Physical Description
Verity is short and slight of figure which she typically conceals beneath overly-large clothing.  She has long, blonde hair that is always clean, but not always combed.  She tries to keep it in pigtails or a single, long braid to keep it out of her way, though its fine texture means that it slides easily from whatever style she's attempted.  Her eyes are muddy green but intelligent.

Personality
Her wit is quick, but a deadpan face might often lead others to think that she is slow or humorless.  She communicates with a great deal of sarcasm and, at times, exhibits the tendencies of a short person attempting to make herself seem more important than she actually is.  In large crowds and around strangers, she becomes incredibly uncomfortale and compensates by either falling silent or by being overly abrasive.  She is most comfortable with mechanical or technological items - especially if they allow her to isolate herself.

Magic/Abilities
She is incredibly adept with technology and mechanics able to fix, change, or build items of her own design if given the proper incentive and material with which to work.

Relationships
None

History
She grew up in a small, isolated village filled with a dying race.  Noticing her abilities with their outdated machines, she was sent to a military school in the hopes that she would be able to return with connections and materials to save her people.  She found the school onerous and wanted nothing to do with some of the required courses or many of the other students.  Her increasingly bad attitude brought her to the attention of the board of directors and a single mistake cost her the hope of graduation.

Asked to leave the academy, and her village's hopes ruined, she was shunned by her own family and friends.  She was forced to find someplace to fend for herself, finding whatever odd jobs she was offered.  Increasing restrictions have made Aedolis unbearable for her, so she is intent on fighting her way off the planet - no matter what it takes.
