Physical Description:
Grace is a thin girl of somewhat average height.  The recent time she has spent alone in the wilderness is the main reason that she is underweight, since she was kept adequately fed and healthy while with her parents, but now is constantly hungry and in search of her next piece of food.  Her body is just starting to develop, a little bit later than some of the other girls that she went to school with, but not so late that she had been teased too much in school.  She has long legs, that are a bit too long for her height, though she will probably grow up a bit more, and a tiny frame, inherited from her small mother.

Grace’s face is usually bright and cheery with rosy cheek, though her recent stay in the wilderness has made her face pallid from a lack of nutrition.  Her eyes a bit large, but not to a freakish degree.  Her golden hair used to be kept at a medium length, with her bangs coming down to her eyes, with two pigtails coming out of the sides, though her time in away from society has resulted in her hair growing a bit longer, down to the bottom of her nose, and without the pigtails she wore.

Personality:
Grace is a fairly average girl, or at least she was before she learned of her magical abilities.  She liked talking with other kids her own age, playing in whatever method was fashionable at the time, giggling at simple and fun little jokes, and such.  But after her powers manifested, she became much more reserved, trying to keep her emotions in check in hopes that this would stop her powers from manifesting in public.  She stared spending more and more time at home so that nothing would accidentally happen, as far as her powers were concerned.  Grace still enjoyed doing all of the things she did when she was younger, but that fear overpowered her and dominated her lifestyle.  Her parents did not help in this, since they feared for her even more than she did.  This fear still controled her while she lived alone in the Martian landscape, though the fear had become one of being noticed and found at all, not just in terms of her powers, which she has recently been using with increasing frequency.

Background:
Grace was the first born child to a young couple, living on the outskirts of the Edanith capital, Tynova.  Her upbringing was relatively mundane, nothing especially exciting during her first ten years of life.  When she was three a brother was born, and then when she was five, a sister, both of which strained the small family’s low income, but things never got too bad and there was always food on the table, even if it was not much and not all that good.  But overall, she was happy enough with her life, playing with the other little boys and girls that lived near her, always having someone to talk to or spend time with.  She also had a little boyfriend for a while, even if all that it entailed was telling other people that they were girlfriend and boyfriend.

Until the age of ten, this was her life, relatively carefree and happy.  But one night, Grace had a nightmare, something that she had never before experienced.  The terror was absolute, but her body was paralyzed, as is the case during dreaming.  She woke up, not long after the dream ended, to the sound of her brother screaming.  She saw him and her sister laying at odd places in the room, both with fresh bruises and gashes on many parts of their bodies.  Their parents came in, asking what the matter was, noticing, as Grace had, that two of their children were lying beaten on the floor, while the other lay in her bed.  Her brother was quick to say that something had happened causing him and his younger sister to be whipped around the room, seemingly by the wind.  Her parents thought that they knew what was going on; they assumed that their daughter was a witch.  Reaching this conclusion might have just been an overreaction to a freak accident that grew out of the Edanith fear of magic.

Their assumption, however, was correct.  Over the coming weeks, this would happen again, always just after Grace had a nightmare.  After the second occurrence, Grace was moved to a different bedroom so that she would no longer harm her siblings, though the winds kept up every night, getting stronger with each day that had passed.  The problem was what the family should do with Grace.  The idea of forcing her to live with a Mordecai was sickening to her parents and even worse to Grace.  There was the option of hiding her, keeping her kept away from the public from here on out and just acting like she did not exist in order to stop others from coming after her, but this too would have disastrous effects on the young girl’s psyche.  They decided to hope and pray to the goddess Brighid that she would be kept hidden from those who would use her for evil.

Not long after she turned fifteen, however, Brighid deserted the family, and the government and the Mordecais were able to find her.  Though, not all was lost, as the family was forewarned that they would be taken away, by a government post no less, that informed them that the date of her departure was a few days away.  Saying tearful goodbyes, Grace was sent away by her family for her own sake, so that she would not have to live as a tool of the state, so that she could try for same semblance of freedom.  She left two days before her Mordecai was to come and take her away, with only a small pack of canned foods and a knife.

Grace wandered the Martian landscape for a few weeks.  During that time, she learned to better control her Aerokinesis, in addition to learning that she had Pyro-, Geo-, and Hydro-kinetic abilities.  None of the four were particularly strong in the girl, with none of them being particularly well controlled by her.  After a week, her food supplies ran out, and she has, for the past three weeks, been living on whatever plant material she can manage to obtain and eat.
