Kaida
Race Name: Kaida
Characteristics: The Kaida look like a mixture of humans and dragons. It presents itself in several different ways but a few details are always the same. They all have scales of some kind, sometimes on their back, their arms, they could be anywhere. They all have reptilian eyes, though they could be any color. Their hair also normally matches their scale and/or eye color in some way as well. Their ears are also like a humans but sharper at the cartilage, like an elf ear. In some people the dragon half can present itself in extreme ways, like wings, claws, horns of some kind, fire magic,psychic qualities, maybe even flight.
Homeland: Ryuun is their home planet, it's technologically advanced. They love their robots and computers. The planet itself is still very natural. Lots of woods and a couple large bodies of water, Moanna and Arnav. It has two moons that go around it. They have a few species that are specific to the planet. Komala is a cat like creature with dragon-like wings and eyes. They are a sweet species which many people from the planet keep as pets.
Special Abilities and Distinguishing Features: Technology is a gift almost all of the race has. The abilities that are highly sought after are flight, fire manipulation and or just all out fire magic, psychic abilities. A lot of the race even if they are not presented with the all out psychic abilities can communicate with each other in their minds.
Lifepan: 450-500 years old.
Cultural Description: People are very introverted in this culture. There aren't a lot of things to do that don't involve technology. Though the younger generations have started to get a grip more on the nature of the planet again. they are starting to spend more time outside and out of the ships. More nature appreciating hobbies are popping up around the world. Men and women are very equal in the government's eyes and in the culture. The government works through voting for a council and it is made up of men and women with one central leader. They have a healthy off world trade with many places.
They have an obsession with their history and the stories are passed down. Almost in a Native American sort of way and how they use to do it in the past. Families gather around to pass them down. Movies re-tell the stories and update them. It's very important to them. History and technology are the biggest subjects in the schools they go through.
Religion: They don't take much time to question higher beings or purposes. Though the younger generations are starting to take more of the off world ideas and pick them up. Their history is like their religion, they tell the stories and stretch and exaggerate while telling them so they are almost like mythology, holding up their old war time heroes and other historical figures sort of like Gods.
