Physical Description: Roland is a rather tall man, standing in at a little over six feet tall, and is is reasonable good shape, though he could afford to work out more. He has long, chestnut-brown hair that he keeps tied back, as well as a thick beard that he normally keeps carefully trimmed. The left side of his vaguely aquiline face is badly scarred by what appears to be a burn from his chin to his eyebrow, and though he has gotten some surgery done to repair the damage (His has both eyebrows, and his nose has been fixed up), it is still unnerving. His left eye is obviously artificial, and is a solid gold in colour, while his unmarred right eye is a more vibrant golden-brown. He has a rather large tattoo of a Celtic Cross embraced by a dragon on his upper back, a relic from his younger days. He speaks with a pronounced accent, which he seems rather proud of.
As a Theresian, Roland is a natural-born lycanthrope, and thus posses the ability to shift his form at will, either into a large raven, or a hybrid blend of his animal and human forms. He shrinks down for five feet in hybrid form, and three feet in his raven body. However, like all lycanthropes, he is compelled to shift under the light of a full moon, though he retains complete control of his actions under these circumstances.
Roland normally wears a long black jacket and slacks with a white shirt underneath. As his cloths do not shift with him, Roland's clothing is typically loose and baggy, allowing him to shift while wearing them in relative ease. As a pacifist, Roland doesn't carry any weapons on him, though he may be persuaded to use a personal shield or the like.
Personality: One of the first things others notice about Roland is that he is a gregarious man. If not stopped, he will talk your ear off about anything, even something as irrelevant as the weather. He believes strongly in the maxim “do unto others as you would have others do unto you”, so he always treats the people he meets with utmost courtesy and respect, even if they do grate his nerves. Roland will not force his religion upon someone else, however if he is asked about it, he can and will preach. While Roland might have experience with the supernatural, he is still a skeptic and tends to think that others are foolish, and will believe in whatever they are wont to believe. It is rather odd for a man of faith to talk about 'proof', though he can and will number off a good list of things he believes 'prove' the existence of his god. Andre tends to approach situations logically, trying to think up what would be the simplest and most efficient solution to a problem. He is strongly opposed to violence, after he was caught up in a brawl that lead to the scarring on the left side of his face, and the loss of his left eye.
