Taiyou Empire

1. Race nameTaiyou (Human)
2. Characteristics A Taiyou is a variation of human, the same species, though different. Having been seeded by an ancient and powerful race many years ago, the Taiyou have developed independantly of Earth. They bear a very eastern culture and appearance. Having East-Asian features, and language.

3. Homeland The Taiyou homeworld is a medium earthlike planet called Niihama. It's climate is generally warm and humid, half of the planet is covered in a mega-city, and the other half of the planet is pockmarked with mega-cities.

4. Special abilities and distinguishing features Taiyou technology is generally behind verything else, still using chemically propelled projectiles, the Taiyou however are extremely advanced in Cybernetics, cybernetic interfacing. Advanced prosthetics, cyborg technology, and things of the like.

5. Life cycle The Average Taiyou lifespan is between 100 and 150 years. Sometimes longer if the person is in a prosthetic body.

6. Cultural description
The culture could be described as somewhat alien, very progressive and industrious as a society, however they harbor many beliefs that many people would find strange and backwards. Their culture is remarkably similar to Imperial Japan, in the 2400s.

The Taiyou government consists of an Emperor, Empress, the Royal Family, and then it branches down to the Prime Minister, whom is in charge of handling Taiyou government affairs when the Imperial Family is unavailable, then there's the Directorate, which houses the Director of Science, Director of Public Security, Director of Defense, Director of Finance, Director of Law, and the Director of Foreign Affairs.

Further down the Taiyou government Branch is the Military, the current branches are as follows:

Taiyou Global Military Forces - This branch is in charge of overseeing the other branches, they consist mainly of high-ranking officers, Generals. The current Roster of GMF Officers are as follows.

General Ichiro Hakuro - Supreme Military Oversight
Maj. Gen Takun Kobitsu - Assistant Military Oversight

Taiyou Ground Military Forces (Imperial Taiyou Army) - This branch is in charge of Planetary seiges, ground battles to seize worlds and fortified positions. There are a number of sub branches in the TGMF.

ODST Division (Orbital Drop Shock Troops) Shock Troops dropped from orbit via specialized pods.
Armor Division - In charge of things like Tanks, Mechs, and other heavy armor.
Mechanized Division - In charge of Halftrack positions, artillery, APCs.
Infantry Division - Infantry
Air Division - Orbit to Surface troopships, attack helicopters.

Current Generals:
Lt. Gen. Tadamichi Kuribayashi - Supreme Oversight

Taiyou Maritime Military Forces (Imperial Taiyou Navy) This branch is in charge of all things naval. They are in charge of the starship aspect of the Taiyou Empire. With Hundreds of fleets at their disposal, the TMMF is an integral part of the Taiyou Empire, normally tasked with guarding trade routes, the TMMF Can be mobilized to go to war with anyone whom threatens the Taiyou Empire.

Divisions:
Taiyou Maritime Self Defense Forces - This section of the TMMF is designated for orbital defense of Niihama and her interior colonies.
Seige Division - This division is tasked with the orbital bombardment of planets with high-power long range bombardment barges.
Marine Corps - Highly Trained, elite commandos in the Taiyou Navy, usually the first to fight in a planetary siege.


7. Religion
The Taiyou hold a largely Atheist belief, mixed with Enlightenment belief systems. Some could compare the Taiyou Enlightenment system to the ancient Earth Buddhism.
