As Iliya embraced him, James blushed and his heart accelerated. She smelled so nice, he had almost forgot about that. He felt her body against his, so close to his. He dropped a soft kiss on top of her head. As she went to attend to the cooking space, her hair brushed his face and left her perfume floating in the air around him. he couldn't do anything but to inhale deeply.

"Is it ruined?" Asked James anxiously.

As he turned around to see his sister, James saw with fright what happened to the kitchen. He sighed. "Sis... What have you done again?" He grabbed a towel and started to clean the mess, his cigarette stuck at the corner of his lips, puffing thin clouds of smoke through his nose.

Once the counter top was 'alright', he washed his hands and faced his sister. " I got to tell you that it smells good though!" a small pout of approval appeared on his face. " Don't worry about the floor, the rumba will get to it eventually." He took the final hit of his cigarette before throwing it down the sink.

"Would you like some wine? As I said, it's your favorite!"

Walking the way back towards the library, since the store was right in front of it. "Maybe pasta's would be fine, I don't feel like eating meat today. Do you want something for yourself while him here?" He asked as he entered the store. "Alright, Alright. I'll grab some wine."

He walked around, looking without real attention the people around him shop. Old, young, tall, fat, male or female, all kind of people, from all around this part of town blended in here, forgetting who they were to please their needs. He sighed. He hangs up after promising he won't be too long.

In front of the wine, he chose a red one. His sister's favorite. Walking to the cashier, he asked for a pack of cigarettes and paid cash, leaving the spare change behind. He hated spare change.

--

He arrived at his flat, that he shared with Iliya, his sister. "I'm home!" He said loudly, to be heard all around the condo. "Bought your favorite!" He said entering the kitchen. Leaving the bottle on the counter. He took another smoke and lit it. "Iliya? Where are you?" He asked, walking around the house to find his younger sister.

At the sound of her voice, James smiled and laughed softly. He drew a long puff out of his cigarette before answering. "I should be him in fifteen minutes, just the time to buy a new pack of cigarettes and I'll be on my way home. As for my day, it was fine but long and boring, thank you. How was yours?" He asked.

At a corner of the street, he drew another long puff of smoke before looking at the white cloud flow out of his mouth slowly. "I hope you finally got the raise your boss promised you!" He drew another smoke cloud and squash the rest of the botch under his shoe before crossing the street.

James had been storing books and data files all day long at the library. Only a few customers usually come over in a day, around 5 or 6 if you were lucky, since everything could be found on the huge database that you could acces directly from the computer in you home. Anyway, James was bored and tired of it.

At the end of his shift, he walked out and locked the door behind him. "Why worrying? It's not like someone would want to steal a hardcover copy of 1984 by George Orwell or something... he thought out loud...

"Where did I...?" He muttered, annoyed, as he searched his pockets for his pack of cigarettes. "Ah, there!" He took one and lit it with caution while walking home. He had a copy of his favorite book under his arm, and a briefcase in his hand.

His cellphone rang, the screen showed 'Iliya' on the screen. "Great... What now?" It's not that he wasn't happy about his sister calling him, he was only annoyed by his long day of work and the fact that he didn't smoke nor had coffee in twelve hours.

He answered.

Dan drew his revolver, pointing it at the woman. "It's been a long time Gabriel, how have you been?"

Gabriel rested her arms crossed, putting her cleavage in evidence. The black latex shirt she whore was following every curve of her perfectly shaped body. Her dirty blond hair was flowing over her shoulder and was kept cropped around waist height. She had a pair of black latex pants. She carelessly held her handgun with her right hand.

"Dan, Dan, Dan... Always running after your dreams, are you? My, my... you look horrible." She said with a condescending tone.

"And you are... Ugh I had a thing for this... Shit..." Dan said, reassuring his grip on his gun.

Dan watched her every mouvements, learning faster then anyone. "The green and the yellow wires, got it!" He said while going to the next bomb, leaving a gentle kiss on her cheek.

The next bomb was made the same way as the other. Dan had no problem to rip the wires out. "So the air system... I thought the safety grid was on. And even more odd, the vent is supposed to be booted and welded to the wall. Who ever was that person, they knew what they had to do!" He said as he disarmed the last bombs with Cloak. "The next threat is the landing bay, I think I saw 4 of them and the last one is in the cargo bay."

They went to the landing bay.

More he thought about it more sense it made. Gabriel was still aboard the ship. He reached for his holster, taking his revolver out. "Can you scan the ship for living beings with that stubborn ring of yours?" But as he asked, footsteps were heard from the catwalk above them.

A mysterious woman was looking at them. "Did you missed me, my Dan?" She asked.

Dan looked at one of the bomb carefully. They looked familiar but...

"A new model, I don't think I can help."he sighed "It's on you... Sorry. Oh wait! I know that model."

He took the casing off and looked at the wirering. "R8, scan those wires and find the one connectes to the detonator." He yelled, knowing that the ring should hear him.

He turned around and looked at Cloak. "Sorry sweety, I really need a crash course on this model." A grin appeared on his face. "What about the exits point, did you find something?"

He returned to the bomb, waiting for the ring to report which wire was the most important one. The ring didn't answered. (OoC: sorry, I took for assumption that the ring wouldn't answer but only to Cloak.) "C'mon, don't be a princess!"

Dan's eyes went blurry. "I don't want to talk about him, never!" He said with a trembling voice and louder then he wanted to. He turned his head to look away from Cloak. As he did so, a drop of water felt from his cheek. He bite his lips, trying to keep himself from crying.

"Follow me, it's not far." He said, guiding her to the door and then to the engine room, a floor below. "They are all around the main engine if I recall correctly. We enter the room and walk with light steps, even though you are already good at that." He said, a small grin on his face.

Swiping his card, he entered first. The core engine was in the middle of the room. A spherical nuclear generator with stand under and over, immobilizing it. it was hooked to the engine with several other support generators. Small boxes, like in Dan's chair could be seen on the engine itself.

Dan looked at Cloak over at his left. Grief in his heart, his eyes went misty. What have I done?, he asked himself. He looked away, trying not to sob.

"We need to go by the cargo bay to access the engine room." He took a look at the results of the scan. "The most are in the engine room, five of them I think."

He took the gown off, stretched a bit, shaking the slight soreness from his elbow. A large part of it was covered by a lighter, pinkish-er scar. Dan's back was covered with small entry points. "I think I remember the last time this bastard taught me how to disable those things... Gorram it Gabriel!"

Gabriel was the bomb artist that Dan thought was dead. "Gabriel was my best..."

Dan smiled back at Cloak, blushing when he noticed she was naked. "I'll get you something to wear." He said, a bit embarrassed. Usually, he would enjoy the sight of a woman naked in front of him, but something inside him was telling him to look away.

Shame of getting her wounded like she was.

He reached inside another locker, getting a towel and a gown for Cloak. Blushing again, he tried to not look directly at her. He couldn't stop his eyes to take a glimpse at the pink marks on he skin though and his eyes went misty. "I'm-... I-... I'll scan the deck for more explosives." He said looking away to not show his shame.

He went to the console available in the medical bay. Dan initiated the scan, no deck would be spared. "Ten more scattered around the ship. The priority are the engine room, the landing bay and the cargo chamber." He said, putting his pants on, miraculously spared by the explosion.

The medical scanner voice: <Beginning report:>...

The scanner gave a full report of the damage Cloak had taken, including a mild head trauma.

Dan stood up in the medical pod, and... extract the metal shard from his body in a small grunt. "A souvenir for you, Honey!" He said, throwing it away. He stripped and ripped his cloths off.

The pod close on Dan, filling with matrix fluid. A mask attached on his face, letting him breath freely. He felt asleep, put in an artificial coma by the fluid tank.

-An hour passed- (OoC: if you don't want to describe that hour, jump in a pod)

Dan came out of the Pod, tumbling. his body was repaired but pain was still there. He looked around, looking for Cloak. "Cloak? Cloak, were are you?" He yelled with a rusty voice.

In a locker, he took a white dressing gown to hide his nudity.

Dan crawled until he reached the wall. He stood up, using the wall to help. How could someone slip a bomb in his favorite chair, in his office? How could they do that? The furniture costed, the books were destroyed... Everything he had in that office was gone.

"I think I know who is the bomber." He said, reaching for Kaliyia's shoulder. "The medical bay, we need to g--" his voice broke into a serie of cough, spilling blood on the floor. "No one can access that zone except the medic and me... It's safe there."

He stumbled and walked toward the medical bay, four doors after Kalyia's room.

As he entered, his knees went floppy and he felt. His breath was short and labored. Blood was spilling from his left side and mouth.

He stood up again, walking painfully to a table.

"Initiate scan!" He yelled as he lied down. "Cloak, come here. You need to be scanned for more damage..." He was fighting against fainting.

<The medical scanner voice> <Beginning report:>
-Light head trauma;
-major elbow injury;
-no vital organ damage;
-light burns;
-Your arm is broken again;

Mister Dan, I advise you to use our medical pods for tissue reconstruction.
<Report ended>

Dan looked at Cloak with misty eyes. He was crying.

"I am sorry! We shouldn't have met in these conditions! Now I go you almost killed! Why am I cursed to see everyone I love die!..."

He rolled down from the table, hitting the floor harder then a ton of bricks, and crawled to a medical pod. He was ashamed, he said something he wasn't sure of.

(OoC: I changed my dialogue styling, it's beginning to be painful in more then one way.)

Changing position again, something was wrong with the chair. Maybe it was broken. Dan would just have to repair it like he did once before.

"You are more then a pretty face indeed... You are perfect! Perfect for what I want to accomplish. I guess that you already have an idea of the reason why you are here now, am I right? Well in fact, I needed you to find intelligence for me, to infiltrate some organizations. The usual stuff for someone of your level. I want to find who the hell snitched to the Redcoats what we were doing, where we were. I want you to track him and bring him back here. I'll spare you the details of what will happen after that."

-Position change-

"The major threat for now is that snitch; he knows were I am, what I do, where I go, the access codes... Everything!  I would love moving the StarHound but a bulk freighter cannot be parked wherever I want..."

-position change-

"...Why is that gorram chair so uncomfortable?" He yelled angrily, standing up and taking one of his knife.

Dan cut through the cushion, in a way he could sew it back without a trace. He reached inside, taking a small metal box.

"Run! Get out of here!" He yelled, taking cloak outside of the room. "Take cover!"

He ran into the hallway, keeping Cloak near in a protective brace. Her back was against the wall and his against the explosion. He dressed her of his coat, hopping the bulletproof layer would help.

-EXPLOSION-

Dan was lying on the ground, a metal piece going through his left elbow and a part of his chest. He was laying on Cloak. The door to the office wasn't existing anymore. Even a part of the wall blew up.

"Kaliya? Are you alright?" He whispered, unable to raise his voice to a normal level.

Red deeply sighed. "At least we aren't in trouble. Anyway... Whats up with that colony anyway?"

She looked trough the window, the resolve of humanity was so amazing. She sat  next to her captain, waiting orders.

Crossing his leg and taking a deep breath, he changed position. He rested his chin in his hand, locking his eyes in Cloak's. She was really the beautiful women of his dreams...

He caught  himself thinking that. He blushed slightly and tried to hide it by rubbing is jaw. Why was he thinking that now, even better: why was he so deeply attached to her already. That was odd.

"Now tell me, Cloak, what do expect from me? After, if you have question, I will answer them as I can." He said with a smile.

He was intrigued by her way of seeing things and he didn't tried to hide it.

Red had forgotten why she was mad at Tristan for when she got out of the shower. She decided that it was stupid to stay mad so she let go.

Men, sometimes you just want them impaled...

She came back to her pilot seat. Tristan was bashing his head on the console again.

"Hey what's up? Stop that you gonna hurt her!..." She paused, seeing something explode on Edanith, "What have you done! I leave to take a freakin' shower and bombard Edonith? What's the gorram deal with you today!... Ugh!" She was a bit mad, but more annoyed then anything. "Let's go clean that mess of yours..." She sighed, like she was talking to a child.
