos and Hope. What where they're names again? He didn't remember, he never really cared to learn them.

Its no matter though. The Escapist grew rather bored. His link with mortality, even life itself was broken. He couldn't return.
Until these crazy humans discovered his history and thought him to be some great god of darkness who can bestow upon them the power to crush they're enemies if they could but resurrect him.
But what where they doing? They where kidnapping royal and noble children? Sure the Escapist taunted a few Nobles but really? Kidnapping, Violating, and Tormenting they're children? The Escapist did not approve. But there was nothing he could do.
Eventually, twelve years later, the "experiment" they performed on these souls came to an end and much to the Escapist's dismay they started killing them off one by one in big machines...
Then there was a light. a rather dim, flickering and dying light but a light none the less. It was coming from the hearts of all the humans, radiating out as if calling to him. He knew the general idea of what he must do now. And he had better act fast, many of the lights vanished as they're owners died out.
The Escapist was torn. He'd watched them all grow up in this captivity. But he made his choice...

Cynthia woke up after fainting from pain. She was so torn and felt dead inside... She saw life with new clarity, she felt so... displeased.
She had power within her... She could remember odd things and knew names for strange concepts and housed new ideas... She felt cool.. collective, cunning, and resourceful...
She knew she had power then, she knew tricks and abilities as well- no- Better then she knew the back of her own hand... Which surprisingly seemed different then when she last looked, but there was nothing off about it at all. That's odd.

With this new power, her newly opportunistic self seized the opening. The Captors were gathering, those who could anyway, to see the rise of they're "Dark God" Who as it turned out, was now a Goddess rather then some male...
Males... She shuddered and fought a small wave of terror. Why was she afraid? She couldn't remember why exactly, though she did have terrible memories that felt so foreign now... yet she knew she lived them.
It was no matter... for now she had only the desire, the NEED to escape. Escape... hah, she'd never found a trap from which she couldn't escape. Why did she think that? She'd never escaped anything in her life...

Using her new abilities, she did escape. The Escapist escaped. Escaped to the real world once again, not some world of cells and pain.

She's lived since, lived to be a nice age of twenty three though she hasn't aged at all since she was tormented at age eighteen and attained the spirit of the Escapist fused with her own. She mingled with normal society, bouncing around between Schools often. She enjoyed learning, learning new things. Everything felt like such a Novelty these days. Probably because she never actually attended a real school before.
She had no desire to return to her real home. She doubted Father or Mother if they were still living would recognize her anyway. So she wandered.... She'd travel often, stick around a school for a year, move on....

That was of course, until the "Rapture".   A cosmic event that ended Night, filling the sky with perpetual light and stole away all living light, taking them up into the radiance above.
It was of course seen to many as one of two things;  A holy event.  Or B)  Aliens.  The latter of course being correct.

Cain and a handful of others were the only survivors they knew of.  Cain had opened up a Wrinkleway and lead those who would follow to the safety of the Mirror World.  When they emerged when all was clear;  three weeks later after the Harvest ended and the all consuming race moved on.    They found themselves walking along a dead planet.  The atmosphere was tattered,  sunlight beating down in lethal doses of radiation,  No living thing remained.  Yet nothing was harmed.  It left cities untouched... However;  There was no plant or animal life to be seen let alone Human life.

There was little to do but exist at this point.  They lived as well as they could from left overs in empty homes and stores.
It wasn't long,  not to the immortal Escapist in anycase, before power went out from lack of management.  Thus leaving freezers and fridges to warm,  spoiling all they're contents.    Soon thereafter, again by the Escapist's perception of it, there was no hope left.   The Humans who lived there on Haven died out leaving only Cain.

.
.
.
Many centuries passed in which the Escapist wandered the dead cities looking for life that survived,   Enjoying what nonperishables she could find just for the Novelty of it.   Crashing with movies and other entertainment.

That's when she found it.  An old facility that housed some odd device that looked ancient yet futuristic at once.
Curious, she searched the facility for details on it.  She found them,  old records of stars.  The reports stated failed attempts to translate the language,  but to the Escapist the words came to her.
They told of stars far off, inhabited planets and many chartings done by simply "The Traveler" who apparently hailed from an advanced civilization called the Elinites, and how she was cursed to never again see her homeland.

Using these texts,  The Escapist was able to use The Traveler's vessel to leave the broken Haven behind and find new life.
