1. Race name:Yavarian

2. Characteristics:
They’re basically really big humanoids. They may range from 6’5” to as tall as 8’10” and can weight up to three or four hundred pounds. Yavarians are built to handle many tasks that involve hard labor due to their massive frames and tend to be more muscular than fat. Their skin tone doesn’t differ that much from humans other than it may be darker or lighter depending on which moon they come from.

3. Homeland
They are from the planet Yavar in the Sancta System somewhere near the Solar System of the Earth. However the planet itself remains uninhabited due to being a wasteland unsuitable for life. Therefore, the natives resorted to living on any of the five jungle moons.

4. Special abilities and distinguishing features:
Unlike their human counterparts, Yavarians have great strength and can lift an amazing amount of weight. They can be distinguished from human with their physical structure and height. Males are only slightly stronger than females. All Yavarians have at least some psychic ability; most of this ability is capable of relating empathically to other beings (whether sentient or animal). They are also adept fighters and create inventions to suit their environment.

5. Lifespan:
200-300 years on average. Up to 500 if they care for themselves properly.

6. Cultural description:
From childhood, which they appear as average human babies, to adulthood, Yavarians stress their culture upon strict discipline. Most Yavarian children are taught the Yavarian Fighting Arts not only for self defense but as the building blocks for a sense of self-respect, honor, and discipline. Despite this background, they are a peace loving people and only go to war when absolutely necessary. With this type of culture they stress brains over brawn and are renowned for their knowledge of different cultures and wisdom.

Family and familial ties are incredibly important to most Yavarians and have a hierarchy based on the oldest member of the family. However because wisdom is more important than age, if the oldest member is a fool, leadership is then passed down to the second oldest and wisest member of a family. There is no gender bias and respect is gained depending on how one contributes to a community. They tend to be very close-knit with one another even if they are separated by the different moons.

7. Religion (describe!):
No set religion. Respecting and honoring one’s familial spirits (and current family members) is a common practice around the galaxy that it shouldn’t be considered a religion.
